The kids really enjoyed being able to decorate their cupcakes and the quickly eat them afterwards. We technically didn't even need to bring any cupcakes but we did for the adults. The really cool part was the at home baking to seal the kids artistic creations on their mugs. A very cool twist to painting that I haven't seen before! This made it much easier to let everyone take their items immediately instead of us collecting and sharing with families after the event.

The staff were courteous and enthusiastic during the planning process, and prompt but not intrusive in reminding me about various deadlines. The day of the event, our designated model evidently called in. I was crushed, but the representative who contacted me said that if we could rearrange our schedule by an hour, they could get a backup from Dallas. Although it was a speed bump, I was impressed that they didn't give up on delivering the experience we ordered, and that they had a strong enough relationship with their models that one was willing to drive 4 hours for us. (Even if the company paid him extra, that's no joke!) They also granted a small discount for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. The lesson itself was surprisingly educational and warm. Our instructor was effective, engaged, and kind, and our model had a great presence and charm. I was worried that it would feel a little degrading, but it didn't for me...in fact, translating a stranger's body into artistic form felt MORE humanizing, not less. And our model was full of smiles and funny quips. It was so much better than throwing money at guys or "making" them buy drinks. Plus the different art exercises we practiced were genuinely thought provoking. Summary: Artful Bachelorette exceeded my expectations, handled a crisis gracefully, and made me the hero of the bachelorette party with an experience we'll talk about for years!
