We're picky music producers and needed someone who the same level of touch and technicality. With TD, you don't have to worry! He has the years, experience, and groove for it all! 3. Reliable, communicative, and supportive. He can easily mesh well with your videographers, coordinators, and team to make sure your entire event goes well. We're very satisfied with the outcomes. He even took awesome photos of us and created a highlight on IG for us to watch after our wedding. We loved seeing our special day from a different perspective. CON: 1. We didn't get the additional musicians TD recommended and regret it. I think others should consider it! Having more than 1 entertainer on the dance floor really heightens the energy. Whether it's an Emcee, Drummer, Saxophonist, etc... you need that extra person as a hype man to keep the night going! +1 if they can dance and help others follow along #flashmob #tiktokdance. 2. Have a back-up plan for emergencies. If someone falls and hurts their heads in the middle of an energetic time, you'd want to know what to do to be respectful of that person while ensuring the rest of the party is still going. I recommend you to talk to your DJ, emcee, coordinators, and event team to align on an emergency plan in case it happens! One of our elders fell and had a bloody experience. Recovering from that was quite an experience, but TD and our emcee friend made it happen!

Prior to the ceremony, there's an online form to fill out that covers every possible base. What kinds of songs, any special details... There's so much there, neatly organized, and I was thankful for it. I'd never have thought about a lot of those! A couple weeks prior, JJ called to verify information and nail it all down so we could all be on the same page. The team is very thorough and I really appreciated all the time and effort Travis and JJ put into making sure we had everything planned out. JJ worked very well with not only us but the entire vendor team. He fit right in with the other vendors who already knew one another from working together so often. He listened to the crowd very well, playing a good variety of music. All of our guests complimented us on our musical selection whether they were younger or older, which says a lot! JJ chose fantastic oldies and classics before getting into the dance tunes (even tossing in a few hair band selections for yours truly). My travel-minded friends doubled over with laughter when JJ playing the National Geographic theme song to announce our honeymoon plans to Antarctica. Overall he did a wonderful job providing all the music to keep the celebration hopping all night! Wow! Travis at Fonix is outstanding…read more These are the guys you want to hire for your DJ work for whatever the event is. We hired Fonix for our wedding back in June and worked with Travis G. He is truly a professional...which is the main reason we went with them. Professional gear, demeanor, website, references...all of that! Dealing with Fonix was a breeze. They have an online system where you can fill out your 'application' and pick out the music and details you want. You can change on the fly and make changes at any point. This made everything very easy for us. We met with the Travis several times and had a final phone call a week before our event to discuss all the details. We chose to include Karaoke at the reception which was no problem for Fonix. They had a huge catalog to choose from the price was excellent. Travis was professionally dressed and did a great job managing the reception. He kept people on the dance floor, kept people at the karaoke station and just helped create a seamless transition from one event to the other. I would recommend these guys to anyone needing a DJ.
