Greetings. I am leaving a review to straighten up the facts on a previous review. I am doing do so as it is clear this is a act of sabotage towards this company. I am one of the owners of the venue where "Kacy S." got married and I want to write on behalf of these guys at MusicMaster DJs. They are preferred vendors of mine and have been for nearly 15 years. They will continue to be and here is among the many reasons: They are very professional, responsible, timely, flexible and friendly. As a venue operator, all of those qualities are very hard to find and I am grateful I can confidently recommend them! I have the advantage of watching all the events here at the property and the following is the accurate account of the event. If you are a reality show fan, you'll like this one. It's a doosey! Kacy (the bride) and her friends arrived at our facility intoxicated. We give use of the facility for the weekend. They drank all night. They got up the next morning (wedding day) and started drinking alcohol before 10am. By the time the ceremony got started at (or around) 6:00pm, the bride was very inebriated. I really don't know how she managed to stand up and make it through the ceremony. But, she did. At the reception, the DJ was doing a fine job. Guests were dancing and enjoying themselves. The bride would let a minute or two of a song play and then made the DJ change the song. Most of the time DJs we see here either mix songs or they let the entire song play, especially when people are dancing. And, they were dancing! I noticed something was unusual so I went and asked the DJ what she was saying to him after every song. He said she wanted him to stop it and play another song. The videographer and I, both, thought it was bizarre but, the bottom line is, the DJ was trying to accommodate the bride's wishes. If she would have left him alone, he had complete control of the party and people loved it. She fell down many times throughout the night on account of being drunk. Things turned really bad when I overheard her tell the DJ she was "going to shoot him." Yes, that's exactly what she said! I couldn't believe what I heard!!. The DJ asked her, "what did you say?" She repeated it. This happened less than 30 minutes before the reception was to end. She wanted to stay longer which is further evidence guests were having a good time. I made them wrap up the event and leave. At this point, I was concerned for everyone's safety. Not only was I concerned for the DJ who had to endure her antics all night but, I was concerned for my staff, the guests, everyone! I have been in the business a long time and have never witnessed such an unruly bride. The guests were fine for the most part. There was nothing unusual about the guests. They were having fun, eating, drinking and dancing as you would see at a ordinary reception. But, the bride was certainly out of control and I would not allow them to stay longer. No questions asked. They were not happy about it but, hopefully you can understand the reason we made them wrap it up on time. As for the video, I asked the owner of the company about it when I saw him last. Andrew Byrd is the owner. I know they do great work as I have seen some videos. He agreed it took longer than usual to deliver the video because it was difficult for the video editor to make a good video out of it since the bride was drunk all night. Figures! And, I think that is understandable since I witnessed the evening. I imagine if they did not work around that, she would have been unhappy. It's hard to make people like that happy. I know Andrew and his staff care about their clients and the business. They've been around a long time, longer than most companies. I believe their desire to provide the best entertainment, attention to detail, and customer service must be part of the reason they have been around a long time. I wanted to share the side of the story untold as it may cost these guys business and that is not fair. Kacy, the bride, did not tell the truth in this review. Not a bit. And, she conveniently forgot to mention the things I personally witnessed and wrote about. Of course, she was drunk the entire time so she would not be able to remember. And, to top it off, she embellished the story. They do a great job! They are very consistent and I WILL continue to recommend them. If you are considering doing business with them, take it from me, there is no reason not to hire them. Make an appointment to meet with them in person. Online reviews are only as good as the integrity of the reviews. So, I must help keep things fair! I am the "mutual friend" of Rachel P., who left a bad review, and I feel really bad for the people at MusicMASTERS DJs. They unfairly received a bad review. All the facts are not represented in the review and the one-sided, inaccurate point-of-view, is intentionally spiteful. I know Andrew Byrd and have known him for a long time, more than 20 years. I am also very familiar with the wedding business. Andrew was out of the country to Emcee an event in Mexico for Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola is a long-term client of his and it is not uncommon for him to travel. That should not cause any worry. Actually, the fact Coca-Cola is one of his clients should reinforce much of what I am going to share. His business spans over several states and Andrew has staff to communicate effectively any time he is not available. I have witnessed him tell clients to call anytime, day or night, if they ever need to. He is a very sincere, sweet and honest person and I have recommended people to do business with him for a long, long time and I will still do so! In fact, I have recommended several brides to him since this matter came about. I have had a chance to review the details and would like to correct the statements she (Rachel) made. This situation bothered Andrew as it was completely unnecessary but, Rachel totally freaked out for no reason, she shutdown and would not answer his calls. That is what caused the complications. Andrew's companies & staff provide services for many weddings and events and they have procedures in place for every scenario imaginable. It seems as though the bride, Rachel, did not read the contract and that is the reason the situation started to get out of control. Rachel missed the deadline to send the payment according to the terms of the contract (which are pretty basic really) and the company was still going to honor the contract, without question and without fail. Customer service is a big deal to them! But, this requires communication on the part of the client also. While Andrew was out of town, his staff members were emailing Rachel, a number of times, trying to communicate with her and she did not respond to any of the emails they sent. Meanwhile, she was trying to communicate with him via phone and could not as he was out of the country. It would stand to reason, as long as his staff members are getting the job done, he would not need to respond immediately. In fact, the emails stated that he was currently out of the country and they were trying to get all the details finalized so that he could connect with her directly when he returned. Furthermore, according to the email dates, this communication happened weeks before the wedding. The email address was accurate and the same email address Andrew had been using to communicate with her prior to his leaving for a few days. So, it was clear she was ignoring the emails for some reason. There were no bounce-backs or other errors regarding the emails. In all the years Andrew Byrd has been in business, I can tell you there has never been a time he or any of his staff have missed an event. That is a stellar record considering they have been involved with over 4,000 weddings. As a side note, even though the cancellation policy requires payment in full when a client cancels just days before a wedding, he did not enforce the policy. That will tell you something about his integrity. He would not want to get in a "contest" online to try to clear up the facts but, I think it is important to do so since I am very familiar with the situation and because it is likely people may not contact MusicMASTER DJs as a result of seeing something like that review. Consider what I have said here. They are very much a professional organization and, if it tells you anything, Rachel is not married any longer. If you meet Andrew, you will know he is genuine. I highly recommend doing so! And, as I wrote above, I STILL RECOMMEND him and his business to everyone I know. He is a great guy, a very ethical business person and has the best people working with his organization. read more

WOW! I saw the other reviews given for this company and I find it hard to believe the negativity! This is not at all my experience. I bet there is much more to the story that is not told on Yelp but, unfortunately, social media and online reviews are not a great outlet for that it seems. Anyway, on with my review! This company has been around since 1984. That is a long time. My first thought before I met with them is they must be doing something right! There are not many companies in Atlanta and North Georgia that have been around for 30 years. Or more! It turns out, they do weddings all over Georgia. My wedding was in Athens and they did not charge travel or anything. It was 100% evident when we met with Music Master DJs, their professionalism was spot on. We did not feel they were "selling" anything to us. We met several staff members while we were at the office but, we spent all of our time meeting with Andrew Byrd in his office. I got a great feeling from Andrew. Actually, my husband and I both got a great feeling! It seemed perfect. I also had a easy feeling as they have numerous awards, plagues and accolades on the walls so it is clear the company is legit, there is no salesmanship or false information and we can confirm that since we are customers also. We read a ton of reviews they provided for us and, from what their other brides and even long-time customers said, we could tell it was going to be awesome! You should know they have several companies and MusicMaster DJs is only one of the companies providing wedding services. We decided to use MusicMASTER DJs for our DJ & Emcee (who was awesome by the way and not over the top!), videographer and officiant needs. I am so very glad I did! The ceremony was meaningful and perfect for us, the DJ was great and was an awesome MC also and the video memories afterwards took us down memory lane of how much fun we had on our wedding day! A note about video; we were not sure we wanted video but, we decided on it and we have watched the video more than we have looked at our pictures! They have employees who shoot the video, edit it and they gave us 3 copies for no charge! Oh, and they also gave us a copyright release so we can make additional copies at our leisure without further permission. That was promised to us and we thought that was awesome. They were very professional from the first day until the last, and understanding of all of my requests.. The day of the wedding, Andrew and his team were professionally dressed and on time. Early, as promised! I forgot to mention this! Andrew was our officiant and was great!!!! He matched our personalities perfectly. We invited 175 friends and family members to our wedding ceremony & reception and, I kid you not, most of them told me how awesome the ceremony was! I HIGHLY recommend this company and have already recommended to several friends who are getting married and they are using Music Master Djs also. If you are online and reading these reviews, I highly suggest meeting with them! You will see what I mean. The are great people and, if anything, Andrew very much runs his companies with a under-promise, over-deliver attitude! They did a fantastic job at my wedding, and I could not be more satisfied and so very happy with their business. They made our day! Thanks again for everything!! read more

I just want to take a minute and brag out some awesome people. My fiancé and I met with Andrew Byrd and MusicMaster because we were referred to him. We were looking for several wedding services and a couple of friends and other wedding vendors suggested we call him and meet with him. We are so glad we did! He saved us a ton of money! As it turns out, he has several companies all tied together. We booked a package with his companies called the "Ultimate Wedding Package" (I think that's what it was called - my wedding was last year) and had a DJ for our wedding reception and ceremony music plus, a photographer, a videographer, an officiant for the ceremony and a limousine ALL FOR LESS THAN $5,000! I could not believe it! It was awesome and Andrew and his staff were a great bunch of folks to work with. Andrew is a ordained minister! Who knew? LOL As it turns out, we were having trouble finding an officiant who would let us be us. They all wanted to do it "their way." We wanted an officiant who would let us create a ceremony that was meaningful to us and Andrew was very flexible about that as our Officiant. Matt was our photographer. Jason was our videographer and Barry was our DJ & Emcee. I can't remember the name of the limousine driver but he introduced himself to us. All I remember is he was friendly, dressed professionally and took us from the reception to the hotel. I can't say enough good about this company! They are heroes to us! They provided several services we needed, were professional and super friendly! It really seemed like we had been friends for years! I will absolutely recommend them to anyone I know! Yelp. Oh my. I thought Yelp was only an app to rate restaurants. I guess not. I am writing a review here for these guys because obviously someone is setting them up or there are jealous folks out there or, if they are real, they must have been bridezillas! The reason I say that is, to this date, my family has hired Andrew Byrd and some of the other DJs that work for his company, MusicMaster DJs, for 4 weddings and 1 wedding anniversary. We have worked with Andrew, Kenny, Barry and Steven. We can always trust their judgement on which DJ we need based on availability. Our relationship with Andrew Byrd and our family started in the late 1990s and we still recommend him and his companies to everyone we know! His business has grown tremendously over the years and he has more staff and more options to offer and to help customers with their needs than ever before. That should tell you something! My family has hired them 5 times and we still recommend them! We absolutely love them! The questionable and highly suspect few negative reviews on here don't even add up. If there is anything to it, they're clearly embellished. It is completely our of character for what I know about Andrew Byrd. He is a very consistent person and runs his companies in the same manner. There is nothing about some of those reviews that resembles Andrew's character at all. If you meet him, you will know that immediately. They are great DJs and Emcees and I have some experience with their photography and videography staff also and they are all awesome people and true professionals. I was recommended to MusicMASTER DJs and Andrew Byrd from a DJ friend of mine. My DJ friend was not available for my wedding and I wanted to make sure I had the best I could have and he recommended I call Andrew. I knew I could trust my friend and he has known Andrew Byrd since the mid 1990s. So, I met with Andrew and knew immediately he could help us! We signed a contract and are very thrilled with the service we received! Our wedding was last May. I am thankful that I know 2 DJs now but, it's kinda hard to choose between the two. My friend is great (and I am loyal) and Andrew's guy was great! The edge is that Andrew has some 15 or so DJs that work for his company so that is nice because if any emergency were to pop up, it would not be a disaster because Andrew's company has personnel to cover in any situation. Anyway, I digressed a little, they did a great job and I wanted to publicly recommend them! I am a wedding planner in North Carolina and I am very particular. So, I reached out to a friend of mine who is a well-known wedding planner in Georgia and she told me she uses MusicMaster DJs exclusively. I was surprised when she said "exclusively" as there must be hundreds of DJs in Georgia and in the Atlanta area. She said there are a bunch of DJs but, she "has had nightmare scenarios with many, a few are great and there are none as consistent as the staff at MusicMaster DJs and I should call Andrew Byrd right away." That was the exact quote. So, I called right away! I am very excited to share, she was right! They are so good, I wish I could recommend them to my clients in North Carolina but, that is not practical for where I live. Suffice to say, they are every bit as professional as promised and in every way. I could not meet with them in person and had to book the services sight unseen. I am thankful for the referral. I hired MUSICMASTER DJS for my wedding and they're an awesome group. My wedding was June 2015 and the DJ was Andrew Byrd and he is very friendly, organized and knowledgeable. He knows the wedding business very well, it's clear! I am picky about music but he knew exactly how to make the party happen. The price was competitive and included the equipment, MC duties and he was early to set up before the reception. He set the tone of the evening and we are very pleased with our entire experience working with Andrew. I have already referred him and his company to a couple of friends getting married. Some other friends who attended the wedding said they will be calling him in the future also. So, he's getting a bunch of business from my circle of friends! Plus, when we hit a big milestone, we will probably throw a party and will definitely call MUSICMASTER DJS again! read more

Heard about these guys from several vendors. I figured if they are recommended by other vendors, that was good enough for me! I met with Andrew. He said many people don't like to meet in person these days. What? It was a must for me and I recommend meeting with them. Their office is convenient, not far off I-85. Andrew Byrd is the owner and handles most of the meetings. He's great. Very thorough and professional! Barry was the DJ assigned for our wedding! He is also the Entertainment Coordinator for the company. He is a total professional and great Emcee also. Everyone danced and had a great time all night. Even the blue hairs! I couldn't believe it! The attention to detail Andrew Byrd promised of his company and staff was exactly as promised. I will recommend MusicMASTER DJs to everyone I know! Awesome job guys! read more

MusicMaster DJs did a great job for me! I was worried about having a DJ in the first place because I am shy and did not want to be the center of attention anymore than necessary. I met Andrew Byrd and he immediately made me feel comfortable that he and his staff would do exactly as I desired. And he did! The DJ had everyone dancing and everyone had a smile on their face all night long. It was a blast getting to know him. He's a great guy and a real pro in the wedding business. Way to go Andrew! Our wedding was several months ago. Andrew was our Music Master DJ & Emcee and we were blown away. He really is a master of music! Once the dancing started, it did not stop until the limo came to take us away! We did not have to worry about a thing. He took care of all the details and worked harmoniously with all the vendors.
