The worst experience we've ever had hiring this business was a total mess. They didn't deliver on their promises. We have proof of the poor service they provided. The so-called "coordinator" didn't do her job properly. They didn't fulfill the venue's decoration contract. The girl was extremely rude when told what to do, and she was also poorly dressed and disheveled. We have a huge list of their terrible service, their lack of compliance, and their unprofessionalism. DO NOT HIRE THEM. They don't fulfill their job or what they offer, not to mention the enormous amount of food that was wasted because of the coordinator (no one knows where those desserts ended up) because the coordinator didn't refill the tables and didn't fulfill what was previously agreed upon in the contract. A total disaster. DO NOT HIRE. I booked Lisa for the Angel Lux package, but I truly felt like I did everything by myself. Honestly it was more of an effort to work with Lisa than to just take on the role of planner. I am from California and booked my wedding in Texas, so I was relying on Lisa for a lot of help with recommendations and receiving my packages. When I booked her, I was under the impression she was a full-blown company and had staff working for her. This is one of the reasons I went with her. I FLEW OUT to Texas to meet Lisa for the "playdate" and to do a walkthrough of my venue with her. She was a no call no show. I tried multiple times to call the company number, but she hires a receptionist service who have absolutely no idea what is going on. Lisa told her virtual receptionist to text me TWO HOURS later stating she had a family emergency. I did not expect Lisa to show up, but I did expect to be met with some sort of solution since I would be flying home the next day. This is when I realized Lisa had no staff. I only heard directly from Lisa by the time I was back home, and I attempted to null our contract, but she convinced me otherwise. Big mistake. I did a virtual "playdate" with Lisa and picked out some decor. She said she would send me a box to see in person. After a month or so, still no box so I reached out and did not receive a response until months later. This cycle happened THREE times. Finally, my now-husband and I threatened to take her to civil court in Texas for breeching her contract (which is incredibly vague). She decided to hand us over to a different planner (Who is absolutely fantastic) about a month from our wedding. Lisa sucks at communicating and falsifies information on her website. She made the wedding planning process brutal, and I am a pretty laid-back person, so I wasn't even expecting a lot. Don't hire her, save your money and sanity. If I could give zero stars, I would. I hired Lisa from My Event Angels as my wedding coordinator, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Communication was a constant struggle. Scheduled calls were missed or rescheduled without notice, and I often had to follow up multiple times just to get basic responses. Despite promising access to the PRISM planning system, I never received it. Lisa also missed several important deadlines--many of which she set herself. She frequently contradicted herself on what was included in her services. For example, she initially told me her team would handle setup for my tabletop décor (which I was bringing), but later claimed setup only applied to items rented from her. Fees changed without clear explanation, and she refused to refund my $300 linen deposit even though I canceled well in advance. On my wedding day, she showed up late and didn't communicate that we were already behind schedule. As a result, I missed out on meaningful photo moments I had planned--like pictures with my daughter, my husband and his groomsmen, and my bridesmaids. She disappeared during key moments, didn't coordinate with my hair and makeup team, and even tried to leave early before doing a required walkthrough with the venue. Her assistant (her brother) had no clue what to do. This entire process caused me a ton of unnecessary stress--especially in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. I truly regret hiring My Event Angels and would not recommend them to any bride looking for a professional, dependable coordinator. read more

PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR COORDITATION OF DAY OF YOUR WEDDING. The Décor was good BUT be careful missing table decor item that were twice confirmed in the meetings prior to the wedding. We had a terrible experience this last Saturday May 17. We planned this wedding for over a year, and we picked a beautiful venue and we thought it would be a dream wedding. Many things were unacceptable because every detail and instruction was written and verbally communicated to the coordinator. At the Beginning they will paint a great picture to get a client on the hook to say yes and sing a contract, after that the communication starts to fail, with no text or email responses. The coordinator canceled the last walk through at the venue one week before the wedding. Vendors reached out to the bride multiple times on the final week. The bride was not properly supported/not taken care of the morning of the ceremony. The church wasn't ready when the bride arrived, guests started to help the church coordinator to make everything ready for the bride, guests informed the coordinator was seating outside the church during the ceremony, When we arrived to the venue nobody was welcome and the music wasn't ready to start, and we started walking around to find help. After the cocktail hour the place was a mess. The bride asked for help and nobody helped at all. The coordinator could have made sure that everything was ready and this did not happen. The coordinator missed all the details for the most important moments. At the toast, the couple and parents didn't have any glasses to toast with. During the bouquet toss the bride couldn't find the bouquet. At the final exit, there were glasses on the floor and the bride and groom were all by themselves with no support. We hired a professional chef for the cocktail hour, sweets table and cake, and after the party was over we got informed that they left food for refill in the kitchen and NOBODY informed me about that. I used Lisa for my wedding and she helped not only with emotional support leading up to my big day, but also all the last minute things that can go wrong day of. I absolutely love the bridal kits with safety pins for last minute needs! Thank you for the fabulous DJ recommendation- I still have people to this day calling me and asking for HIS number hahaha. And a big thank you for coordinating with my catorer and my pastor. Couldn't have had such a smooth day without YOU, Lisa! It has taken me this long to review this vendor and only because my last daughter is marrying am I doing so. It has brought what happened with this vendor right back to the forefront. We used this vendor almost 5 yrs ago but, arrogance has no time limit. Under her supervision this happened: First and foremost, at the rehearsal day of, with out my awareness, mother of the bride, she told the minister he was NOT WELCOME in the CHAPEL to rehearse the wedding be. When confronted the next day, she was unapologetic. The WRONG FOOD was served at the venue, there WAS ONLY ENOUGH WEDDING CAKE FOR 1/4 OF THE GUESTS, and a LIMO BUS, 1 of 2, we had for transportation home for guests LEFT BEFORE bride and groom had done THEIR GRAND EXIT and when confronted about all of this there was no satisfaction. There was no follow up on her part for all of the terrible mistakes day of by the vendors she recommended and by her lack of contact with them. No monetary compensation, nothing, not even an apology. Honestly, an apology would have satisfied us. She was hired because I have physical disabilities which limit my involvement in planning and she was told this. The Bride was unable to help plan, she was told this. She was hired to do all that we could not. This was a $35,000 wedding at the Carriage House, Montgomery County, Tx. FYI: The vendors used were Posh Affair for the catering (wrong food, poultry not beef) and Cakes by Holly (not enough cake for the 150 person wedding). I don't include the limo vendor as he separately dealt with the driver and compensated us. So NO, I WOULD NEVER USE HER SERVICE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND HER. read more

Our son and his bride had a wedding on Saturday and we were all very impressed with the bridal event. Mainly James Jackson. He was fabulous, very professional from The beginning to the end of the event. Impressed, is all I can say. We used them as day of coordinators and they did so much more. We met up 3 times before the wedding, and they also answered any questions we had over the phone and through email. They made sure we were ready for the big day, and organized our master timeline. I can't tell you how much of the burden they lifted from our shoulders. They also had very affordable renting options for linens and other things, and not only was it a great price, but they also packed it away after the wedding. They had answers to all our questions, answered questions we didn't think to ask, and gave us insight that we desperately needed. You can't go wrong with these planners. read more

I feel compelled to warn anyone who is considering My Event Angels as their wedding planner and coordinator. Selecting a wedding planner is a huge decision because this one vendor has the power to make...or completely RUIN... your special day and there is no going back to change it once it's done. My Event Angels not only completely mis-handled every aspect of the wedding day, but they added heaping insult to injury causing lasting damage. Saying Lisa let us down is a gross understatement. Even the other professional vendors made comments and followed up in writing about what a horrible job the coordinator was doing. Lisa initially won our trust by appealing to faith, but she uses that to her advantage. After the wedding, we took the time to schedule an in-person meeting with Lisa and presented 3 typed pages of examples of neglect and failure to deliver on their commitments. She apologized and said she wished she could go back in time. We asked for apology letters to those who were harmed by the gross negligence and verbal slurs. She agreed to that and volunteered to write us a reimbursement check immediately. She said that she is in constant communication with the Lord, and she feels good about giving us our money back. Not only were services not rendered but they caused emotional pain to the bride, the groom, and their families. The apology letters came and were not apologies but defensive justification of their behavior, with lies. Lisa withdrew on her commitment to reimburse, and "the Lord put it on her heart" to offer the couple a cheap cruise instead ($400 vs $1500). Apparently, the Lord changed his mind! Honestly, no amount of money or apology can undo the damage, the painful memories and the lasting regret My Event Angels caused. This is the last thing I wanted to do after what was supposed to be one of the best days of our lives. I booked My Event Angels mid March 2023 just for day of coordination services since I already had all my vendors booked (Lisa knew this prior to us booking with her). I scheduled my "Welcome Phone Call" about 2 weeks out after signing the contract. During this 2 weeks, I got a handful of automatic calendar reminders from My Event Angels. The day of our welcome call, I stepped away from work to take the call at our scheduled time, only for nobody to call me, and all of my emails and phone calls to My Event Angels went unanswered. About 30 min after our call was supposed to have ended, Lisa emailed me apologizing that she had the wrong time written down. I was understanding, but I felt very uneasy about not being able to get ahold of anyone at this company, especially when said company is responsible for coordinating my entire wedding day. Regardless, I accepted her apology and we moved forward. Fast forward to our "play date" Tuesday May 2. The day of our meeting, my fiancé and I showed up to the location on the email reminder from My Event Angels, as well as Lisa's personal email signature, only to find out we were provided the incorrect address. My fiancé and I both took time off work for this 2 hour meeting, drove an hour to get there, and after arriving at the wrong location provided by Lisa, she texted me the correct address which was an additional 40 minutes away from the location we were initially sent to. Instead of taking accountability (I sent her screenshots of the wrong location on her email signature and the calendar invite), she consistently blamed her scheduling software. Once we (finally) arrived to the play date, Lisa seemed very frustrated with us that we already booked our florist because Lisa wanted us to rent My Event Angels decor. She continued to quote us over $2,300 for just linens, candles on tables, napkins, and chargers... $800 of that invoice being for an ADDITIONAL "design team" on top of the coordinator(s) that would already be at the wedding. So $1,700+ for day of coordination then $2,300+ for a decor design team. My florist charged me $600 for all of these same things minus coordination. At the end of this meeting, she proceeded to request to see my invoice from my florist(whom I had already rented decor from) and she spoke to us like my florist was unprofessional when I couldn't find the broken down invoice for our decor in my email right away. (I eventually found it and she backed down). My fiancé and I left this meeting feeling SO embarrassed. Final straw... a few weeks ago when I was booking my hair and makeup, I emailed Lisa just asking if she felt 3 pm was too late to finish hair and makeup for a 4:30 pm ceremony and she said she can't provide me with an answer without me paying $150 to build my entire wedding schedule "early"...? Luckily, this was a question my photographer happily answered right away. Finally, my fiancé and I realized booking My Event Angels was a horrible mistake and due to all the previous issues at no fault of our own and the stress and anxiety about our wedding day running smoothly this company caused us, we cancelled our contract. We had already paid nearly $900(50% deposit) for absolutely nothing completed for our wedding, and Lisa refused to refund even a portion of it because "she hadn't neglected me as a client". Ultimately, we still cancelled, because after everything we experienced with this company PRIOR to our wedding day, losing the money was better than continuing this relationship and hoping for the best come wedding day. I said it once to Lisa when ending our contract and I'm saying it again.... I truly hope one day My Event Angels understands that providing compassion, understanding, and support for the brides that have hired them for essentially one of the biggest days of their lives is worth entirely more than any amount of money could ever be. read more

I am not leaving this review lightly, as I worked with Lisa and her team for a year planning my wedding. The process started out well and easy but two weeks before my wedding, my coordinator quit the company and I was assigned a new lead coordinator who was not prepared for many event details by wedding day. I was very nervous but Lisa assured us of a "perfect wedding day because they never plan for mistakes." The day of the wedding was so chaotic and unprofessionally handled, my other professional vendors had to step in to coordinate and made comments about how ill-managed the event was from start to finish. We could not find our coordination team majority of the event. After all the small things went wrong, the biggest screw up was that the lead coordinator sent the wedding party down the aisle when all were not present - the best man did not go down the aisle after the wedding party told her many times that he was not in line. Instead of owning all the screw ups, we were met with excuses and told over and over "it's not my fault" on the wedding day. We met with Lisa and the head coordinator to speak about everything after the honeymoon and Lisa sympathized with us since she was not present and hadn't heard about the day honestly from her staff. There was an agreement for repayment reached due to the lack of service provided on wedding day. Lisa went back on her word after this meeting, did not give my parents anything they agreed on, and then proceeded to tell my mom not to contact her again for her well-being, as my mom was not the "customer", even though she was the one paying for services from My Event Angels. I am aware mistakes happen in event planning but My Event Angels was not equipped to react in a professional manner or, later, willing to remediate their mistakes. Ownership was never taken for the horrible management of our wedding day. The interactions we've had with the coordinators on the wedding day followed by the interactions with My Event Angels since the wedding have left an awful taste in my mouth. I would look elsewhere for a stress free, enjoyable wedding experience. read more

I cannot rave enough about My Event Angels. Lisa was outstanding, calm and professional throughout the process. We decided to hire just for "Day Of" and she went above and BEYOND (probably halfway around the world beyond). From all the tiny details of the timeline, to taking the bobby pins out of her hair to fix mine at the end of the night, I could not have asked for a more relaxing experience. I was confident that she would be able to take on anything that may come up. She was able to read what kind of couple we were (let's just say we still didn't have all our i's dotted and t's crossed) and didn't make me feel stressed out about it. She was there from setup through the Hindu ceremony through clean up...even helping rush the flower arrangements into the florist van so we wouldn't get charged. My now husband was a little skeptical about hiring a coordinator for day of, but he confirmed that this was the best service that we spent money on. My older brother, who is a man of few words, even had something to say: "Worth every penny." THANK YOU for making my day so smooth and perfect. read more
