I am not here for golfing but for the nice food the club opens only for members, I was invited by a friend to have chance dine in here. One benefit to dine in the golf club is definitely the view, no matter which season you come in, you are guaranteed for beautiful scenery. Also because it's members only, it becomes the best choice during COVID 19 season. You can be away from the crowd also enjoy the nice food at same time. Food choices you can have nice pizza and also yummy sandwiches, plus a cup of coffee to enjoy the sunny afternoon, nothing can be better! read more

Haven't been here for a couple of years as it's a bit further from home than other driving range. Friend wanted to go smack some balls so decided to join. We came early evening and it was pretty empty. If it was at the other place I usually go, it would be packed and I may have to wait. We were glad we didn't have to wait. We chose upstairs and there was only 5 other people up there. The mat has lines to show the arc of the swing and the cross where you would be in the center of the mat. This gives you some perspective as to how far you stand from the ball. It helps a lot as I was able to hit straighter than normal. Maybe it's a placebo effect, who knows. The facility is clean, very bright and quiet. Sometimes you get loud people but not here. The staff is friendly. I haven't asked for guidance or more info about items so I can't say anything about their knowledge. I can only assume they are knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to use the driving range. Should I decide to actually do a full round of golf, I'll update. read more

*sigh* Oh golf! What better way to spend a sunny, late afternoon or early evening than at the driving range, hitting balls without the consequence of them going into the trees or some water hazard? I love it here - it's usually quiet, it's green and it's owned and operated by the Musqueam Band along with Gino Odjick. The range and course has memberships that give you a reduced price on rounds and lower prices on buckets of balls. Bonus - you get the $30 (ish) fee back in balls or a green fee, so you can't really loose. Unless you're me, and you haven't been for quite a long time and the loosing comes in missing the ball while swinging, hooking it or feeling like you're about to smack the back of your head with your driver. read more

The driving range facilities are fine and they have an inviting non-intimidating feel to them. The problem is that the range balls are used far too long. Today, I counted 10 balls out of 60 that I would consider good quality range balls. The rest should have been taken out of service some time ago. It's great to hit a few balls on the range. Still like this place better than any other range in Richmond or Vancouver. If you come at the right time, it's nice and quiet and peacefull. The sound of the driver as it strikes the ball down 300 yards or more. Only one other sound is more peacefull to me. That is the sound of water lapping on the side of the hull of the sailboat on a warm summers night, and gazing up at the stars. Come here in the winter, it's quiet and you can get your practice time in. Can't wait till next years season to start!! read more

I learned to play golf at a young age, and did get somewhat serious when I was 19 to 21. Dumb young male golf, as I would smash my 3 iron and 3 wood. I seemed to naturally have some distance and could usually beat my drinking buddies, and that was good enough for me. Perhaps my range sessions were more like baseball batting practice than golf really. I stopped playing, due to life circumstances, but I wanted to get Golfing again this summer; golfing for the love of golf. After a decade(s) or so off, I felt this would be a daunting task, and during the past 4 months, I have had to work quite hard. However, I was very fortunate to get some great instruction from Andrew Wintraub who is a Pro at Musqueam Golf. The clear and precise suggestions of Andrew's were absolutely spot on for me. There is no 'fat' in his teaching. There is no pontification on angles and transitions for the mere sake of such. Andrew is an intuitive teacher, and he has a great knack for delivering sound, clear direction to help the particular individual he is working with become a better golfer. Andrew is a gifted golfer, but he can also teach, and this isn't a given for all great golfers. Andrew is also a very friendly and approachable fellow too. I have my length back in my irons, and my short game is better than ever before. I am also driving the ball and starting to shape these shots. Before I worked with Andrew, my driver was very much a thing of great beauty, or a serious threat to other's lives... I will be playing this course quite a bit over the next few months; working with Andrew Wintraub right on the course for more learning and guidance. I am a very ambitious player, and will be heading out to Fraserview, and have friends who are members at Marine Drive, Shaughnessy, and Quilchena... but Musqueam will always be my home turf. read more

This review is for the DR only. It's a classy place where everyone is quite serious about their golf. So much so, that sometimes, I'm just too embarrassed to go here when I don't look my absolute best and when I know that I'm not exactly great, but that's another story. :) Everyone is always dressed to the nines, too, but at least one doesn't see someone wearing flip flops or a sundress, here. I mean, this is where serious or (just serious, fashion-minded) golfers go to practice! The instructors here seem pretty fantastic, too. In fact, I certainly need some lessons. I have happily golfed at Musqueam for at least the past seven years. From wadding through ankle high muck, to dodging flocks of pissed off Canada Geese while losing buckets of balls in the trees, swamp, river, and the ROUGH. I have spent a lot of time and money out here on the shores of the mighty Fraser. But this afternoon, I had a zero star, WAY over par experience. We were paired up with two of the meanest old bags I have ever encountered. Getting a smile or even a comment out of them proved impossible. They were just plain miserable! (despite being really good golfers) On the fourth hole I teed off wide right, two fairways over, much to the dismay of our snarling partners. I happily wandered off in search of my ball with a smile as I now had a couple minutes of breathing time away from the dungeon slugs. Yay. Unfortunately I landed on the fairway of their twins. "You are on our fairway" one hissed. "You are going the wrong way" jabbed the other. What the hell? Since when did the golfers at Musqueam get so hoity toity? We are golfing in a swamp! Fortunately, our snarky partners saw their chance to ditch us at this point and promptly teed off at the fifth. Once the attitude left, my smiling partner and I pared most of the next five holes. We had to leave at the ninth because of a log jam of crusty old golfers. The negative vibes pitched around today really left me with a sandy taste in my mouth. I will give you another chance Musqueam, but only because you are one of the cheapest courses in town. FOUR! read more

Have only used the driving range twice...and getting some lessons from one of the Pro's...

There are fans to this little executive course, and I don't want to take anything away from their reviews, but I believe experienced golfers will find this place average at best. So, let me just say I was really underwhelmed by this course, and thought the driving range was the worst one I have ever been to. Driving Range: The balls are overused and of the lowest quality. The matts to hit from are also probably the lowest quality you can find, (if in fact you think hitting off of matts is even remotely good to practice a golf swing). The matts are placed in a plastic grid container with rubber foamed matts that have been around for some time now. Worn out rugs, which slip around, and have warped hitting surfaces. Really not a great practice setup. Course: The course was a mix of ultra short par 4s, (can drive most greens), and par 3s of varying difficulty. This was fairly fun. Fairways are unclipped, so hitting wedges from the fairways has almost no chance for even moderately good golfers to shape shots to the green. Greens were not unreasonable, although when I played they were harder, and balls needed to really be spun for them to hold the green. Putts all rolled true and most greens were in good condition. Misc: The staff were nice, and the marshals were accommodating. The bar, and food vend seemed inviting. Pace of Play was fairly poor, and errant shots fell like hail all around us, as the course was tight with mostly amateur players who neither called, nor cared to call FORE. For the price of 43 bucks, and also 5.50 for a bucket of balls at the range, the UBC campus course (1st twilight) would be the better choice for just a bit more money. So, for more experienced golfers, I'd say 2, but as mentioned if you are starting golf, this could be a 3 - 3.5 as it is rated! read more

I have to say, this is a great training course if you're just graduating from driving range pro to 18-hole rookie. The holes are fairly straight away with a few holes with hazards. It also has a decent range for warmup and instruction. I know I could have hit a bucket before hitting the course :) The pace and atmosphere were pretty good. Lots of patience, smiles, and ball spotting for shot shankers (like myself). It does a lot to take some of the edge off as playing your first 18 can be pretty intimidating. Great city course and great for beginner golfers looking to hit 18. read more

Before you read any further - This review is limited SOLEY to their Mini Golf course. The good parts: It was not crowded on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and it took us no time to get through the course. The bad parts: It took us no time to get through the course. I'm not entirely sure if their mini golf course is meant for people to actually "mini golf" or, rather just as a putting practice field for people intending to play a round. It was, perhaps, the most boring mini golf round I've ever played in my life. Ever. There were no real obstacles, and many of the holes were essentially the exact same. The place was also very poorly maintained - rocks half plugging holes, and I nothing to stop your ball from rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE and onto the next green! It only cost $5, so that was a plus, but frankly next time I'd save my money and go elsewhere. read more

I got the low down on this course from the "Grand Pobah" Crystal H... I have played it 3 times now and enjoy it. I usually go after 5pm it only costs $24 dollah, the twilight rate....It has a nice mix of par3s and par4s. Just right 4 the beginers and casual duffers. I enjoy going to the driving range to practice my golf swing. I like this place because it is an outdoor driving range but with a cover over your head. I normally like to go to the second floor. The price for a bucket of golf balls with renting a driver is definitely very cheap price compared to the driving range I normally go to in Toronto. I would definitely continue to come back to this place next time I am in Vancouver. read more

Have patronized this establishment for over 8 years because their driving range is fairly decent and ample stalls to practice on. Their prices for balls is reasonable as well. The golf course I don't play so often mostly because of the poor drainage issues on rainy days and in the winter...and the overall condition of its fairways and greens are ok..also the 18th hole is a par 3...a 220 yard par 3 from the tips which is too long for the average player...even from the whites its 200 yards...should be a par 4 instead......this course could use a much needed renovation.. read more
