I think they fell down mostly on the marinara. It honestly didn't taste homemade. The highlight of the night was the shrimp appetizer in a bread bowl with creamy scampi sauce. They were all good, but a bit undersized even for small plates. The steak was really good, but literally two bites. The taleggio cheese was probably the best. My pasta dish with chicken was good, but nothing to write home about. Very savory. Old-fashioned was good, but really did not taste the seasonal special tastes. The wine pours were underwhelming. Honestly, everything was good, but nothing was great. And I expected a bit more for the price paid. Service was decent.

Nice local pizzeria…read more Was in the area and decided upon here for dinner. From the outside, it looks like a converted house - but most businesses in the area look the same. Inside was spacious enough to where they were having a birthday celebration in progress on one side, leaving all the tables for other patrons on the other side. The menu selection was decent, but I already had my mind set on garlic bread and the bacon chicken ranch pie - both since it has been a little while since I last had it and because I knew I'd be having the rest of it the next day for lunch. The pie was tasty - so tasty that I forgot to take the picture BEFORE I removed a slice. The garlic bread was okay - I've had better but I've also had worse. Garlic bread is often made differently at establishments and it's a taste and choice for preference. The rest of the pie I didn't finish taster just as good the next day when heated up. Really, if I ever go back I do plan to grab this one again. Staff was very nice. Waitress was friendly. I got to talking to one of the owners and it turns out they were from Brooklyn NY. So any doubt about the quality here should automatically be put to rest. Had I known about it previously, I'd have taken a regular slice too. Owners were friendly and welcoming. I've been in their old neighborhood, so we had a nice conversation about the general area. There is no lot, so parking is street. All in all a nice place and a good option for the area. Good for locals who want a more authentic choice for Italian food and of course pizza/ I'd easily return here if I'm in the general area again.
