When I return, they always seem to be glad to see me, but a little reluctant to leave. Kevin and Jeannette are always ready to work with me, for example my dogs love frozen Brussels sprouts. It's not often I get the chance to write a review for a place that truly warms my heart. This is…read moreone of those places and this is one of those reviews. I moved to Saratoga in September with the idea that my dogs would be in Boarding for a couple weeks while we waited for our house to close. Those couple of weeks turned into two months. My four dogs, my babies, needed to live somewhere other than by my side for that time because of my temporary housing. Kevin and Jeanette took care of them as if they were their own. I have two pit bulls, Gracie and Sunny, and 2 senior dogs, Howie the Chihuahua mix and LeRoy the cocker spaniel. They didn't hesitate to take my pit bulls and they were kind enough to allow all of my dogs to stay in the same run. They provided continuous bedding, even when my girls tore up the blankets. They fed them, walked them, and loved them. I knew that my babies were loved when I went to visit and the dogs would go to Kevin or Jeanette for cookies and kisses. I've visited multiple times during the week to walk my dogs out in the woods or on the 40 acres of their ranch. Kevin texted me constantly with updates about their health and behavior. When Leroy got an ear infection or when the pitties were acting out, I heard about it immediately. These folks alleviated some stress from a very trying situation. I cannot express enough how grateful I am that people like Kevin and Jeanette run a kennel like this. I will use Burnt Hills boarding kennel for as long as I live in this area. P.S. I do not work for this business. I am a teacher who moved to this area two months ago and had to call around to all of the kennels in the area to find a place for my dogs.

I don't wish to delete my previous review because I really did have difficulty getting a response from the business, but the owner did eventually contact me. I think it was months later. She seemed very nice. She was very apologetic. She said she never noticed my phone messages or emails. The business was having technical difficulties and she assured me the problem was an aberration. I'm happy to see that the business has a better website and is doing well enough to expand to two locations. Sending my best wishes.

My 7 year-old Maltese, Frederick spent this last year being walked twice a week by several of the staff at HOTH. I receieved gracious notes, he had the opportunity to meet other dogs in the neighborhood, and I was always treated in a caring, professional, and thoughtful manner. Fred also made two stays at the Bed and Biscuit, being cared for round the clock by HOTH staff. I have NEVER boarded my dog, so leaving him with someone outside of family and close friends was a choice I made very carefully. The cost for walks and overnight stays was reasonable and something I could afford living on the very small budget of a graduate student. I always felt wonderful knowing Fred was getting some love and attention during my long days at work. I can't recommend their services enough to coworkers and friends with animals. One of the only reasons I am sad to be leaving the Albany area for a new job in St. Kitts, is not getting to work with Hounds on the Hudson!

I work around the corner in Albany, so it's super easy to drop her off before work and pick her up on my way home. The daycare gang is all dogs under 40lbs at the Albany location, and I can tell my dog has played a ton by how sleepy she is when we get home! The staff is super friendly and kind, and they all take great care of my dog every time she is there. A couple weeks ago, my dog was a little hesitant to get in the mix with the other dogs first thing in the morning, so the guy working picked her up and hung out with her for a little to ease her into the day - so sweet! They have a great backyard so I know my dog is getting some quality outdoors time, too. I love following them on Instagram because they post cute videos of my dog and have taken some adorable glamour shots of my dog. Such a great place, reasonable prices, and confidence that my dog is safe and happy while she is there.
