From start to finish, this was hands down one of the easiest moves I've ever had! They were early, extremely polite, professional, and careful with everything. I would hire them again, and recommend them to anyone looking for professional and efficient service. Additionally, Ernestine the owner made this a very easy and transparent experience, which I appreciated since moving is stressful enough. Thank you for helping me get a tough job done!! read more

I used muscles 4 moving for a small quick job, they were fantastic. They were very careful, wrapped everything in blankets. They were especially careful not to scratch my hardwood floors. Highly recommend them! read more

Do Not Use This Company! Their license was suspended April 17, 2023 just found this out today. BEWARE There was negligence in packing the truck after instructions were given about not placing items such as Sewing cabinet / table with electric lift on its side along with any other items with wheels. They failed to secure the electric lift thus shearing right off with the pressure of the furniture item being on its side. Blankets weren't used and my white bed frame was gashed and filled with grease. The fabric was torn on my sewing chair back from improper placement in moving truck. We used Ernestine's company, Muscles for moving to pack our home to move our belongings from California to Arizona. She failed to even call us and wouldn't give us her insurance carrier and still haven't received it. information read more

We need a very heavy sofa moved up two flights of stairs and Muscles for moving did a great job!! Justin & Jose showed up on time and made quick work of the job. Both wore masks and socially distanced. We called Ernestine, the owner, on a Saturday and she was able to schedule the move on Sunday afternoon. read more

I made several calls to the larger companies, some of the smaller ones too, to come to Hidden Valley Lake and pick up the last of my deceased parent's odds and ends in the final clean-up. I was only there for the day and there was still quite a mess to bag and stage in the garage to pick-up. Muscles called me within minutes of my message, but I had already booked a larger service that said they covered the area. The owner of Muscles was really friendly and said to call her if it fell through with the other company. The other company did not show and I called them. They said they left a message that HVL was actually not in their service area. I received no such message and was left back to the drawing board on finding a service. I called Muscles and left a message and was called back within minutes. The owner said that they had time that afternoon and quoted me lower than the large service. They showed up on time, cleared everything out and reported back to me when it was done. I paid through Venmo, note credit cards have a 3% surcharge, that the owner informed me about. I sent the $ on my debit card. Going through the process of finding services like, locksmiths, yard trimming and carpet cleaning is always difficult to find for that location. I have been very lucky in finding great small businesses that will come out, are reliable and willing to work with me remotely. However, it takes work to find them! There is not a whole lot of reviews, so I rely on responsiveness and professionalism when I speak with them. My criteria has yet to steer me wrong! If you live in the HVL area or Santa Rosa, Clearlake, Middletown or surrounding areas, I found a real gem for moving, hauling and clean-up services, that is reliable, offers affordable rates and are very professional. Save time and call them first! read more

We needed some junk (cardboard boxes, bed headboard, bed frame, wooden pallets, etc) removed from our property & tool shed. Jose and Carlos showed up on time & quickly packed up their truck. They were both extremely friendly, professional & reasonably priced. If you need anything moved or removed, we highly recommend this company and these guys. They were AWESOME !!! Thanks again. read more

Lady of her word. Great company ran by a wonderful lady with a strong team. Helped client with his junk removal. Tip: Please contact them and try to book them in advance! as they are extremely popular and their schedule is well booked up. Client said Muscles for Moving was much more affordable compared to other companies in the area. They did well to accommodate my client. Would definitely recommend Ernestine and her Muscle team for future clients and jobs. Another plus to this company is that; even though there was a language barrier, Ernestine did her best to provide superior service. We give Muscles for Moving 6 stars! read more

I was recommended to this company by a friend & they really had a great experience. Well I didn't have one. I called the owner to schedule a time & everything sounded great. Well they showed up at the wrong place & he said I'll be right there. By the time I hug up my husband loaded up the truck & didn't need them. So I called before they got to the right place & said I'm so sorry but I don't need you. He got pissed . She told me that by law I have to pay her men. So I did but 1/2. I never signed anything. She made me feel afraid of being sued. I highly do not recommend this place!! I want my $ back.!! read more

Had the most pleasant experience with this company. The communication was easy. The job was done perfectly on time. I paid a little extra and it was still less then most bigger companies asked and then put me on hold for a couple of days. Ernestine gave me her magnet business card. It's on my fridge and I will definitely be calling her again!! read more

What an outstanding crew and business. We had a short move from Kelseyville to Lakeport with difficult driveways. Crew seems to have good rapport with each other. We will be using them again to move the rest of the family to San Francisco next week. No items damaged. None. read more

We had lots of wood and tules that washed in over the winter. They took away everything we had collected and may come back to get the ones under the deck. Very hard worker and pleasant to deal with. They were quite reasonable! read more

My husband and I reached out to Muscles for Moving to help us dispose of boxes, packing materials, recycling, and compost that we had collected during the process of moving into our new home and the 2019 holidays. We had filled up our entire two-car garage! When we found Muscles for Moving on Yelp, Ernestine was very responsive and helpful. She responded to me within the times that she said she would, with the necessary details and requests to make it easy to book with her and set up logistics. On the day of the appointment, Ernestine was communicative and timely. She and her team arrived right on time, were incredibly professional, respectful, and personable. They had us cracking up! They got started right away after we assessed the sitaution, and they taught us about what they could take and couldn't. We were pleasantly surprised that they could take everything that we needed help with. We had buckets of rocks and old trash cans from the previous owner, and Ernestine's team was able to take them to reuse and recycle. We feel good about where she took all of our junk, knowing that she would reuse and recycle as much as she could. Ernestine is creative and resourceful, using junk removal as just one part of many ways that she connects people and things to reduce waste. She is a jack of many trades, and someone we will go back to for our needs in the future. We highly recommend her and her team! read more

I was looking for people to haul away items I had in my house for awhile. The day the movers arrived they came in and were really friendly. I will defiantly call you guys again if I need to get rid of items! read more

I am very happy that I decided to use a local company to move some of my furniture to the Bay Area. Ernestine was easy to work with, explaining the process beforehand, and giving me a fair, competitive estimate for the cost of the move. She came to the house the day of the move with the final paperwork so I was able to meet her. "Cha - Leo" and Armando were very pleasant and friendly, working quickly and efficiently, and were so very careful with the furniture, wrapping and padding it well. I highly recommend this company, Muscles for Moving, and would use it again. read more

My husband and I moved to Hidden Valley from Kelseyville. I looked up movers on the internet, I called 3 and Earnestine called me back right away. I never did hear from the other two. Earnestine and her crew were great - they moved fast and were very professional, protected my"stuff" and I got a very good price. They were friendly, kind people who go out of their way to please their customers. Exactly the kind of people you enjoy doing business with. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I am a retired events planner and my husband is a retired contractor, so we know good planning, quick reflexes, hard work and a "can do" attitude when we see it. Muscles for Moving has it all. We had a two-day, two-location truck loading booked with them, and it went smoothly and on time both days. The owner Ernestine is professional, thorough, and fast to respond to calls and texts. Her prices are not only fair market prices, for the *top quality service* you get, they are quite a bargain. Her right hand man Jose M. is fast, friendly, energetic, and understands that packing a truck tight is a lot like playing Tetris. He took direction well. We had no room wasted in that vehicle when he was done with it. Art K. was a delight to work with. As big as a tree and as patient as a rock, he was a great asset to the team. I could hand him things that had to be put in multiple places from the house to the truck, and he could keep it all straight. Speaking of straight... they showed up sober which is a real treat for Lake County. They did not smoke and they barely took breaks. I will use Muscles for Moving anytime I need movers in this area again. read more
