We came for a trial class. Decided to hold off on extending. My daughter is two and was very overwhelmed with the class we attended. She has come out a little more since then, but that day, we mostly observed the class going on. I loved the creativity of setting up a traffic jam activity. The kids could go around obstacles in vehicles and go over a bridge. There was a skill learned- the wheelbarrow-and it was practiced throughout class. My daughter liked when they set up all the different swings. She also enjoyed the trampoline station. I'd consider returning for consistent classes when my daughter is slightly older. read more

We had my son's 4th birthday party at My Gym and had the most amazing experience! We were blown away by how tailored the games were to his Super Mario party theme. All the kids were thrilled and several parents commented how impressed they were by how streamlined and organized it was. We were lucky to have the party hosted by our 2 fav class teachers Ms. Talia and Mr. Mark (although in our experience every teacher we've had has been excellent). They took into consideration my son's preferences in songs & games. They brought high positive vibes and made sure all kids felt welcome and comfortable to play and explore. This place was awesome. My child had so much fun during the classes. They are well planned out in terms of instruction & learning, but still allowing them to have freedom to play. They clean the equipment in between classes and there was never too many students all at once. I trialed multiple locations and loved the teachers here the most, especially Ms. Christine & Ms. Jacqueline - they made my child feel so special and seen by remembering little details/preferences. They were so kind (even when kids were acting out) but yet held firm on boundaries & were instructive. Teachers are literal angels to deal with a class of toddlers lol. They offer classes of different ages and even have a drop-off option for older kids. They hold special events for the kids during holidays and offer private parties. The parking lot is spacious & never had a hard time getting in or out. Definitely a great option when your child is learning to socialize & for them to let out their energy. read more

Joined My Gym last month to help keep our 18 month old active and of the few places we toured/tried this was by far our favorite! The staff/teachers are amazing, kind, caring, outgoing, and very supportive!!! They are probably really what sets this place from other "kid gyms". This place is very structured... with something new every ten/15 mins (great for our toddler daughter). Class starts with some freeplay, followed by circle time, introductions, stretching, singing, then more free play. The best part is two teacher set up different stations that the kids can visit/try. When Maddie isn't interested in a station she just runs around, finds the slide, the trampoline, or ball pit and has a complete ball! They always bring out swings and she loves that too! They even incorporate some "parent free time" they bring out a big sand turtle (with no sand) fill it with wiffle balls and send the parents to the lobby so the kids can play independently!! Everyone helps clean up and then the class ends with some more singing and saying bye! This place is ridiculously clean (even the bathroom) and I can't speak enough about the staff!! If you're looking for something to do with your active toddler than stop searching and swing in for a class; you won't be disappointed (and if you're lucky your little one will take a good nap!) read more

I don't usually write reviews but I had to say how much we love My Gym and all the teachers there. We used them during the pandemic (private play) and now our kid goes to the preschool prep. We have seen a huge improvement in our kid social skills. He loves going there and always come home with a big smile. I would highly recommend my gym. This a great place for little ones to get out energy! The location appears small and unassuming but the inside is full of fun kid-friendly play equipment you would expect to find in a kids gym (trampoline, ramps, etc). They even have a rock climbing wall! The staff is super friendly and you can tell they have high energy (much needed for a little gym!). They offer multiple classes and camps, a preschool class for 2.5 year olds, as well as a Parents Night Out class a few Saturdays a month from 6-9. The parents night out includes fun activities and it includes pizza for the dinner. I highly recommend trying this establishment- little ones can get out energy, have fun, and will probably beg to go back. read more

So much fun for your little person. CLASSES The classes keep it moving. The instructors are friendly, warm, and have a lovely energy. Every 5 minutes, there is something new happening to keep your little person stimulated. In the event that your little person doesn't want to follow along and does something else- no big deal. My daughter is obsessed with slides and swings. The staff did an exceptional job keeping her engaged and luring her away from the slide. SPACE My Gym is a smaller space than Gymboree, but we appreciated their amenities more. They also have a few structure that Gymboree does not: ball pit, trampoline, and bars. LIMITATION There is one... MyGym does not have a drop in option. If you're taking a class, you're committing to a schedule. (Gymboree has a drop in option.) Just something to consider for when thinking about scheduling. read more

I absolutely adored the Tykes / Waddlers class we attended at My Gym. The space kind of looks like a primary color palette threw up on the floors, walls, and equipment, but hey, kids love what they love and clearly, My Gym has the lowdown on what kids love, because my daughter had the absolute best time!! The class was relatively structured, with an opening introductory song, some dancing/exercise moves, and then moving onto more open play. The instructors set up different areas with various activities/exercises -- an assisted tumbling area and a "car wash" where they rode a little ride-on car through some hanging obstacles and bubbles, and then later swings and a demolition derby. Everything was super fun and very interesting for both kiddos and parents. After those activities, things wound down with story time (to a song, with puppets), and "separation time," where the kids played independently and the parents were encouraged to go back and stand in the lobby (still within eyesight, although my daughter probably wouldn't have cared if I'd just walked right out the door, lol. She is very independent.) All in all, it was a really great class that kept her captivated the entire time. It was also listed as a 45 minute-class but it was closer to an hour -- my daughter was totally zonked afterward! I really want to sign up for a membership and take her weekly, although the price of a class membership is somewhat prohibitive for us right now. I wish they allowed for drop-ins for their classes! They do offer open play though, so I guess we'll just have to take advantage of that until we're able to get onto the class train. Either way, you can definitely consider us huge My Gym fans!! read more

Just had my sons 4th birthday party! It was amazing! The staff was so attentive and there was no stress for me! They took care of all of it! My son had so much fun with his friends and the skill stations were also a lot of fun! I am so thankful for such a great well oiled birthday party where everyone had fun and the kids played and I know they will sleep well tonight! Amazing owners and staff! This is a business that I have watched grow into a community facility. The owner, Michelle, is exceptional. She goes out of her way to provide a great place for our kids to learn and play. She takes hiring very seriously and only hires the best of the best. She takes care of her employees and you can honestly see they like their jobs! She also helps the community. We go to their events often. She has given back by offering her facility and services to do many events for the community. Very clean and a great experience for my 3 and 5 year old. They have been going here since they were 6 months. The facility is very family friendly and since we don't have family nearby they feel like it. My kids trust the staff and so do I. I know they will be well cared for and loved during Parents night out. I know they will be learning new things in their classes including how to follow directions, vocabulary and awesome tricks! Tucked into this small shopping plaza is big fun for little ones! My two toddlers really enjoy their time at this My Gym and adore their instructor, Ms Carmen. Ms Carmen really knows what she's doing. She loves children, and it really shows. We did try another My Gym at another location, but they just didn't have the patience to handle my two toddlers. I would have given My Gym 5 stars however my 3 year old daughter got hurt during the "Parents Night Out" program. A board had fallen on her head, and I was never told of the incident by the staff. My daughter told me later that evening when we got home. My son who is 4, confirmed it. We have had 2 parties there in the past which were fantastic, but this last encounter was so frightening I can not recommend it with a clear conscious. I asked the staff about the incident and was told they had planned on calling me... not acceptable. I absolutely do not believe I would have been notified unless I confronted them first. A detailed injury report should have been filled out, and I should have been called when it happened. If not called on the spot, I should have been told when I came to pick her up 10 mins early. The manager never called me to talk about or to apologize about the incident. I had to follow-up with the manager not the other way around. Perhaps a phone call to see if my daughter was OKAY?? I expect better of a facility that is geared towards younger children. read more

Even though we've lived less than 5 minutes away for years (since before we had kids), we had never been to My Gym until my daughters (2-1/4, 4) attended a birthday party there recently. [The main reason for not trying it, admittedly, is that I had taken one of my daughters to a class at Gymboree in Burke and was not impressed. Sadly, I let that experience color my impression of kids gyms in general.] After a great experience at the birthday party, my daughters really wanted to go back. I signed them each up for a free class, just to see how that experience compared to the party. I found the teachers to be really engaging (especially Tanya, who has been at most of the classes we've been to), and the classes are a good mix of free play and structured activities. We have been taking advantage of the unlimited classes for the summer, and both girls are going 2-3 times a week, at least. I think it will be a shock to them when we have to scale back to once a week. read more

I'll start by saying that after my first review, this business did reach out to my family, and offered a month of classes so that my son could try the facility again. When I stopped by, the employee was not able to offer us the month of classes-instead offering one free class and a discount on lifetime membership. We did not take this option, and decided to try MyGym again in the future. We LOVE what they do at public events. So fast forward to the future-we recently attended a birthday party at MyGym, (the children were ages 2-7) and the experience was wonderful. We held a birthday party here for our 2 year old this weekend after recently joining the gym. This My Gym has new owners and it has been updated. They did a fabulous job gearing the activities for our age group and were very energetic. The class schedule has a ton of great evening times that work well into the working-mom's schedule and our son is always exhausted when he leaves (he requests the "indoor playground" nearly every day). My 2-yr old son has been attending classes for over a year now, and I do not foresee a time when I would dis-enroll him. My son did not come with instructions, lol, so I appreciate the kind and gracious pointers from the staff. The facility is clean and parking is fantastic (where in NOVA can you say that?). I particularly loved that the instructors took the extra effort to encourage independence when it would have been easier to let the caretaker (grandma) step in. I joined Yelp specifically so I could say nice things about MyGym. My son started going to MyGym when he was one and has enjoyed it ever since. The classes are well structured and fun. They offer appropriate aged based challenges that help them develop their coordination as well as a better understanding of how to relate to the physical world around them. Classes start with music and stretching, followed by dancing and a skill. The skill is something like a headstand or somersault, the child learns how to do it and the parent learns how to safely guide them in the activity. They get plenty of time to explore the gym at their own pace as well as the opportunity to go through specific skill stations like a trapeze, balance beam, or even a zip line! My kids have also attended their summer camps, special events like a visit with Santa, and my son had his birthday party there and all were great. The qualities that make MyGym in Burke so special are the cleanliness of the gym and the engaging and caring counselors. They know the kids by name as well as what they like and what challenges them. While all the counselors are great, Miss Jackie, Miss Amber, and the owner Miss Michelle are particular stand outs. I am very happy that my son goes there, it helps him develop his strength, coordination, and confidence. read more

Went here yesterday with my family for my friends son birthday party and I have to say I was very impressed with the staff and the venue itself. The kids had so much fun and played non stop for an hour and a half and right after they finished eating they ran right back to playing.
