Lucky Paws Tennessee - Good dogs!

Grace has been a godsend for us and our dog. We adopted a rescue that has severe resource guarding…read moreissues and had not been socialized with people nor dogs. He's a unique dog, and for a while we weren't sure we would ever find someone who could effectively and safely handle him, but Grace was able to not only speak his language - but also safely integrate him into walks with other dogs and help muzzle train him. She quickly became his favorite person and was one of the only people he trusted. Grace went beyond the walks and basic training and would sometimes ask if she could take him overnight to get him used to being around different dogs (hers) and people. He always loves these sleepover and has learned to better read other dogs and communicate as a result. Our boy has come a long way, and we owe so much of that to Grace and Lucky Dog!

This turned out to be the perfect place for our dog. Jeff and Grace keep great control over the animals, and keep the numbers way down. Our dog was unsure of herself for the first day or so, but quickly joined the pack because I believe she felt very safe at this place. Great big fenced areas to play in, and best of all communal sleeping on furniture! She felt right at home. Highly recommend this place. You can see her airborne flying with the pack in the second photo!

I love having access to the outside play area cameras so I can still check up on Rocky even when we're apart. I love having that extra reassurance that he's having fun with the other dogs and being taken care of.

Misleading "Free" Night -- Beautiful Facility, But Watch for Hidden…read more We brought our little Maltepoo to My Second Home because the rep on the phone explicitly told us a one-night stay would be free. What we found when we dropped her off was very different. The facility itself is modern, clean, and you can tell the staff care about pets -- that part was obvious and appreciated. The problem was the surprise charges and upsells that only appeared at drop-off and again at pickup. Playtime, walks, and basic activities were all listed as extra charges when we arrived. The supposed "free night" turned into an $80 bill at pickup. Staff told us it must have been a miscommunication with a new employee in training, but that doesn't excuse the lack of transparency. Pros * Clean, up-to-date facility * Staff clearly care about the animals Cons * Misleading phone communication about the "free" night * Numerous hidden fees (playtime, walks, etc.) disclosed only at drop-off * New/poorly trained employees passing on incorrect info to customers If you're thinking about boarding your pet here, be very careful when you make your reservation. Ask for a written itemized estimate that includes everything (playtime, walking, fees) and confirm any "promotions" in writing. The facility has potential -- fix the pricing transparency and employee training and this could be a great place. As it stands, we left feeling frustrated and nickeled-and-dimed. -- James Meade

Thus, you have to be careful when grooming them because you could damage their undercoat and fur if you use mechanical trimmers. We picked PPPS because of the positive yelp reviews. We booked our pup for an appointment. PPPS uses text to communicate with you and the communication is excellent. PPPS needed vaccine records and many additional details to make sure it was safe for all the other pups at their location. We dropped off Zoey and spoke with the groomer (Bree). Bree was very aware of how to properly groom an Aussie. We had a brief conversation about what we wanted and believed Zoey was in capable hands. When Zoey was done, we got a text to pick her up. I was greeted upon arrival and Zoey was led out to me right away. Zoey looked fantastic!!! Bree groomed her exactly the way we had discussed. Zoey looked even better than I had hoped. I gave Bree a $20.00 tip. When I brought Zoey home and my wife saw her, my wife loved the grooming. My wife's only complaint was that I should have given Bree a bigger tip. I will fix that the next time we bring Zoey in for a groom.

He's not an easy dog but they have done amazing with him. When he was diagnosed with a hereditary eye issue, I was worried about having to board him as he requires eye drops twice a day to keep the condition treated. They didn't hesitate and said we will be sure he gets them as needed when he boards. They are amazing and I wouldn't take him anywhere else!

They claim staffing…read moreissues, but if you are providing a service you take care of your customers, especially on an appointment based business model. Don't take on customers and raise your prices only to provide not only mediocre services, or sometimes not even what you paid for!! I recently had 4 bad experiences in consecutive visits 3 on the grooming side and 1 on the vet side. On the vet side I was told my dog had Lyme disease and needed medication to take care of it. The vet never called in the script until I had to call several times. The spa side has been horrible. Not only have they raised prices, but the quality and service don't even justify half of what they are charging. 2 times nails haven't been clipped and on the last visit, I pay extra for the furminator/deshedding procedure and it was not completed or satisfactory. When I called to get a refund as I am tired of no consequences, they basically blew me off when I spoke to the manger. I was given a bunch of bs excuses (lies) and nothing to remedy the situation. I have asked for the owner or the head person in charge to call me to discuss and nothing. I have posted several times on their social media pages only to have them delete the comments. I will not go away until a satisfactory resolve is obtained. You FAFO with this last screw up. My goal is to post regularly until they do the right thing. I would find better places with proper management and ethics to spend your money.

I had strictly said rounded face, and we got choppy snout. She also didn't smell like a fresh groom either. I really don't know what they spent their time doing with her but it wasn't a groom. Do not get your dog groomed there. Nicest vets and great staff otherwise.
