I've had mild back pain for about 6 months but then over the past weekend I injured it to the point…read morethat I couldn't even move without excruciating pain. I went to my local urgent Care and they said I have a herniated disc, they gave me some mild pain medication and some stretches to try to help. I was given a recommendation to see a chiropractor if it doesn't get better, after 2 days the pain didn't go away at all so I said screw it I'm going to a chiropractor. Honestly I just picked Dr Geelan because he was close to my house and he had the most reviews on Facebook, but holy crap he has been my holy grail. In a 45 minute visit I was checked in by a very friendly receptionist, given a full consultation by the doctor, X-rays were taken and read, then he adjusted me and gave me a game plan of what to expect. he told me I don't have a herniated disc my vertebrae was just out of place and it was pushing on my sciatic nerve. he told me exactly what to expect and when it would happen and to come back the next day and he would adjust me again, I instantly could walk and get out of bed again without pain in my back. I still had the leg pain but he told me that it would take a while for that to go away because it was a nerve and it was working its way out, everything happened exactly how he said it would. For my adjustment the next day I felt even better and he had found three other vertebrae in my neck and shoulders that were out of place that I hadn't even felt pain on so I had no idea. My leg pain gradually traveled down to my foot until it was gone, which was exactly how he said it would happen. He talked with me about how stretches are a good way to prevent injury but they will not treat an injury to your vertebrae / ligaments / nerves, an adjustment does that . His recommendation was that I just take it easy and try to keep walking because that would be enough exercise to help loosen me back up. I'm going in for a regular adjustments now but I feel like a whole new person! I didn't even finish the pain medication that the urgent care had given me because I didn't need it anymore. Whether you have severe pain, or if you're just looking for someone to do occasional maintenance on your spine then I would highly recommend Dr Geelan's office!

After my first visit with Dr. Schwenn, I was sold on her and her practice…read more walking into the office was great. there were lots of little kids toys, a kids adjustment table, and a room for nursing moms to use. It made me feel right at home! The visit itself was amazing. Dr. Schwenn did an amazing work up with x-rays (more than I've seen any chiropractor do), a weight bearing test to see how your alignment was, and a test for spinal inflammation to see exactly how your body is positioned. I liked the extensiveness of her work on me. She actually found some arthritis in my neck and upper back that no one else had mentioned before. The adjustment was awesome as well. Before I went to Dr Schwenn, I thought I was a hard person to adjust because it always took it insane amount of pressure from other chiropractors to get my spine to move. Dr Schwenn uses brain, not bran to get the results that we need. at one point she was working on my lower back/tailbone area she used an adjustment table that fell down underneath my stomach. It felt like she was barely doing anything and I thought it wasn't going to work, but after she was done I started to relief feel the effect of what she had done. it was so weird, she got results that I wasn't expecting her to get.
