At this point, I've had to escalate my concerns through state and federal complaint channels…read more I received excellent lupus care at the Georgetown office for years - Jordan is an outstanding provider, and the staff there has always treated me with care and dignity. Unfortunately this does not extend to the Round Rock location, where the rheumatology department has been transferred. Two visits to this office have jeopardized my entire treatment plan. First, they gave me another patient's private paperwork. Then, at my most recent appointment, I was only told after my vitals were taken that the visit would be conducted via telehealth. I had been told I'd be seeing a different PA since Jordan is out, but the provider I was scheduled with -- Jennifer Priestley -- I learned in the after care notes is actually an NP. Jennifer ignored the new symptoms I reported, and after I clearly requested FMLA documentation, she offered to go over the prior month's lab results and said that if I wanted to pursue FMLA, a PT would need to be involved (which isn't strictly true). When I became tearful at this, Jennifer asked if I was "seeing a therapist." I immediately walked out of the appointment because I didn't feel safe with her as a provider. After I left the appointment, Jennifer submitted a behavioral health referral. The medical notes I'm able to download inaccurately state that I consented to telehealth, that I "understood and agreed" to a treatment plan that doesn't exist, and that I consented to a therapy referral that was never discussed. They also claim the appointment lasted more than twice as long as it did, while omitting my new symptoms and my FMLA request. These inaccuracies were signed off by Dr. Pegram, making them part of my permanent medical record. My messages asking for clarification are being ignored and I'm now being treated as hostile simply for trying to protect my care. I'm being shut out of a medical practice I trusted, and I'm losing access to treatment for a life-altering disease - because I asked for help while my regular provider was out. Conversations with APC leadership are just as concerning. In discussing this issue with Jody Green, she said that I shouldn't have been scheduled with Jennifer because she doesn't have the same experience Jordan and Nicki have as PAs. The very next day, Jody told me that Nicki is a nurse. When it comes to my medical records, Jody said she sees my FMLA request on their end as well as some additional notes about my symptoms that are not true. When I asked for a copy of my full medical records, including this additional information, Jody said she would need to speak to APC's attorney before she would know if she could. I have yet to hear back from that conversation, as well as from the email I sent to her directly requesting my full medical records in writing, or from the other two emails I sent to the inbox address listed by her photo on the website. I also have 5 portal messages that are all unanswered (despite everyone I speak to saying they can see them). The negative reviews being dismissed on Google are an extension of the poor treatment patients receive at this location. Asking for a phone number publicly is not a real response - patients can't reply to these comments, and no one should be expected to post personal contact information online. It would take very little effort for APC staff to look up patients and reach out directly, or simply respond to portal messages. Patients with complex health conditions deserve safety, medical accuracy, and dignity. Instead, I've been left misrepresented in my records, denied proper care, and placed in a situation where my lupus treatment has ended. This has been one of the most distressing healthcare experiences of my life, and I urge other patients with chronic illnesses to avoid APC.

This practice does NOT CARE about patients - they only care about money. I felt milked for money…read moreat every turn. 1. Dr. Danney would not provide any prescriptions without an office visit + an xray, then a 2nd visit for an MRI. (Meanwhile, I was in pain the whole time.) 2. The office checked with insurance for pre-approval (which was granted), but only for their services, so I now have unexpected bills of $10K+ because the other participants in the surgery apparently do not accept United healthcare. (And this is NOT gov. provided insurance. It's top of the line private insurance.) 3. Post surgery follow up visits ($340 ea.) are NOT included in his surgical fee, so that's another $340 billed for each visit. 4. After being paid on-time, in-full for everything to date, post-surgery I switched jobs / insurance and the office would not work with me as I was getting my new insurance in place. I asked if I could see Dr. Danney and have them submit the insurance claim a few days after a visit, once the insurance records had been updated (which was taking longer due to Covid). Absolutely not! They would not schedule or do any surgical follow up unless I agreed to self-pay in full up front. After that conversation, the office quit trying to do any follow up or schedule any appointments with me (as I assume they were concerned about being paid.) 5. The office visits are very rushed (so they can see/bill as many patients as possible within a given timeframe) and nothing is pro-offered (e.g. I had to ask for arm sleeve to prevent chaffing because my arm was raw since I had to wear a sling for 6 weeks 24x7 post surgery. They wanted to give me one (and this is a VERY low cost item - like a sock). I had to ask for two so that I could wear one while the other was washed). Dr. Danney did not follow up after surgery to see how I was - but his office was able to call multiple times to have me schedule a follow-up appointment (to book additional revenue). I've never experience a doctor who did surgery on anyone who never called to check on the patient within 24 to 48 hours post op. His staff is not reliable. They do not return messages. I left 3 separate messages about rescheduling my surgery - none of which were returned. I called at 12:30 on a Monday urgently requesting pain medication. His nurse, Jessica, did not answer the phone nor did she respond to my vm or call in any medications. I called back a bit later and asked the receptionist to speak with her - she could not and only sent her an email requesting a refill and that the nurse call me - and this too was completely ignored. I tried to call the on call Dr. at 6:15pm, and was told by the answering service that the practice WILL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES respond to after hour requests for pain medication. They flat out refused to contact the on call doctor even though I am in pain, out of meds and can't sleep. Finally, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you use the physical therapy services offered by Dr. Danney's practice. I initially chose to work with them because I figured they must deal with rotator cuff rehab a lot since they were part of the same practice. The therapist I was assigned to was NOT well educated and was not able to make a decision or respond to anything without looking at her computer. i asked to switch therapists, but was told no. What's worse, I am supposed to be having rehab 3x a week, and I was only able to get 2 Physical Therapy appointments over a one month period. This has set my recovery back significantly - increasing my pain and dramatically reducing my flexibility. I am now concerned with my ability to achieve a full recovery. have switched rehab providers and there is a 1000% difference in quality of care. I would not recommend any part of this practice to anyone based on my experiences.

Not to brag but I have a 13 year old son who is an overachiever!! :))…read more He's an overachiever because when he broke a bone for the very 1st time everrrrrrrr, he not only broke 1 bone, he had to go and break 2 bones at the SAME TIME in his dominant hand on 10/14/2019 during football practice!! As a mom I was so worried about my poor kid! Not knowing if surgery would be needed or how long would the healing take, considering he had 2 bones broken his his dominant hand at that! There were just so many unknowns for me because this was the first time any of my kids had broken any bones (knock on wood it's the last time) but right from the beginning we were put at ease by Dr. Hilton Gottschalk & his staff. Not only did we get an appointment that same day for my son to be seen..we had initially taken our son to his primary physician through ARC who then referred us to Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics (CTPO) & once at that appointment Dr. Gottschalk & his awesome PA, Gwen explained everything to my son & us, as parents to ease our nervousness and what to expect. They did have to reset my sons larger wrist fracture in the office before they put a cast on it but throughout the entire process both the doctor and Gwen were great at giving reassurance & really explaining to my son about what was happening so he could get through this process that was painful but was necessary to do. Afterwards my son then picked out the color of his cast & because of the location of one of the fractures he had to have a full arm cast put on to limit movement and give that fracture time to stay in place & hopefully, start to heal the way it needed to & in hopes of avoiding to have surgery..and it worked! Dr. Gottschalk's "let's try this approach first before going the surgery route" was so appreciated! After about 3 or 4 wks passed we had a follow up appointment to check progress of the healing and my son was then able to have the full arm cast removed and replaced with a regular half cast. The CTPO office did also provide us with documentation that was needed for any accommodations needed for my son while at school. Having your child fracture a bone or bones (if they are overachievers like my kid ;) for sure is a very stressful time but knowing that your child is being treated by a care team w/ an awesome physician & nursing staff really helps lessen that stress because it gives me confidence that they are giving my child the best care possible and I can then focus on what I need to do as a parent to support my chIld through this healing process. THANKS SO MUCH Dr. Gottschalk, Gwen, and the rest of the CTPO team for taking such great care of my son and no offense but I hope to never have to see y'all again! ;)) -Rebecca out
