No personalized attention - for example: no work done on knots, therapist felt knots and brushed passed them to do a very generic feeling rub. It felt like there was only one or two strokes being utilized and not even a direction that felt good. Also, the therapist didn't reach the end of muscles on any strokes - Each stroke felt very incomplete. When asked for harder pressure, it wasn't done, just a push down every once in a while with an elbow. My head was scratched for a minute, like an entire minute. No massage or pressure on the scalp, just a head scratch; felt like the therapist was just watching the clock. On top of it all, there was an overall feeling like we were an inconvenience for Frank. Very disappointed with this experience. read more

There should be more stars available! I am not new to massage, but newer to regular treatments. I began with Frank about 8 months ago. I explained that I was looking for a regular therapist that I could come to on a regular basis, not just a one day spa treatment. Frank took up the challenge and I am still with him and his sensational techniques. He is the real deal and knows his stuff. There are times when I don't say exactly where the tension is and he can feel it!!! Frank, his family, and other therapists have created a space that is very quaint and welcoming. The environment is very peaceful and serene. I have yet to have any complaints about the location or my services. My fiancé and I took wedding dance lessons here because we didn't want to look foolish on the dance floor. Jessica, our instructor, was super knowledgeable and accommodating. She worked with us and was especially flexible with scheduling when we had to do some changes at the last minute. Frank was terrific & gave us well needed boosts of confidence. Frank has provided me with many excellent massage therapy sessions, including stretches, that have provided relief for my hip and leg pain. I chose to go here because it is close to my home and because of the great yelp reviews. I was very disappointed and won't return. The aesthetician seemed to be a nice person so I will not name her here. I am genuinely sorry to have to write a bad review, but I feel that the value here was so poor that I must warn others. I had a brow wax and express facial. The brow wax was one of the worst I've ever had. Instead of defining my arch, she basically made it flat. She failed to remove a bunch of hairs, which I had to do myself when I got home. This may have been in part due to poor quality wax, but still, she should have noticed and gone back to pluck these hairs. Worst of all, the right and left were noticeably uneven--the right being higher and the left lower. I believe she took off relatively more off the top of the left, and relatively more off the bottom of the right. The facial, although "express", still cost $50, and I would have expected much more for the money. It consisted of a cleaning, exfoliation, and moisturizer. The exfoliation part took by far the longest, but just consisted of placing goo on my face and then leaving me under steam for quite a long time (more than half of the session). She commented that the goo was a "very light" exfoliant. Um, I don't want just a "light" anything when I pay for a professional facial. During that phase, the aesthetician stepped out of the room for a bit (not unusual) but when she returned did not actively participate in the facial, just sat behind me apparently writing (and writing and writing). The sound of her writing, and the feeling of her being there but not really being present was not relaxing at all. I understand that an express facial takes less time, but it shouldn't include less focus on the client. All other facials I've ever had in my life (and there have been quite a few) have included something during the "dead" time of waiting for product to dry or to steam. Often this would be massage of the shoulders/hands/arms, which does not cost any extra product on their part. Also, she did not cover all of my face. She left a wide berth around my eyes (which she'd just waxed, so I suppose I can understand that). But she left my upper lip and lower nose completely untouched and did not work under the chin or on the neck/decolletage as all other facials I've ever had have done. I had to try to spread the moisturizer and sunscreen onto these areas after she left the room at the end. All in all, this was not even close to being $50 worth of facial. I can sit in a steamy shower at home, or bend over a pot on the stove to get steam. I don't pay for a professional facial to get an experience that I could easily replicate at home. :-( read more

I have used massage therapy for years to avoid going under the knife. I contact my massage therapist and chiropractor BEFORE I contact my Doctor. Suffice it to say, I am an experienced "patient". I have had massages all over the world; different techniques and settings. I found Frank by reviews on this site and others. I can't sing his praises loudly enough...first and foremost, Frank is one of the most knowlegable MTs that I have visited. He can connect the dots to find the root cause and has the patience and passion to "fix the problem." (My neck, shoulders and back have serious issues, which I can say he has been addressing really well.) It is so difficult to change MTs. Once you find some one who is good and understands your bone and muscle structure and the issues involved, changing to another MT is not easy. Unfortunately, the folks that have done great work on my body have moved on to other states or professions. While I am fairly new to "My Red Bow", I am extremely happy to have found it. Finally, someone committed to the long-term. This is the only massage therapy business I know of that is open 7 days a week. For those of us who travel down the road for work, this is an invaluable service. The location is beautiful and convenient (just off of Alternate Route 40 in Braddock Heights.) I would recommend Frank to anyone who is commited to massage therapy or who is having challenging issues with any muscular pain. He is truly committed to his profession and his clients. read more

I took my wife there for a couples massage as a birthday gift. This was my first massage and I was a little apprehensive about the whole thing! This is something my wife has wanted to do for years. It was my first time getting a massage and my husband and I went for a 30 minute couples massage - we didn't know what to expect, but the experience was fantastic! Frank and Patricia were extremely professional. They explained everything and because it was only 30 minutes, got right to work on all the kinks and knots. I looked on Yelp for some recommendations on a massage that I sorely needed. The string of 5 star reviews for My Red Bow caught my eye so I decided to give them a shot. It would be my first real massage. I called and they fit me in that same afternoon. Frank was my masseur and he did not disappoint. My calves were very tight but with a lot of attention Frank was able to loosen them. During the massage my foot was cramping (that's how tense my body was going in to this massage) but Frank was able to settle it down. I received the Deep Tissue massage and Frank kept me educated through the process. Plus he is just a nice guy...I had the pleasure of getting to know a little bit about Frank and his family. Frank's massage was amazing. He worked out literally years worth of knots from my neck and upper back this afternoon. Today, after my appointment, was the first time I was able to twist to look out the back of my vehicle while backing up in over six years. I was so pleased I already booked another appointment and I'm ALWAYS the, "I'll call you when I'm ready" person (hence, why I had years worth of knots....). I initially found My Red Bow through a Groupon and I have been a regular ever since. Frank is an awesome massage therapist & really knows his stuff. He has a great understanding of massage techniques and how to effectively incorporate them to achieve muscle release. He also truly understands anatomy and muscle function which makes his treatments even more beneficial. If you are looking for a great facial, schedule with Sandy. Her technique is very relaxing but also thorough. My 11 year old visits Sandy on a semi-regular basis due to her frequent breakouts and areas of clogged pores. She has noticed a huge improvement in her skin and credits her regular facials from Sandy! I have also visited Sandy for my facials & she really is a fantastic and knowledgeable esthetician.
