    Beautiful long haired cat

I love cats and I LOVE this cafe. Granted we only played with 5 cats total and some were sleeping up high but I still really appreciated what they've done with the place. There is a huge playing area with cat trees, toys, cat food buffets, and water fountains. This is the perfect cat sanctuary for the feline residents that have rough histories. This shy fluffy black cat was one of the ones hiding above but she stuck her head out and came down the ladder because she wanted to play with our toy wand. Overall I think $7 entrance fee for 50 minutes is reasonable. There is also a cafe for you to order drinks as well. The place is large for the amount of cats there are so I hope they consider bringing in more feline tenants. It will be more enjoyable for guests who visit and the kitties locked in cages at the shelter will have a much better time at this sanctuary.

A cute cat cafe hidden in the back of a convenience store. Upon entry it may be confusing but staff are usually always at the front to take the entry fee payments and address the rules of the cafe. The fee is $3 with purchase of anything or $5 for entry. I collected 5 visits for a free visit with their stamp card. I usually only stay at the cafe for about 1-2 hours each visit but there is no time limit. I have visited on multiple occasions because I adore cats but my allergies prevent me from owning one. Each visit has been different. Some visits I've only interacted with one cat and others I interact with four or more. I'd recommend going in the early evening because in the afternoon the cats tend to go in hiding to take their naps during that time and aren't too playful. But it's nice that the cats are up for adoption if you're interested, which is amazing. And it's cheaper to adopt from the cafe ($150) as opposed to the humane society ($200) - from my knowledge. Overall, I normally enjoy my visit at the cafe because the cats are adorable. I only took off one star because I've had an unpleasant encounter with a staff member once which impacted my experience. As well, it is more rare to experience a cat cuddle up to you- it's only happened for me once. Just be aware of that and respect the cat's personal space.

Looks like many things have changed since their very first review; so it's only fair to give them a second chance if you haven't visited in a while. Catmission is $5 or $3 if you purchase anything in the store or cafe. It's not a fancy coffee house but they do serve Mountainview coffee that they grind in house. They serve Chapman ice cream. The very front of the place reminds me of a convenience store, then when I got to the counter, it's a cafe where you can order drinks with cute coffee art. The staff are warm, hospitable and good natured. After the counter is a pet store with pet supplies, and in the back, are the kitty rooms. Make sure to read all the rules and tips on dealing with the cats for your enjoyment as well as the cats'. You'll need to take off your shoes before you enter, so please make sure to wear socks. The litter boxes are located at the front of the first room, so naturally when a kitty goes #2, there is an odor; if it bothers you, you can escape to the back room. There are tons of comfortable seating options here. They must clean the seats periodically because I was surprised that I didn't leave covered in fur. There were several kitties scattered throughout: some shy, others playful and a few looking for some lovin. If you're a cat person, this would be a great place to hang out and chill with some new feline friends.

    Don't mind Julius ...he's having a nice stretch :)

We love visiting the Kitty Cafe when we're in town visiting family, it's so nice to come here and hang out with the cats while enjoying a coffee, they sell cat supplies, treats etc. too. Next time we're here we have to try the food off their interesting menu. Keep up the great work guys, you brought a wonderful place to Guelph. If we were here longer we would definitely love to adopt a cat and take him home to New York. The cost is $5.00, and $3.00 if your purchase food or a drink, the money goes right to helping these wonderful cats. ** Ask for their loyalty cards, they have 1 for drinks purchased, and 1 for entry fees ** Once you fill them up you get a free drink and when you fill up the entry you gain a free entry ** How awesome is that!!

What an experience that was. The young girl working seemed sweet but looked like she was crying because she was so stressed with her orders. Once we got in to the area with the cats, there was a lot of people. No cats to be seen. Upon closer inspection, the cats are sleeping on the highest areas. It seems as if they do not want to be bothered or touched by people. There were a few young people consistently following and chasing the one or two cats around that actually came out. No wonder the cats don't want interaction, I wouldn't like that either. All in all, I'm sure the kitties are just fine but still - I'm sure they'd be happier elsewhere.

a tiny black kitten sat on me and when i had to leave it was following me around and playing woth the strings of my backpack

We didn't come for the coffee or food so I can't comment on that, we came to hang with the cats. The front of the establishment is a convenience store and coffee/snack bar and the back is where the cats are, in an large enclosed area with a glass wall. We stayed for hours playing with all the cats (9 at the time). If I was a cat I would never want to leave because it's so much fun! There are couches and chairs everywhere and a huge carpeted tree in the middle of the room. There are shelves on the walls for climbing up to hidden nooks and crannies, baskets to curl up in and lots of toys to play with. There was no smell and the place was clean and tidy. The staff are really nice and you can tell they love the cats and the cats love them. All of the cats are up for adoption and what makes this place so great is that you can see the personalities of the cats as they run around and play or shy away. It helps you choose which cat is perfect for you.

Delicious latte and a friendly kitty

Great cafe! Coffee and food was amazing, seating is comfy (lots of nice soft couches for the humans and cats to enjoy). Lots of cats to visit and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back! As other reviewers have noted, this is a storefront (small convenience store) with a cafe. They also have a good selection of cat toys and accessories. A bit of an odd setup when you walk in, but makes sense when you get to the back area with the cats. It doesn't smell at all, as other have noted, and the fabric couches are clean and make for comfy seating for both humans and cats. There are lots of cats sleeping in all different spots and a few walking around. If you are in the area and love cats, this is the place for you!

    Rebecca. Quiet and affectionate.

All of the cats were sick when I was there. The food is okay - but I don't think they should charge admission if you are ordering food.

Awesome place to go adopt a cat! They get to spend time out of cages and sit with people, which is better. Would definitely recommend.

The staff working that day was super nice. She helped me take pic with a cat and also answered questions promptly. She was also very friendly. There are two admission and I chose the one that is $19.99 that includes a drink. There is no option for no ice and it starts at less ice. For sugar, you can customize for no sugar to 100% sugar. There are a number of cats there such as ragdolls, dex Rex, bengal, dsh etc This is not just a cat cafe but also a coffee and dessert shop. There are about 10 tables with chairs and the decor is super cute. PLastic covers need to be wear on your shoes when you go inside the cat room. The good thing about this place that the admission is good for the whole day and you can come back and drop in later until closing time and time certainly flies when in the company of the cats Highly recommend to check them out. The cats are so cute and they seemed to have different cats at times, cats that i haven't seen in my past visits.

Meow Woo Studio is divided into two sections: the cat area, and the cafe where they sell drinks (bubble tea) and some snacks (cakes and muffins). Before going into the cat area you have to put on plastic foot covers and sanitize your hands. There are also optional masks available and lint rollers (for when you leave, also optional). Unfortunately, you can't bring food or drink into the cat area but that makes sense for the safety of the cats. Also, as a quick fyi- the employee in the cat area needs to let you in and out so no cats wander out! There were a ton of cats and plenty of places to sit in the cat area. There are toys you can use to play with the cats and cat treats you can buy at an additional cost. I had a ton of fun petting and watching cats over the course of a few hours! You can't stay as long as you like and you are allowed to come and go as you please throughout the day. Finally, I just wanted to say how friendly the staff is! The individual behind the cafe counter was really nice and brought our drinks to our table when we were ready to have them. The individual in the cat area was obviously really good with the cats but he was also super friendly, having chats with guests and helping kids pet cats. They really help make Meow Woo Studio so inviting and an awesome person place to visit!

Parking was plentiful. The service was great, the owners were both there and we were impressed by the quick service and help with the games. The game selection is moderate, they have all the classics and popular games like catan, wingspan, etc. as well as smaller box games like Sabobatage. Some games had copies as well so you don't have to wait too long for your favorites. Would visit again to enjoy games and snacks with friends again in this wonderful third space.
