Sip is now Sugar Momma. This is one of Ontario's best hidden gems. They whip up custom sodas and…read moreenergy drinks with a very wide variety of flavors and creams to add. The best way I can describe why you should go here is if you are an 80s or 90s baby and want to taste your childhood again... you just found the spot. My go to drink is a sugar free energy drink with huckleberry puree and coconut cream.... I know, it sounds crazy, but it tastes like the old school snow cones from the ice cream truck... the perfect syrupy sip when you get to the end. They are famous for their cookies. Always new and interesting seasonal flavors popping up. On top of everything else I love about Sugar Momma, their customer service is beyond excellent. Always greeted with a smile! Shop local!

What's not to like? Soda - good, service - good, prices - gooood!…read more Seriously though, this is a great place to stop for a drink any time of day. My youngest had been here before and really liked it so I decided to swing by and see what it's all about. You can create just about any drink your heart desires! They have some menu items created or you can pick a base soda like Dr. Pepper or Mt. Dew then add flavors or toppings. They even have Monster energy as a base in case you need a pick me up. They have Powerade and lemonade too if you don't want anything carbonated. Even sparkling water is an option. Bonus: the ice they use is like the ice at Sonic. Sugar Momma offers cookies but they are not available on Monday so I can't tell you anything about those yet. The place is bright and clean and there is some seating available. The owners are super sweet and they do a lot for the community which makes me love this place even more! So if you're in the area or even passing through, stop by, grab a drink, and support small businesses!

I remember this joint towards the other end of Fairview so it was nice to run into it today. I never got a chance to stop into their last location so I took today as a sign to grab some treats. I walked in and sawthe beautiful display of goodies. I'm a visual eater so seeing all my options front and center is fantastic! They all looked like gems. Trying to pick a few cookies out of all their options was going to be a tough one. If I had my way, I would have gotten one of every kind. There were two gals that were helping a guest. I let them handle that transaction while I was looking over the display case. She was asking a bunch of questions so it was taking a bit for them to help her. I honestly thought that at least one of them would have greeted me. It's not the best feeling just standing there feeling invisible. I don't think two people need to ring up one guest. So, I just stood there. Finally a sweet gal that was in the baking area greeted me. She was really kind and knew that I was not being helped. She stepped up to the plate and got me taken care of. I finally narrowed my 4 cookies down to a chocolate chip, lemon sugar, pb Nutella and a cookies and cream. You gotta have a classic chocolate, it sets the standard for your shop. Lemon sounds refreshing for the hot day today. PB and Nutella is a winning combo. And you can never go wrong with Oreos on top of a soft cookie with frosting. I started with the PB and Nutella cookie. I had no restraint and ate that whole thing while driving to my grandma's place. She lives about 4 minutes away. It was so good! The cookie was very peanut butter forward. The Nutella frosting was the perfect compliment to the cookie. My grandma got the lemon cookie. I did steal a bite or two. I'm so happy I chose that cookie. The cookie was sweet and the frosting was tangy and bright! I shared the other two cookies with my husband later that night after dinner. How do y'all bake such a thick cookie and have it perfectly cooked in the middle!?! It's pure magic. The chocolate chip was just what we needed after dinner. It was thick, soft and had a nice amount of chocolate chips. I did polish off the Cookies and Cream cookie the next day. Everything about that cookie was fantastic! I appreciate how much Oreo was on top. I would frequent this joint if it's closer to work or my house. I'm happy I got to stop in and grab some sweets for my family and I. My initial interaction wasn't the best but I adore the gal that helped me for stepping up and helping me out. You only get one chance to make a great first impression and the first two girls working really failed. Happy that the cookies were fabulous and if I'm ever in the area, I will have to stop in and try another 4. Hopefully my next visit will be nice from start to finish.

I am so sad, and know that I will be for quite a long time , so to ease the pain a bit and help me to stay busy and keep my mind off of losing her, my very beautiful friend decided we should go to Peaceful Belly Farm and relax, have some delicious food, be in nature and around positive people with a beautiful ambience. Of course Peaceful Belly delivered as always. We decided to have a gorgeous glass of Viogner, and thought it would be nice to split a few of the dishes to share. We started with the spinach dip bread bowl, with farm, fresh spinach mixed with a three cheese blend served in a Acme sourdough loaf. The dip was so yummy, creamy and heartwarming, and there were so many layers of flavor. It was just the right amount of salty and the texture was wonderful. It was served in an Acme sourdough loaf which is always delicious. They cut up the top portion of the bowl into small pieces so that we could easily dunk the bread into the dip. It was the perfect way to start the meal. I don't think there was much left of that when all was said and done. The second dish that we decided on together was the deviled eggs. They were beautiful, fresh, farm eggs that were nice and cold and the yolks were whipped beautifully with dill and garlic filling. Garnished on top of the eggs they served this insane, brown sugar, caramelized McIntyre bacon. There were some gorgeous, delicate, yellow, edible flower petals on top which took it over the top aesthetically. They were perfect. It was a serving of four and it was just enough for my friend and I. Last but not least, we had a dish made from homemade chorizo from the James Beard nominated Chef, Dan Ansot of Ansot's Basque restaurant in downtown Boise. It was phenomenal. Made with warm saffron stew that had carrots and sweet pepper, onion and garlic on a creamy polenta base topped with his Basque chorizo and grilling cheese (which is one of my favorite cheeses ever!) It was spicy and so complex. We really enjoyed this dish tremendously. Our server Kayla was wonderful. She checked up on us often, but not too often to make sure that we were enjoying everything and asked if we wanted more wine. The dishes came out in a timely manner and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The atmosphere is gorgeous set in an open space full of greenery and flowers and food growing all about the property, not to mention all of the gorgeous black and white sheep that are grazing peacefully around the restaurant outside. It was a perfect day with a perfect friend with perfect weather and really helped me to set aside the sadness I felt from losing my sweet little fur baby, even if just for a little while. The inside is impeccably clean and a bright open space with plenty of tables. They have a ton of gorgeous dry flowers from all over the property hanging gracefully from the ceiling and they always have fun artwork hanging on the walls. I will always return. They do a good thing for the community and they have a gorgeous space with beautiful food and people. Thank you for helping me through my grief. See you soon!
