Drove by for years and finally decided to try this place. I ordered miso soup and the Fire Dragon roll. The Fire Dragon roll was good. However, the miso soup was by far the most disappointing miso soup I've ever had. Just a cloudy broth with nothing in it. No seaweed. No green onion. No tofu. Nothing. And matching flavor. read more

Our entrees came with soup and salad. The soup was I guess some kind of broth but it was so clear it was basically salty water with a ludicrous amount of salt dumped in and a couple of scallion slices on top. We both got fried rice. Far and away the saltiest meal I've ever had in my life. Could only eat a few bites. Seriously it was like dumping a box of Morton's salt straight into my mouth. I mean, I like salt as much as the next guy. But there was way, way too much of it in everything. Added a second star for very friendly service. read more

Musashi - Chicken Fried Rice was incredibly salty. - Japanese Near Me - Farmville, Virginia

Conveniently located next to the movie theater, we thought we'd pop in and grab an order of sushi before our movie began. The wait for hibachi was 30-45 minutes but only 15 for sushi. There's only one grill for the hibachi and it's not served table side, although you can watch the chef cook it up front. The ice dispenser looked disgusting; I'm unsure what the dark particles were but I didn't trust it so we opted for bottled drinks instead. The miso soup was cloudy, no tofu included, but the broth was good. The sushi were good enough and we didn't care for the Vietnamese egg rolls. read more

Been here twice now. Restaurant was mostly empty both times. Food was served quickly and employees were friendly. Got hibachi steak both times which was great. Ordered a California roll the second time which was also great. Not too expensive. Will go back. read more

Musashi - Hibachi steak - Japanese Near Me - Farmville, Virginia

DO NOT GO TO MUSASHI ASIAN CUISINE IN FARMVILLE, VA. The woman messed up an order of mine right at closing time a while ago and gave me chicken hibachi instead of steak and we called up there and instead of remaking it she sent a little container of rare steak and nothing else. I brought the food back the next day (kept in the fridge) and the owners had me in tears about redoing my meal. I didn't eat any of it. At all. Tonight we ordered there (5 meals) and were banned because my daughter can't eat mushrooms because she is allergic to them. He got mad and went off on Maddy because she told him that and we didn't know that when we ordered her food. Kevin Reeves went to talk to the man and he was a complete jerk and said he would take no more orders from us at all even on door dash. He said he would cancel it. I can only eat at a very few places in Farmville due to my gluten and food allergies. They have gotten a ton of business from us as we also live at SunChase and can walk there. They are rude and run their mouth even when they are in the wrong as with the woman messing up my order the first time. Kevin even went up there to talk to him and he just complained about having to throw away food. Even if it is their own fault. We ordered the meal with mushrooms in it while my daughter was in the shower and forgot to ask for no mushrooms which was an innocent mistake. She can't just pick them out. It has to be remade. With amount of money we have spent there I don't feel like this should have been an issue. It was presented to him as this was our second time messing up food orders and them having to throw it away. That is false. The woman even said she messed my order up the first time but that does not matter. Please save you time and money and eat somewhere that has good food and good customer service. This place should be shut down. I wouldn't give them any stars if that were an option. read more

Worst Japanese steakhouse in the world?Rice was terrible. The steak was overcooked and and california roll Terrible

I gave them 1 star... because "no stars" was not an option. The "salad" was a pathetically small melange of dead veges. The edamame was limp and over cooked. The chicken, shrimp and scallops were too salty to eat. My tongue hurts. The rice was tasteless... other than salt I'm only writing this because if I die in my sleep, let the cause be known! read more

I love this place, the chicken Pho is a staple pick me up in my college apartment! It's definitely a hole in the wall moms and pops style place- I only ever see a couple working and cooking, but it is definitely worth the visit! I'm picky about my tapioca and theirs is a bit soft for my liking but I still pick up a Boba Tea when I go! read more

Supporting small businesses plus, this place has BUBBLE TEA!!! Great customer service! Walked in super late and was still served with kindness and hospitality. The chicken teriyaki was good. Loved the taro bubble tea. Clean restaurant, everyone was friendly. Overall, if I am back in this area again, I will eat here again. I was happy. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I can't imagine why they have the bad reviews they do but I am here to tell you, as of yesterday, they are awesome!! Food is made fresh in front of you. The ginger salad dressing is fantastic, the steak and chicken are delicious and the rice is great! The onion soup was pretty awful but everything else was fantastic and to be honest they could just leave that out all together! Great place! read more

I tried the fire dragon role, the new chicken pho, and my boyfriend got the steak hibachi. Everything was sooooo good. Service was quick and very pleasant. Definitely ordering again! read more

This place now has new owner. It is very good food and owner is friendly and also the cook. I would recommend that if you tried it before and didn't like it to please try again. read more

I love how good and AFFORDABLE their food is. I'm a regular. I have yet to try their rolls but I will soon.

Love the sushi here. So reliably delicious. Must try this little spot. It's next door to a movie theater so make it a date night

Not even going to describe. Absolutely horrible don't come here. Nail supply's on the tables. Black dirt on the floor. Takes 30 min to make boba tea with me being only person in store. Guy just goes in back and talks on phone. My boba isn't even how boba it's supposed to be period. It was discusting. read more

Service was poor, but I'll chalk that up to only one person working in the whole restaurant, who had to play cashier, cook and waiter. Place was filthy too. Every surface felt sticky. Chicken hibachi, if I'm being generous, was mediocre. Portion size was extremely small across the board. Salad was brown on the edges, ginger dressing was uninspired. "Onion Soup" was just a veggie bouillon cube dropped in warm salt water. Couldn't eat the soup. My food was not great, and not very filling, but ultimately not dangerous. My colleague ordered the sushi, and the dark gray "tuna" that was served to her would have sent her to the hospital, guaranteed! She didn't even hesitate to send it back and ask for a refund, and I don't blame her. TL:DR : Go to Shogun, or leave town to get you sushi. read more

Do NOT order warm entree AND sushi. Order promised in 15-20 minutes. Our son went in to pick it up at 20 minutes. They BEGAN to make sushi after another 15-20 minutes. At 45-50 minutes he left with WRONG warm (now STONE COLD!!!) entree which included less than 1/2 cup chicken, box full of rice, totally wilted yellow salad, and cup of broth with 3 rings of green onion. Overpriced entree Sushi was mediocre. read more

One star is too much. Do not eat this sushi. This place's sushi is like food poisoning level bad. My friend that got the chicken hibachi said it was mediocre at best. If you are in town here, stick with Shogun. read more

Musashi - Don't come here...this is the tuna roll. Note that isn't the color of tuna. - Japanese Near Me - Farmville, Virginia

I love this restaurant so much. Their food is always amazing and they are very friendly and helpful. The prices are good. I have been here many times and keep coming back for good Asian food in the area. I've had the shrimp fried rice and salmon rolls and both were delicious. Love the yum yum sauce. Shoutout to Musashi, keep up the great work! read more

The miso soup and edamame were decent. And the dragon roll was very tasty. However the only other special roll was out and so we ordered 3 basic rolls. The 3 basic rolls were so bland and tasteless that you couldn't even tell the difference between them. Not worth the price tag! Kroger sushi tastes better and has better variety. read more

Do not waste your money or risk your health. Salmon smelled old. Hoping I don't get sick. There was hardly any filling in the sushi rolls either. Tiny pieces of old fish. Yuk read more

Disgusting. Save your money. Go to the grocery store, buy the cheapest teriyaki sauce and then go home and drown some chicken in it. Fried rice? It's like the "chef" only knew what it was because the concept was described to him once, and badly. No one's giving this place 5 stars. They're clearly creating ghost accounts to bump up their ratings. Expensive and poorly prepared is a bad restaurant concept. read more

Please do not waste your time here. The sushi is awful and the hibachi is mediocre at best. The lady was rude and she seemed to have an issue with people of color. She literally dropped my change in my hand from 10in. in the air. I will never give this place another dime of my money. Even if she wasn't rude, the food was not good enough to come back. read more

Amazing food, great prices and a yummy selection! Their boba tea is delicious also! The customer service is outstanding!

This was my go-to when I lived in Sunchase. People are hating, not sure why. It's standard hibachi. It's no shogun but no one can be.

I wouldn't even give them any star. December 2,2020. I order food from the restaurant. We both stated that both of my meals was the same. The lady who took my order said she only heard me say one meal special and the other how it came. I went on the let the lady know that they must didn't hear me and they my girl was allergic to the zucchini. She told me that's she was sorry and that was all. I asked her were they going to replace the Oder since it was wrong and she said no that's not her fault that's it was wrong. Which didn't meals any sense so I ask to talk to the guy and he was like yes he could remake it for me but I had to bring the whole order back untouched. I told him that I was driving back 30 minutes to town can I come back and get it tomorrow and he told me yes but I need to bring the food back still untouched that was so unprofessional and would never recommend anyone to go to this restaurant. read more

Sucked! Waited for like an hour for our food and there were only two other tables there. Sushi was awful. Not going here again. I'll stick with Shogun from now on. read more

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the area! They are always so kind and go out of their way to make their customers happy! The tables are always clean and nothing ever feels or looks dirty. As for the food, it is a decent price but I've never had a bad experience with it! It's always been very good and cooked just right. read more

Omg i was so disappointed. I never have this bad sushi.Even though only 2 reviews, I trusted that. What a mistake!!!!

If you like flavorless hibachi, crappy slushies, dirty restaurants, waiting over an hour for your food, and receiving the wrong order, then Musashi is perfect for you. I'm normally not someone who goes on Yelp to write a review, but this place was actually the worst. Extremely slow service, took an hour for the food. The dining area was a mess, soda was spilled all over the floor. Took maybe 40 minutes for the appetizers, and it was the wrong appetizer-- we heard guests around us saying that their orders were wrong too. When the food finally came, it was just okay. I also ordered a mango bubble tea, which never arrived. When they brought out the appetizers, they told me they were out of mango bubble tea-- even though we'd already paid for it. I ordered a different bubble tea instead. Another 20 minutes passed, and they brought our hibachi. Still no bubble tea. We finished eating, and I went up front to ask about my bubble tea. They said, "we're working on it now, it'll be out soon." It took another 15 minutes after that-- seriously, what kind of restaurant doesn't bring you your drink until you're done eating? It wasn't even good bubble tea, it may as well have been a slushie from Sonic. Definitely the worst service I've ever had in my life. There is literally nothing good to say about this place. read more

The hibachi is average but I would never get the sushi there again. I had a Philadelphia roll and spicy tuna roll and was not impressed.

The first and last time I'll ever be here, I walked up to the store at 2pm, and it was locked with a sign saying she'll be back and to call her so I called and waited 15 minutes outside. Finally when she unlocked the store I ordered an Alaskan roll w/ blueberry boba tea, and I've gotten boba tea plenty of times and it's always like a milk tea that tastes amazing, and the one I got tasted like a really sweet blueberry slushy with tapioca pearls which disappointed me. And I got my sushi togo, and when I opened it it was just salmon and cucumber. Like no avocado that I asked for, I was highly disappointed read more

Good hibachi/teriyaki. I always get steak and chicken. Husband and kids get steak and shrimp - there's enough food to split between a couple of them still. Salad and soup is good. Tried a California roll there and didn't enjoy it - but the best in town for the hibachi. read more

For $16 I got the steak and chicken hibachi entree and a drink. Comes with fried rice, onion soup, and salad. I couldn't sub the miso soup for the onion soup even tho they are the same cost. We got our food and wasn't given silverware. We asked and the sever got us some but had his hands all over them and some were dirty, when we voiced our concern he went and got new forks in a napkin. The portion of meet was less then typical hibachi restaurants however the food tasted decent. Overall appearance of the place was ok, nothing special. read more
