Sadly, I've been here before for the two broken bones I've had in my life which have occurred in the last five years. A tibial plateau fx and a left foot fx-both from falls. I had positive experiences both times. The orthopedic surgeon I had at the Cedar Park location both those times has since retired. This time I was truly disappointed. I was referred to a trauma orthopedic surgeon after a motor vehicle accident in which I broke my ankle, amongst other injuries. The plain x-rays taken in ER didn't show much. In particular on the outer aspect of my left ankle the swelling was Unbelievable. Probably a good 4 inches to 6 inches sticking out from the outer aspect of my ankle. It was so bad it was difficult to get my foot out of area of the car after the crash. I was placed in a boot and given a referral to Texas Orthopedics in Round Rock to follow up. I made the appt. to the Round Rock location approximately five days after the accident with the orthopedic trauma specialist. I arrived and was taken in. The PA that saw me spent no time with me. I had no follow up x-ray. I was advised to continue wearing the boot and return in six weeks. I had never had such a bad injury before. I guess I was looking for a little reassurance that my ankle would heal ....eventually. read more

Wife visited on May 1 at the leander facility. Doctor did not even bother to check her extremely painful left knee issue. PA suspects issue with tibia and a possible fracture, but wanted her to get mri first. Before we left she said she will mail the pain prescription at 2pm over to our local pharmacist. We waited at the pharmacy until 4:30. Called the clinic and PA said she had already sent in the prescription at 2pm. Complete lie. She "resent" after we called her and then pharmacist received it. Day 2. May 2. They were to call us for MRI but no call. We had to call the clinic to remind them. Of course nothing happened and gave some bs excuse. Entire weekend will be gone and we don't even know if they will send the order until next week. From front desk to PA to some assistant it has been a lie and excuses. Do not go to this clinic. Go anywhere for treatment but dontt go here. Until and unless admin investigates this staff, you will suffer. Why should I even pay for PA? Wife is in so much pain. I am 100000% sure that on Monday, May 5, we will have to call again for MRI order reminder. Extremely disappointed. read more

Had a 5th metatarsal fracture and went to an urgent care then set up an appointment here. Front desk was fine but the doctor was rude, blew off my concerns and said I should start walking around without crutches or an aircast which causes me extreme pain and I was concerned it would make the fracture worse. He said it wouldn't which I found to be bizarre and confusing. I asked when I could start exercising or running again.. he had no answer. Horrible horrible place. Do not come here read more

Just received an email from them that their Cedar Park location is closing IN 3 DAYS! Their new office is much farther away, and it would have been considerate to allow patients to be seen at Cedar Park BEFORE the move. Judging by how busy their office has always been, it's obvious it was a convenient location for many of their patients. I have been happy and comfortable with my Texas Ortho doctors, but now have to start looking for others. read more

Overbill insurance, zero follow up communication, attempted to send my account to collections despite making regular payments with receipts. All this for literally a 10 minute office consultation and x rays that they make extremely difficult to get copies of for a second opinion. I'll never visit this place again. read more

Aging sucks. Trigger finger and the beginnings of osteoarthritis; Dr. Hardy and team handled this with aplomb. I went in with a lot of pain and left in amazement at the utter lack of pain. Highly recommend. Not for nothing, excellent and caring staff with a quick in and speedy exit. read more

Doctors are ok. I highly recommend checking and rechecking your bill. Spoke with billing, They told me they need to be trained better. If I would of believed them that they would of taken care of their mistake, it would of gone on my credit. Terrible office management. read more

Sometimes a bit of a wait. Courteous and open on process, easily discuss details and options. MRI Staff is awesome makes an uncomfortable process smooth and less intimidating. Pro tip, building workers put down Masonite panels on the floor as protection during work. These can be quite slick use care. read more

Because I don't want this to be all negative, I'll start with a highlight because one shining star should be recognized. Monica is one of the kindest, most conscientious staff members in this facility. She has put me at ease and made me feel like someone actually cared whereas other folks in this practice have been cold and disinterested. Outside of Monica, I've never experienced this level of absolute indifference from a medical staff. And whoever answers their phones (she refused to give me her name) is awful; just transferring people without listening to what they're asking is unacceptable. Nurses (Ben in particular) can't be bothered to return phone calls. Patient CARE is obviously not a priority. Dr. Logan has been decent. He explains things pretty well and has a no-nonsense, but kind, demeanor. Overall quite satisfactory. To close... Breaking multiple bones is hard enough already, but my experience with this practice has made it harder. I hope others have a better experience than I have. read more

I found the appointment handlers to be inept disseminating misinformation and rude. Again one wants to provide a negative star rating but there is no "0" Ratings. Following the appointment this office faxed 2 prescriptions from a doctor in the practother than the one I saw for drugs I was never prescribed! Talk about mal-practice! It says the owner of the business tried to discuss the problem with me I called to discuss the problem with them when it happened and was promised a call back after giving them some time into the next week to get into it the fact is they never called me back and we're not interested in doing so they had committed an error and prescribing to the wrong patient to the wrong pharmacy for a doctor that I had not seen and that didn't impress them enough of the time to try to handle it they've had their chance. read more

Dr.'s are phenomenal. Admin run by Admin 101 are all about the dollar. I haven't been allowed too see my rheumatologist because of my bill that was acquired as an uninsured employee. All tests done on sight so aside from minutes in a day and electric bill... I was diagnosed with rheumatoid, at the time Dr. Koval was sure it was polymyositis. My numbers and pain & debilitating symptoms were that high. I got my lab work done in December as instructed by Dr. Koval ma, paying cash since I am uninsured. But I've been denied my medication until I set up a payment and plan I cannot afford. I've gone on to patient portal to pay what I can each month, but, they " Locked it for my safety." So. The oath a doctor takes to cause no harm. The money mongers could give a crap. They are crippling me. So. Again. Dr. Koval is amazing. The politics there are in line with Trumps wall. From a person in pain 24/7 because her meds ate deviled. ( it's free for a doc to click send!) When you can't dress yourself. So. Go anywhere else but here. read more

They're busy I get it. However, I left two messages for Dr Logan's nurse and no return phone call. Asked for pain medication, they said they would give me a limited amount for just the MRI. The pain was so bad, I couldn't complete the MRI. After days of waiting, no pain prescription. Had to reschedule the MRI, no call back. Complete indifference from this practice. Office manager does not do her job. Two occasions, when my arthritis flared up, I called in so many times and was told I'd get a call back, i never did. On next visit, office manager told me she would get an answer for me and call me to let me know what happened, she never did. 2nd occasion, x ray machine broke, if I go to another location to get it done later and come back, I will be charged again. Same office manager told me "we did try to call you to let you know, we left a msg", the last vm I got on my call is a month ago. Doctors there are for patients, but not for this patient. I was there this afternoon. I waited for 25 mins pass my appointment time. doc did not talk to me for 2 mins. None of those staff, including the doctor looked or sounded genuine or friendly. I don't leave bad reviews, but I hate wasting money and time even more. read more

Got to my appointment about 10 minutes early, and still waited in the waiting room for over 30 min (after my actual appointment time) before being called back. Then found out that the person that scheduled my appointment put me with a different doctor in the practice than my original appointment, which apparently is a no-no here. I'm not a patient with this practice. And after 8 phone calls to my home trying to reach their actual patient, I'm so happy I don't ever have to deal with this practice. They continue to call my landline ( which we never use) and leave a message for their patient to call immediately to pre register for surgery. I have spent over 2 hours trying to contact them to tell them to remove my phone number from their records but can never get ahold of a human being on the other end. Their answering machine just keeps running you around in circles. I would steer clear of this practice. Their doctors met be good but they're only good if they're accessible. When I finally got someone to talk to they hung up on me when I said do you mind holding for one second. I tried again and it said they were now clAbsolutely absurd. The ONLY reason I'm giving this 1 star is because Dr. Koval himself SEEMED nice, IN PERSON. Little did I really know..... He seems a little rushed or maybe even bored from answering the same questions from new patients worried about their RA or autoimmune disease, but other than that, friendly enough I suppose. His nurse, Marly, is not helpful at all. And maybe I shouldn't put all the blame on her when she does answer to Dr. Koval, after all. I became a patient of Koval's early of 2018. The first time I met him and staff, I still left a little uncertain of things. He didn't have the best "bedside manner" but I chalked it off to nothing. I am a self pay patient. I invest a lot of money into seeing outstanding doctors WHEN absolutely necessary. I followed through on orders to get lab after lab done. ($$$). We finally found a medication that we would start with. Sadly, that medication didn't settle well with me at all and it landed me in the hospital via EMS in May 2018. I had a severe reaction to it. When I originally called to let Koval's office know, Marly insisted she would speak with Koval and get back with me with some other options. Seemed to care a bit at first. However, weeks went by, call after call, message after message. I finally get a call back after leaving persistent messages that Marly claims she "never got". They had found another medication for me, (Cimzia)....but it was going to be "quite a bit" out of pocket pay. She then talked to me about financial assistance forms that they or the manufacturer would mail to me. I canceled my upcoming appointment that was to be in July 2018 because I was not going to pay for an appointment when there was NOTHING to discuss considering I wasn't on the new medication and I was still waiting for the arrival of the information/assistance forms. My condition has sadly taken a drastic turn for the worse. Flare ups, fevers, debilitating to the point I can't work some days. I've been calling their office relentlessly and leaving message after message. Still to this day I have received NO financial assistance forms OR a simple prescription so I can just pay it out of pocket. I finally did receive a call back September 27th, 2018 from Marly. Again, she and everyone else there are so confused and have no idea why I haven't been contacted back (other than the same excuse that she's not receiving my messages, yet she somehow got the one from last week, thus prompting her to call back). After I informed her that I haven't received forms for new meds, and explained my new conditions from lack of treatment since MAY of 2018, (this has now been 4 months with NO meds) I told her I was willing to try Methatrexate (which I had previously been closed off to). She informed me she would speak with Koval and get back with me Friday since she was calling me at 4:17PM and Koval was already leaving for the day. But insisted she would get answers and hopefully a script sent in for me. Last Friday, September 28th rolls around and NOT to my shock, no phone call or follow up. Here we are Monday, Oct 1, 2018 and nothing after Ive yet again left MORE messages. This office is a JOKE AT BEST and so is their "care". I honestly don't know how they keep patients or ANY satisfactory 5 star reviews. I've never been more put off by a doctor and his practice. Sad but nothing but truthful. **I have my phone records to prove how many times Ive called and how many messages I've left.** Good luck to current patients, future patients, and anyone looking into using this practice/doctor. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND RUNNING THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION FROM THIS PRACTICE. Ps: office staff- don't bother writing the same scripted "we can't comment online due to laws...." I was referred here after an ankle fracture at urgent care to follow up. Let me tell you, good luck getting an appointment. They have dozens of doctors, all whom seem to have zero availability. So, anyhoo... I schedule my appointment, request the time off from work and here I am... literally. I'm notified upon arrival that the doctor is an hour behind!!! Maybe a courtesy call would have been in order? Now I'm hot. They try to come up with a "solution" one of which is driving out to lakeway and the other is to go back to an urgent care!! I wave no words, actually I have several but none are nice. My review is 1 star because I'm sure eventually I'll see the doctor but the service here stinks. Staff was very kind and courteous. I filled out all necessary papers online ahead of getting there. I listed symptoms that seemed to have been overlooked when I actually saw the doctor. While he seemed very knowledgeable and had a great bedside manner. He seemed to have made a diagnosis of my problem before walking in the exam room. I received shot to help with the swelling but my knee still feels like it is out of place and then popping and suddenly feels much better which is the information that was not discussed. I must take some responsibility here as I should have pushed this issue more but in the rush to get me in and out it just didn't happen. read more

The entire staff at Texas Orthopedics were great to work with. Dr. Scott Smith and his staff were awesome! Had pectoral tendon surgery 3 months ago and recovery has been great. The toughest part was having to do a 30 minute MRI facedown. The MRI tech made it a comfortable as possible, can't remember his name but 5 Stars to him too! read more

Dr. Bunch has a wonderful bedside manner and he takes the time to explain everything to you. He is very thorough and his referral for PT/dry needling helped me immensely. I had to have 2 MRI's done within the past 6 months. Each time I had Mark as the MRI tech. I'm claustrophobic and he helped me to feel comfortable and assured me that he was a button click away. I have used a number of doctors in clinic for various issues over the years I have to say I have had nothing but wonderful treatment caring people the staff has always been very awesome I've only had one issue and I'm sure that will be resolved I've had both knees replaced by Dr. Deheart who is the most awesome person they let him get away and go to San Antonio he is the best Doctor that I ever had had they should do anything in this world that they would have to do to get him back because there's no one like him he is awesome he's a wonderful surgeon just a wonderful person and I miss him terribly and as I said that you should do what ever it takes to get him back in their clinic because he made it a better place to be read more

Texas Orthopedics is definitely a five star medical practice . Dr Koval is compassionate , caring and very thorough. Always tough to find a new doctor or specialist but Austin to Denver is too far to commute for medical care . Dr Koval was recommended by my previous doctor and for good reason . Not only was the doctor himself awesome , but the entire staff was awesome as well . The professional manner of the entire staff made for a pleasant experience . Recently tried another ortho group with no success to help with my discomfort and pain. Saw Dr Bunch today and he diagnosed me in 10 minutes and knew exactly what we needed to treat and how. Had previously tried another group in Austin and they could not seem to help me with any pain relief or treatment. Texas Otrho is on top of it and knows exactly what the right steps for treatment is. Would recommend this group to anyone with ortho issues!!! read more

Experience with the doctor and his staff, nothing less than exemplary. With the scheduling team for rehab, not so lucky. Had an appt scheduled, emergency came up and had to cancel last minute; a new time was not rescheduled at that moment. Wrote on portal attempting to reschedule, no response. Left voice mail and got no response either. Called in today attempting to schedule and see what this issue was regarding the lack of responsiveness and surprisingly told I rescheduled myself the day I canceled the original appointment. This was not possible since I didn't make the call to cancel nor did my wife schedule without speaking with me first. In addition to essentially being told I'm either lying or have no idea what's going on in my world enough to know what I've done or not done, the staff member spoken with today (Summer) tops everything with an attititude, interrupting me and telling me not to interrupt her! I asked to speak with her superviser and was forwarded to a voicemail, left message. Truthfully, there's nothing further to add to her manager or anyone else at this office. The problem is likely not isolated but thematic. No problem - It must be nice to have so much business that a 20-something answering your phone can erase everything good about your operation in less than 30 seconds. I absolutely would not recommend Texas Ortho to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I was in a car accident and ended up with a shoulder injury. I saw 3 doctors at T.O. Not one of them could diagnose the issue. They sent me to Physical Therapy over and over again. I did have a great PT at T.O. She did a test and said what she thought the problem was so she sent me to their shoulder specialist. Dr. Loeb looked at my MRI and sent me back to PT. I gave up, the pain from PT was unbearable and I was having to take Prescription drugs to just get through the day after PT. I finally left T.O. and went to a Shoulder specialist in Austin, that a friend recommended. He was able to identify the issue and did surgery to repair exactly what the PT said it was, however since it went undiagnosed and was being treated wrong the damage was worse than it should have been. I paid 10's of 1000's out of pocket and no one seemed to care at all, they were happy to continue writing Rx's but not get to the bottom of the issue. Then I had a balance of 667.00 that I offered to pay, they instructed me that it was ok to pay after the case settled. They ended up filing with collections and Now I have to deal with that even though they have been paid in full! Way to Go T.O. Couldn't pay me to go back there! Ever! read more

I have had mixed results with the doctors here. I saw Dr Bunch for a back problem and he was able to help me with it right away. While the problem is still here(it's a genetic thing and I will always have it) I learned some ways to alleviate it so I don't always need a steroid injection. I would return to Dr Bunch without hesitation. However I returned to see another doctor for shoulder pain. I tried to request Dr Bunch but he is only a spine specialist. The doctor I saw was not of the same quality in my opinion. His nurse told me I had to go to X-ray first and she tossed a gown on the table with no instructions. I put it on as best I could with shoulder issues and when the X-ray tech came, she let me know it was wrong. I explained it was the best I could do with no instruction..Then when I returned from X-ray I saw the dr who within five minutes of meeting me diagnosed something totally different from my family dr and my PT. I felt like he saw an older woman and just defaulted to a diagnosis that was a standard without taking any more time than he had to. He told me I would need hard, aggressive PT and I explained I was already going. He as not interested then since I would not be going to their PT clinic. When I told my PT about this visit, she said that she disagreed with the diagnosis and hard, aggressive PT would only further aggravate my condition. I do not think I will return for any follow up visits for my shoulder after the cold, impersonal way I was treated. It's sad since I had such a positive view of the clinic the first time I went. read more

I've seen both Dr. Bunch for my back issues and Dr. Bergin for one of my knees. They have both done injections and they both alleviated my pain completely (for s while.) My complaint is this: Dr Bunch did a nerve block to give me some relief from coccydogynia around a year ago. After suffering so much for the past month I decided to call and make an appointment for another injection/nerve block. The appointment scheduler knew what kind of procedure I needed because she read it back to me to confirm. So I get to their Cedar Park office, wait an hour to see Dr. Bunch (who I never actually saw though, I saw his PA, Angel and she is nothing short of fantastic.) When she came into the exam room i think she thought I was there for pain meds. I told her that I didn't want pain meds but that I was there to get an injection. She then said "Oh I'm sorry, we don't do those injections here. Those are done out of our surgical center." So I asked her why the appointment scheduler made me the appointment at the Cedar Park location if they don't even do those specific procedures there ?!! So she said, "I think you need a pain doctor to manage your pain." I said "I don't want to be on pain meds. I want this injection that takes all of 5 minutes to do but that gave me relief for over a year!" There really wasn't anything else for her to say other than to give me the name of a pain management clinic, which she handed me along with my green check out slip and said I needed to check out at the front desk. UM, what??? Even though I had to take almost two hours off of work and wait an hour to see someone, only for the privilege of them saying "Sorry we don't do those here." I had to PAY for it too??? This was their fault not mine. And saying "The appointment scheduler doesn't really know what I injections are done at each location" doesn't hold water with me. Isn't the scheduler the EXACT person who should have this information?? Btw, I would have given this 1 star, but Dr. Bunch's PA Angel is amazing. She's attentive, she listens, etc. Unfortunately she can't fix the incompetence of the appointment scheduler. read more

WOW sit for an hour in the room, grumpy person comes into the room to say 'xRay time,' problem - I never saw a doctor; first visit and not so much as a handshake or the initial 'what's up' nope that's left to the admin that takes you to the room; not a doctor, LVN, RN or PA. When you first walk in you're met by cranky front desk people that know their jobs are going away to computers, then a wanna-be laptop sponsored by a really funky company with a really clumsy interface and too many full screen commercials; I finally handed the back device to the grumpy front desk. I was brought into the room by your basic admin 15 minutes late, not bad, then on the hour late mark a cranky tech comes in and announces the x-ray. Needless to say I walked, called my bank right away and had the charge reversed based on 'services not rendered,' then off with the insurance company to file a compliant against the practice as a whole based on comments by the scheduler behind the desk on why we were leaving, her response was "we have three doctors in the office today, xray is backed up." So their business practice is to have the patient wait, get an x-ray and then see a doctor, which means billing for that which might not be required; not streamlined processes, a billable hours situation and the practice and Business Manager should be ashamed. So if you are looking for a practice that thinks a wait time of an hour is okay before you have an xray that might not be needed, which of course leads to the processing time after that, then the doctor review - basically a 2hr wait, then this is your place because some of us have better things to do with our time. Shame on the office manager and the processes they have in place; I felt better knowing that mine was not the only complaint against this practice as they head into renegotiations for this carrier. And Leslie B, don't bother reaching out - your copy and paste lip service responses to other complaints speaks to everything I have stated here that is wrong with the practice - all talk zero action or improvement.
