I've worn contacts for 30+ years, and this was the worst exam I've ever had: Remote exam: plagued with connection issues, no doctor onsite, and no way to speak with a doctor. Staff barely acknowledged me, never measured my eyes, and didn't check lens fit, etc. Pressure to buy: trial contacts felt dry and vision was blurry, but they still pushed me to purchase. Hostile management: when I called back, the manager (Krystal) told me "you shouldn't even have showed up, you don't need an Rx, you didn't buy anything." She also said I couldn't get a refund because I used insurance. Misleading process: they never told me upfront that I would not be allowed to speak to a doctor during a "remote exam." Wrong prescription: they gave me mismatched strengths (one too high, one too low). My new doctor confirmed my prescription hasn't changed in years and fitted me properly with the daily Acuvue lenses I originally requested days later. Bottom line: This office is focused on sales, not patient care. I strongly recommend going elsewhere. I tried to file a complaint with regional management, but Krystal pretended to be her and intercepted the call. So now I have to file a formal complaint to the Optometry Board. Sigh. read more

It was time to get new eyeglasses, since our eyes needed a stronger prescription thanks to the pandemic. We came here once we were fully vaccinated. We still practiced social distancing and wore our masks inside. It was reassuring that the staff here were wearing masks and social distancing signs were seen throughout the store. I really did appreciate that all the eyeglasses on display were sanitized once customers have worn them once. Zoe was helpful with our eyeglass order to meet our needs and get the best discount because eyeglasses are expensive. We can't wait to get our new glasses soon. They quickly determined that the prescription was for some very high-end, lenses that I didn't request or want. Carla is a badass, she was there for me when I came in with last second stuff and she was great and respectful and she had the right attitude for my energy. She was cool with helping me again with my last minute self. I didn't have luck at 2 other locations to use my personal frames and the prices were too high and she made the process simple and easy and got me a good deal in less than an hour I was out and about. read more

We went into this location to order several pairs of glasses in March 2023. I received mine in about 2 weeks but my husbands did not come in until 2 months later. Then when they did they were scratched. They sent them back and several month later they came back and was scratched again. They sent them back and promised that they would be back in on 9/11 and today on 9/18, we were informed that they cancelled the order and that the glasses have been sitting in the store for over a week. I will never ever go back to this store/ and this company and I recommend that you stay far away from it too!!!! read more

This is my 2nd time using this company. My first time I had no problems. Bought 4 pairs of glasses, had a couple specials at that time This time, however, is a different story. I went first part of March. Ordered sunglasses and regular glasses. Both supposed to be in Mar 22. Received my sunglasses. Still waiting on regular glasses. Every week they add another week. Now supposed to come in April 12. That will be over a month. Called corporate, all they say is sorry. Will not use again. read more

I popped into an optician's for an eye test, needing the exam report for my New York state driving licence renewal--mind you, I'm stationed in Texas currently. Before the exam, the staff member was all smiles, assuring me everything was sorted. But once done, she was pushing me to buy a new pair of glasses. I tried explaining that my existing ones were perfectly fine, only to be met with a look as if I'd just nicked her last quid, and she flat-out refused to give me the exam report without so much as a by your leave. I'm telling you, it felt like a proper con. If you're not forking out on their products, they treat you like rubbish. And her attitude? Sorry for the 4 star - You had to have offered a plate of fajitas to receive 5.... My first visit started with hiccup - No digital registration (Internet was out) - and time spent at the store took too long because of this and that. So I got up and waved good-bye. The person in charge approached me and offered me an incentive for me to return. A week later, I decided to take his offer up and returned to the store. This time, it all ran smoothly. I had my eyes checked, and registration complete (medical information, insurance this or that) This time around, I was not able to stay long (Not their fault) so I decided to pay what I owed and plan on returning at a later date. A week later, I returned to choose my frames. Again, it all ran smoothly and I got what I wanted. A note to those contemplating a visit to this store. All tech aids were fantastic, courteous, and quick to answer any questions. No pressure, no sales pitch etc. Just plain ol' "did you like this one? Can I see your payment method and thank you very much" and bye. Easy.... I don't remember their names except for Zoe. She is the one that took care of my order and all else. My visit was was good. The staff is polite, along with the eye doctor. When I was my eyes checked, it was different than most eye appointments. There is a series of machines that I went through before I even saw the doctor. I found it fascinating and pretty cool. The ladies were very patient with me, and the different machines, because I was having a hard time with them, one of the machines wasn't working, or I wasn't? The doctor was very nice, and she listened to everything I said. She took her time, instead of rushing me through the visit, which I liked. I would recommend My eye lab. I made an appointment online for 5:30pm , got a call from their store to arrive on time . I arrived early 15 min early - filled out all the forms , gave them my insurance. Soon as I told them I didn't like any frames . Was told the system is down and they can't see me today . Bad business and while I was getting my eyes scanned prior to exam , the tech tells me after the test for current vision . "Man you really need glasses " Your employees need to work on their people skills and your store well. Y'all are fowl for asking me to leave ! Because I didn't want any of your frames ! Next time put that on your advertise , buy our crappy frames or you won't get an eye exam. Oh - you took my insurance for the eye exam ..... that you didn't do... so please don't try to scam my insurance for an exam! In all my years of wearing glasses I have never had a bad experience in getting the prescription done correctly until I went to My Eyelab. In June I took the prescription from my eye doctor to My Eyelab. I immediately found a frame for my glasses and Sheretta was very helpful in guiding me through the process of choosing the lens. She told me they were running a special discount of half off the lens. I was happy to hear that and ordered a second pair as sunglasses using a frame I brought in with me. In about 10 days I went back to pick up my new glasses. When I tried them on I immediately felt dizzy and could not focus on anything. I took them off and told them that's not my prescription. They said they used the prescription I brought and I should check with my doctor. I went back to my doctor and had to pay $87 for another exam since my insurance only pays for one exam per year. My doctor said the prescription was correct as written but the glasses were not done correctly. I went back to My Eyelab and they said they would reprocess the glasses. In about 10 days the glasses were again ready and I went back again. And again they were wrong! I was very upset at this point and asked Sheretta what I should do. She offered a free eye exam with their virtual doctor. I agreed, had the exam and waited. The glasses came back and guess what? They were wrong again! At this point I was done with My Eyelab. I went in today for a full refund. I gave them three tries to get it right but they couldn't do it. And they had the nerve to deduct the cost of the eye exam of $45 from the full refund! No apology from Sheretta! This experience cost me $87 + $45 for eye exams and I have no new glasses! read more
