I told him no, I would not make any commitment to pay him any deposit just because he came to my house to give me an estimate! With such a stellar reputation on Yelp, I am surprised that he initially tried to pressure me and then ghosted me.

He is a great communicator, responsive, dependable, and easy to work with. His crews do a thorough job, keep the work areas clean, and pay attention to the details. Just as importantly, when I refer him to a client, I know they are going to be taken care of and that I won't have to worry about following up or chasing things down. I've worked with plenty of painters over the years, and Tito is someone I know I can count on. I highly recommend Tito Alcaraz Painting to homeowners, real estate agents, and anyone looking for a professional painter they can trust!

I found The Affordable & Licensed Handyman through Yelp because they had great reviews so I was interested to see how much their service fee would be for a simple job when I was looking for a plumber. I needed a license plumber due to home insurance requirement to do this installation or I would've done it myself. They were responsive when I talked to them through Yelp projects. I was shocked with how much I was quoted because it was almost double the price of the automatic shut off valve device I paid for. So I had to confirm that the price that was given to me was just to switch out the bad unit with the new one. They didn't have to do anything else like run new pipes or replace anything else. When I communicated to them that the quote was high, they asked how much did i wanted to pay. I thought they would try to be more reasonable since the name is The Affordable. I give them a range based on the prices from other plumbing company that I reached out to and they couldn't do it which I understand they can set their own prices. Maybe for big projects, they'll give more of a reasonable price which is why they have great reviews on Yelp but just to replace a bad automatic shut off valve with a brand new one, I think it was overprice so I used another plumbing company where they were very reasonable on the price.

My job was doing wall and ceiling patches after a plumbing issue / fix. Some of the holes had acceptable undamaged drywall pieces, but also had holes with none of the original drywall. The wall also had texture, which they aspired to match. I still had my paint so they didn't have to get chips to recreate color. Ricardo showed up early to do his estimate, which I do recommend vs the online process. He indicated his team availability and provided a quote. After going through others who were either a lot more expensive (some had minimum job cost requirements) and some others had other things about timing, price, etc, I proceeded to hire Ricardo Painting. Hugo came early the next day and stayed on schedule with disciplined execution. Didn't try to rush - eg rushing mud to dry, or applying paint coats too early. He really wanted to match the wall texture and did a great job. I will know where the repair was, but only ones trying to find it will actually notice. They said less than 2 days, and it was done. Ricardo will remain in my Rolodex for the future.

So I reached out to Ricardo to see if he could fix the poorly done paint job and rehab the wall. It now looks way better than I imagined. Ricardo was professional, knowledgeable, on time, and very respectful in our home. I would absolutely hire him and his team again for future needs. Please learn from my mistake and don't hire a random painter to do limewash in your home- HIRE RICARDO! I ended up wasting so much money and time with an amateur- Ricardo knows what he's doing and will be honest about limitations (if any at all). He even checked in after he left the job to make sure I was happy once the paint was fully dried - top notch service and quality.
