Very pleasant experience this past weekend here. The staff, specifically Marty & Gaile , are incredibly kind and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious!! Both breakfast and dinner!

My husband and I started eating here when it was at it's first location. We have continued to go there for all these years. The food is great as is the service. We love having a long-standing relationship with the owners. We also love supporting small businesses. We happen to stay at the Brookview Manor Inn, where the restaurant is located, which makes it even more convenient. We love both places uniquely and combined!

Cozy and quaint... the food was good but it was a bit loud on the veranda. Apart from that, it was great.

I informed the waitress, and she kindly replaced it ,but the second bottle had the same issue. My daughter refused to drink anything else, so I had no choice but to go out to the parking lot and get our own bottled water. That should have been the first sign that the experience wasn't going to improve. We all ordered burgers, and they were extremely disappointing. Not only were they overpriced, but the buns were completely soaked in grease and falling apart. Even though we requested medium-rare, the burgers came out raw -- not just pink, but visibly undercooked. It was very unappetizing. While the restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere, the quality of the food and overall experience overshadowed that. We left feeling uncomfortable, and our stomachs started hurting afterward. Sadly, we regret choosing this place and would not return.

From the moment we made our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, asking if it was a special occasion and greeting us with a personalized note on our table and flutes of champagne upon being seated. The ambience was perfection, cozy yet spacious, with a warm fireplace, perfect lighting, and comfortable seating that made us feel relaxed and pampered. Our server, CJ, was absolutely top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and added so much to our experience. We were treated to complimentary potato wedges as a taster, and I had the best Moscow Mule I've had in over a year--setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the bacon mac and cheese, perfectly savory and indulgent. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed a New York Strip, and I had the crabcake with fries. I also ordered the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts with bacon, which were out of this world. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to take home leftovers for a second helping the next day. Dessert was the bread pudding with caramel butter topping, a decadent finish that left us completely satisfied, and the dark chocolate sea salt frogs that came with our bill were such a thoughtful, personalized touch; little details like that make memories. As parents of three, nights out are rare, and indulgence like this is even rarer. This was truly a night to remember. Even as a local for 19 years, I'm embarrassed it took us this long to visit, but I can now say with confidence...we will be back. Bravo to the entire kitchen staff and CJ for making our anniversary unforgettable. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond, this is it!

As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

We ordered their salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli, Chicken Française with a side of potato wedges, a side salad, Grilled cheeses with french fries for the kids, tuna melt, cheese curds, and a sandwich off their special menu I can't remember the name. The sandwiches came with bagged kettle cooked chips! I wasn't able to picture everything because everyone had mostly scoffed their food down immediately. Lol. Definitely recommend their brownie sundae for dessert, with their Double Dunker ice cream! SO GOOD! I also included a video of one of our rowdy kiddos having a good time with her food! Super worth it dining experience, I will say there is absolutely no signal to use your cellphone, so more family bonding haha. This place is amazing and would definitely come back.

Our server Lizzy was friendly and kind as well. An impressive children's menu included filet mignon with mashed potatoes and other items you might expect including: Mac and cheese and chicken fingers. The cocktail menu was very nice and for starters we opted for some fresh oysters. Very good flavor but alas, the didn't prepare them for slurping and we had to make the muscle cut ourselves. After all of the sauce, lemon, and hot sauce we added, it was a waste because the oysters weren't cleaned properly. Not a meal catastrophe but a detractor none-the-less. The braised rib meal my wife ordered and my own Chilean sea bass were both very good and presented over butternut sauce and mashed potatoes with a vegetable medley. Prices at the resort were respectable and our entire meal with two cocktails was about $170 before tip. Not too shabby for a good meal while at a beautiful resort. This space also doubles for the breakfast buffet that we found to be A-ok as well. The buffet had all of the usual breakfast items you would expect plus a beautiful selection of fresh fruit and pastries. Have simple kasha or an omelet made to order to make your meal your own experience. Coffee is included but the cappuccino will set you back another $4.25. Fair value and good tasting food. $25 for adults and half that for the chillens

The owners Mark and Carol were more than accommodating, and they made us feel very welcome during our weekend getaway. The room was spotless and super cozy. We honestly got the best sleep ever as the beds were super comfortable. The included satellite TV service was a nice touch, as we were able to watch some good shows while unwinding from our day. The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Everything was super fresh and it screamed top quality ingredients. I had gotten the special with truffle and asparagus with home fries and it was VERY good. My lady had scrambled eggs with sausage patties, blueberry pancakes, home fries toast and she loved it as well. That same night we had dinner in the restaurant named Butter, and it was such a treat. The menu is extensive enough to have a variety of options without being overbearing. Dinner was just as amazing as breakfast, and EVERYTHING we had was top tier. We got a Tokyo Mule, the Sidecar, The Margarita Flatbread, the Lobster Campanelle, the Horseradish Crusted Salmon, a Nutty Irish dessert cocktail and an Espresso Martini alongside a dessert (I can't remember which one we shared). We devoured absolutely everything we had. Portions were generous and the flavors were out of this world. Customer service on the restaurant side was also very good. Do note that dinner isn't included in your stay, but I HIGHLY recommend trying the restaurant. Aside from all of the above, I can't overstate how good the customer service was here. Mark and Carol really made this place feel like a second home. The decor also gives that feeling, and it all culminates to being one of the best places I've ever stayed. Don't hesitate.
