I wanted to share my experience w/Medifast. I joined in 2010 to lose weight for my 20 yr reunion. I…read morepaid $1400 + for a long term contract which was communicated to be a year+. At no time did they mention, nor was it clear in the contract, that if I didn't reach my goal weight I would be required to pay an additional weekly fee. After my reunion they tried to tell me I owed $50.00 a week until I lost the weight. I took them to small claims court and won. They were wonderful for the first four months and why they did that is very disappointing. I lost 30 lbs and in court their rep tried to say that I failed because I was binging. I'm pretty sure you can not be that successful if you are binging. In court, their representative tried to tell me I was welcome back at any time without charge for the "maintenance phase." Strangely, they never mentioned this prior to taking legal action. I'm a life time member w/Jenny Craig and they've never pulled this.
