Peter was fantastic. But the center has been bought out by Hearing USA which is a disaster. My husband sent in his aid for new battery in Feb.Then my Hearing was bought out. USA HEARING had not sent his aid back. to make a very long story short hundreds of phone calls, calling Florida, making appointments when there is nobody available, my husband couldn't hear his sons vows at his wedding and his goddaughter's bows at her wedding. He's basically been deaf since February, and cannot get his hearing aid back. We are STILL trying to no avail. USA hearing is the most unorganized, customer, unfriendly organization that we've ever had to deal with in any capacity.I am so sorry My Hearing is gone and Peter is gone. He was wonderful as it was Tony but the new company. So Hearing USA contacted us and I have to say they were quite wonderful. They apologized for the problems that my husband had for not being able to hear for so long and not getting his hearing aid back and all the frustrations that we had in trying . They offered him a new set of hearing aids and we worked with Chelsea in Santa Monica who was fantastic and they made good on the problems that they caused us so at this point I would give them five stars! Stand by what they say and that is that they give good customer service. Maybe it was the transition of buying my Hearing I don't know what their problems were but they took a care of our problem. read more

I received a letter from MyHearing Center for free hearing tests. The letter did not have a local # so I called the 800 #. Red flag #1: After rep validated letter ID she began to qualify me asking for insurance provider info. Then she gave me the local #. She told me it was important to bring the letter to my appt for further promos. Red flag #2 I received a followup text msg from Lisa stating it was IMPERATIVE that I call her immediately back. REALLY. That was a bit pushy. I called her the next day and I asked her whether audiologists do the testing. Red flag #3: Lisa said NO, its Kayla, a specialist trained to do the test. I said "in other words a hearing aid sales rep." I canceled my appt. Throw away the letter and book an appt with a real audiologist. read more

Took my brother in law to see if they could fix his old hearing aids that were like 10 + years old and as a walk in late afternoon they took him right in cleaned his ears and tested his hearing and fitted him for a new set of hearing aids and he is so happy he can hear again we are happy we don't have to yell at him anymore!! I can't say enough good things about My Hearing Centers. Peter is simply wonderful to work with. I am on my second pair and enjoying the blue tooth connectivity. Peter has been ever so patient allowing me to try the "in the ear" model which I did not like and seeing me so many times I can't count to fine tune my hearing aids. He is very helpful, patient and generous with his time. He took into account my lifestyle and needs, explained everything to me carefully and has been following up regularly. It is important to remember that (1) hearing aids are not cheap (thousands) and (2) they may not restore your hearing to what it was depending on the cause and extent of your hearing loss. Let's face it: It's not fun wearing a hearing aid; they aren't like fashion eyewear that people clamor to wear and there are no designer hearing aids (although you would think there should be based on the price). As someone in her 30's, it was a little difficult to bite the bullet and get a hearing aide--I felt like an old lady! But Dr. Leiterman was very calm and patient and also reassuring. He said most of his clientele are like me. His selection of hearing aids speaks to that, as he offers the technology for older people who need something pretty straight-forward, and also plenty of fun tools for the gadget-happy younger set. The hearing aid I selected even has BLUETOOTH! During my first appointment I was given a thorough hearing test. Once my level of hearing loss was evaluated, I was able to "test drive" several different devices (I got to take each of them home!) to determine which was the most comfortable and "user friendly." Dr. Leiterman brought me in for as many follow-up visits as needed until we got it perfect. He didn't complain once that I was being high maintenance :) The pricing is fair, but now that I have my device, I've realized that you can't put a price on the ability to hear. No more trying to figure out what people are saying by watching facial expressions or trying to lip read. No more asking "what?" "what?" "what?" every 5 minutes. I realize now how exhausting that is. I was told by my ENT that I have some lost in hearing. I took the test, he gave me the prescription and told me to find out if my insurance company will cover the cost paid for hearing aids. Most insurance companies don't pay and sure enough, my insurance company did not. They referred me to some places where I could get a discount. Well, time went by and I didn't call any the companies my insurance company recommended. Then one day, out of the blue, I received a letter from Socal Hearing, read it and called to make an appointment. I met with David Jenkins and we talked about what I need and he was so gracious, really knew what he was talking about. He hooked me up with a pair and through trial and error, we found the perfect hearing aid for me. He also hooked me up to have my hearing aid financed. He took care of everything!
