In response to my complaint, the business manager stated below that they'd "do better" and that 97.8% of their customers have no complaints. What he failed to mention is that this company proceeded to try to extort me after I filed my original complaint. We were moving from a five bedroom four bathroom house, and we felt overwhelmed! We Murrieta Moving Company and they came in and tackled the job without any hesitation. This has been a terrible experience from the start. After 3 months, Etech Hi, Inc.'s damages have still not been rectified and we've continuously had to follow up via Voicemail and Email for updates on what is going on, to no avail... this company (Murrieta Moving AKA Redlands Moving) DOES NOT CARE. The scoop: We had a company office move at the end of July 2022 across town. Appx 5 miles from our previous location. On moving day, our movers showed up (2 adult males and 1 individual who didn't look a day over 16 years old). The adult males were already exhausted from a previous move the night before, having said they were out until 3:00am! Honestly, when you have a 'time' based rate of pay for movers and they show up tired, that's not a good sign. All of our furniture was 90% pre-packed, boxed, labeled, etc. We were told this would speed up the move process so the guys could wrap the large items in blankets for loading. After they loaded our office furniture and items into their truck (one by one), we all get in our vehicles to drive to our new office (less than 5 miles away). We waited and waited, and after an HOUR+ LATER, they show up with our stuff and to unload... (would have been nice for our team to have a break instead of stand around for an hour+) When they arrived and began unloading the truck, we found out they NEVER wrapped our furniture/desks in blankets as we were told... Items were scratched, screws ripped out from desk hutch doors, scratches on the faces of the desks, drawers are damaged and uneven. Picture frame completely broken to pieces. File cabinets dented. I'll include a couple photos... Our once very nice office furniture had irreparable damages. We reached out to the company in an effort to rectify the damages... It took over 3 weeks for the claim person to reach back out to us. Richelle, who had us fill out a claim form, told us that we would be paid for damaged based on the weight of each item. $0.60 per pound. We sent her tons of pictures. After sending the form and photos, we had to follow up over and over as weeks went by with no update. After numerous follow ups, we get a call and are TOLD that we cancelled our credit card charge and they INSISTED we did so. This accusation was completely NOT TRUE. After going round and round, when they confirmed back to us the last 4 digits of the card number, clearly we were being confused with another company (who apparently was complaining about their service that ultimately was the same total cost as our move....) - eventually they admitted they mixed us up with another client. Very unprofessional. Finally after additional weeks had gone by, Richelle said she needed to come see the damage in person, so we said fine, and had her visit. She saw everything we photographed of items damaged, and said that she would take this back to management for rectification. The total damages equated to over $1000+. After 12 weeks, we were lowballed as they tried to tell us because of the "materials" our desks are made out of, they were not willing to pay what they said they would. These are not ikea grade desks mind you, they are executive high quality desks that the company has had for years in impeccable condition. To this day, we have still not been compensated for damages that took place on 7/31/22 and do not get responses to our inquiries. DO NOT USE! This is the worst moving experience ever. VERY slow (surprise, they charge by the hour). Things marked 'fragile" meant nothing to them. I had broken items from boxes (marked fragile) turned upside down. The kicker was at the end of an 8-hour day, which I was quoted as "4-5 hours tops". They put the pressure on me to give a tip. We scheduled over a month ahead of time and 30 minutes before they were supposed to arrived they informed us they would not be able to make it until the next day...THEN they were not cautious whatsoever when packing our things and consistently had to ask them to make sure items were secured because they did not look like they were safe in the truck. Upon them arriving to our new home we discovered many of our large furniture items were completely thrashed. We hired this company to move us . We were quoted a price including packing ( we were to supply most of our moving boxes) wish we agreed to it. On the day of moving 2 of the guys that was supposed to pack never show up. They also noticed that we ourself had done a lot of packing! The mover in charge given me another quote a little cheaper. **Warning** Do not use this company or any of its affiliates. The movers showed up and moved our belongings from Murrieta to Bonsall. The movers forgot to unload my husband's Olympic set of weights as the movers put them on the high shelving part of their truck. When we realized that the 6 pieces of weights were missing, I called the office to ask them to check the truck and their lost and found. They never called me back and I kept calling them to please have the manager call me back. They kept telling me that they would have to check the Murrieta office and promised to get back to me but thy never did. After 2 weeks of chasing them down, the one lady answering the phone told me she would look into and get back to me. After calling several more times, and a month later, she advised me that they had replaced their entire list and found department and the new person will be getting back to me asap. Nobody called back. I kept calling them and Richelle finally called me to let me know that the movers did bring in my 6 pieces of weights and checked them into their lost and found, however, they gave the weights to another customer! Apparently, another customer had claimed that the movers didn't deliver some sports equipment and gave them our weights! It's bad enough the the customer took the weights knowing that they didn't belong to them but why did Murrieta Moving look at exactly what was missing from them before giving away our weights to the wrong customer?! Richelle apologized and told me that she can go online and purchase the replacement weights and deliver them to my house, OR, we could go buy them and send them the receipt for reimbursement. At this point, I didn't trust that they would buy the same replacement or when they would ever get to this since they have been dragging their feet and not responsive for 4 months! Based on what Richelle told us, I went to 3 different Dick's Sporting Goods and finally bought the 6 pieces totaling $386.27. I sent her the receipt and another week goes by without any communication. I kept calling her and after another 2 weeks go by, I finally get a hold of her and she tells me that they aren't going to accept the receipt nor did she say anything about getting a full refund for the weights!! Then she tells me that insurance will only pay about $100 and she can't do anything more. I asked for a manager to call me back and she tells me that she's the manager and nobody else can help me. After hounding her for 3 weeks, she tells me she can give me $300 and that's more than what the insurance can pay so I should just accept it. At this point, it's more of a principal than the money. I told her she told my husband and I the 2 choices and I accepted one of the 2 choices and she needs to honor what she said! She claimed she went over and beyond and can't give me more than $300. I'm furious since they wasted so much of my time chasing after this and driving around to get the replacement weights, expecting to get reimbursed. They had my weights and they gave it away to another customer so they are responsible for their mistake! I asked Richelle for the owner's name and phone number but she wouldn't disclose any info claiming she would leave a note for him. Nobody called and they ignored me. I called her last week to find out why her manager hasn't called me back and it is then that she tells me that the manager/owner reprimanded her for offering the $300 and he wouldn't pay anything above the $100! I'm infuriated and disgusted at this company's ethics and non- customer service. Once they get their money upfront, they don't give a care about your stuff and they lie, lie, lie in the hopes that people just go away. A company is as good as how they treat their customers after the service and Murrieta Moving had NO integrity and could care less about their customers!!! ***AVOID THIS COMPANY AND ALL OF THEIR AFFILIATES BECAUSE THEY ARE HORRIBLE*** ***Randy Rogers is the President of this company and he's a coward and t ethical! Won't even call a customer back to make things right after their manager made an offer to reimburse!!!!! Crooks!!! Murrieta Moving (also know as Redlands Moving) initially was very professional and came to the house to give a thorough estimate. We hired them for our out of state move. They followed up each week to check-in and see if there were any changes or if we had questions. When moving day came, our driver showed up two hours late with several helpers. At first, the crew appeared organized and eager to get things loaded. As the day wore on and they were behind schedule, things got frantic as they carelessly starting throwing items in luggage garments with minimal wrap or simply an item of clothing wrapped around it as a buffer. Things were being grabbed quickly, carelessly, and randomly. Some things that weren't supposed to go got packed, and things that needed to go were still there. Finally we were ready to go to storage to pick up a few things, but the driver was trying to claim it wasn't in the paperwork which it was. A call to the office verified that and we were finally loaded at 7:00 at night. Hours later than it should've been. The movers packed us up on Thursday and were supposed to arrive early afternoon Sunday. The driver didn't call until 4:30 where he shared he had mechanical problems with the truck and wouldn't be there until Monday morning. This left us in an empty house with no place to sleep, etc. The next morning the driver reported he was waiting for the crew and it would take awhile. The driver finally showed up three hours late with no crew which presented problems trying to get things unloaded. Everything in the van looked like it had been thrown in there with little care for protection. Many priceless items were broken, damaged, or missing because there was no system to loading them. In addition, the driver often took breaks to walk his dog who was apparently in the cab. He also was rude at times and made sexist remarks to me and my son's girlfriend. When it was finally unloaded, we contacted Murrieta Moving to report what a disaster everything was and she contacted upper management and assured us there would be financial compensation. We completed the required claim forms the company sent and called back weekly for updates, but we were continually put off. We kept hearing, "These things take time." Finally after two months, we tried to reach upper management and they wouldn't give a number and were very evasive. They connected us to a person assigned to our case who turned out to be the driver from our move! Finally we filed a claim with our insurance and things went from there. This is one of the worst movie companies for so many reasons across the board. I had valuable antiques and family heirlooms that were so badly damaged. You can't replace the sentimental value they hold. The moving company talked a good game, but when it came right down to it, Murrieta Moving (aka Redlands Moving and Big Bear Moving) do not care about you or your precious belongings and don't stand behind their word. They deserve a half star or no star for their treatment of people and their possessions, but that option wasn't available. I can not say enough good things about my experience with Murrieta Moving. From my initial contact with Richelle to the final box placed exactly where I asked, by David and Caesar, I was impressed. My long distance mover arrived at La Cresta at 8pm, unloaded at 1:30am leaving my house empty but my 4 garages completely full. In their defense - they had trouble with their older truck. I called Richelle - explained the situation and a day later - I kid you not - my furniture is in place! Short notice, on a weekend, and not only did they make it happen but they were quick, careful, and very professional. Their rates are quite reasonable. I can not thank you all enough for helping me, and taking such great care with my furnishings. We hired them to move my son's EX Fiance out of his house. They quoted a rate by the hour and gave us an estimate of the time needed based on our description of the job. They arrived when they said they would, clean, polite, clean truck and completed the job in less time than they estimated for us. Best $$$ we ever spent. Did not have to deal with the EX at all-they loaded at our end and delivered to her without us ever having to deal with her. DO NOT HIRE THEM! 0 stars is what they deserve. For starters they lost their license back in June with the state of California. We hired them to do our move they broke every single item of furniture they moved for us. 2 dresser, 2 night stands, entertainment system and a coffee table, and a dining room table, pull up bar, spin cycle and tv! They lost our couch legs and stained one of our couches! Sad part was I was carrying heavier things than one of the "movers". They quoted us for one price and then turned out being double. One of the movers was cleaning and sweeping the back of the truck for about an hour. I paid you to move my stuff not clean your truck. Then they offer us .60 a lbs for the damages. When speaking to manager Dave he said we would not get a refund due to the move being done. Well it was done but very poorly now I need 2 new dressers, 2 nights stands, 2 new couches , dining room table and coffee table and pull up bar, spin cycle and tv. I hired a local company that said they were in business for 20+ yrs, a local company.I thought that was a good move using local people. First they told me they moved pianos but don't, they said they would send two truck and four(4) men. The first day one of the four walked away at lunch. Now we were behind with one odd guy trying to help. They said it would be one day of moving. At 11:00 at night, they said they would come back in the morning and finish up. They arrived with one truck and only two(2) men. At 11:00 that night, they still were not finished and myself and brother helped them on both days. By the way, my brother and I moved all the pots, plants and garage before they got there. The moving went at a snails pace the second day. They left at 11:00PM or so but left the heavy stuff downstairs that should have been upstairs, and stuff upstairs that should have been downstairs. There were probably 40 boxes that needed to me moved in place and damaged problems. Also, they did not put the drawers back in the runners because they broke them. The manager told me he would send a couple of guys back for a few hours, but totally reneged on that promise. Later on he said "i told you I would if I could free some people, but I can't" I then filed a claim, and was told it would take 8-10 weeks before any one could fix the problem.Well that was 2 mos ago so far and no word of repairs. I had to Hire a new company to finish the move. They were on time and excellent in service. No help from Murrieta movers and no word on repairs. Is this a company you want to do business with????? So beyond disappointed! To start things off we get a call a half hour before our trucks are supposed to arrive day of move and that they have to cancel day off because they didn't have a truck. They ended up rescheduling and gave us a 10% discount, but what made the move an absolute shit show was the fact that numerous pieces of furniture were damaged to the point of being not salvageable. It seems like because of Covid they are just hiring random people off the street. We ended up getting a trainee but instead of sending 2 movers and a trainee. They opted to only send 1 mover so the senior mover has to constantly stop and instruct and check on the trainee. Dont get me wrong the trainee is trying but if you charge people by the hour then this natural slowdown is a scam. I will never use this company again and wouldnt recommend them to anyone. The actual people that moved me were fantastic and that's the only reason it got bumped to 2 star.. their management is less than desirable. Edit: they sent a 3rd guy but the total time lost at the start still cost us money. Friendly staff, helpful in scheduling a quick move of a garage. Unfortunately, the movers showed up and refused the job stating, "it was too dirty for them." This left me in a pickle. Just had a great moving experience with the help of Juan and Alberto. They were prompt, professional, and capable. I hired Murrieta Moving to facilitate moving my daughters belonging from her apartment in to storage. They came out on Sunday 6/16/19, and finished within four hours. They had to endure three flights of stairs! These two young men were very good communicators and you could tell they knew what they were doing. My parents were moving about 225 miles away and nothing was going right. We rented a truck and the extra help fell thru, 2 minor injuries later we were defeated and ready to quit. After a quick search and some phone calls this company was the most fair price and Richelle was beyond professional and kind on the phone. Ted and Juan showed up exactly on time with Richelle there to handle the paperwork and make sure everything was in order for what we needed. Ted and Juan were quick, efficient, kind and patient (my parents have never used movers and had some normal hesitance), and so incredibly careful with my parents belongings. Everything was wrapped and packed correctly in the truck. From my dad's review they were the same on the other end. Quick, efficient, friendly and careful. They left ZERO damage and I think that's a pretty huge feat in itself for any move. Oh and they didn't try to tack on charges. They charged exactly what they quoted and not a penny more.
