I was nearing E and knew I wouldn't be making the next major area for fuel and having just passed the Hancock area I needed to pull off. Unless you live off this exit from I-70, there is really nothing here besides this business. It is a welcomed sight when you are in need. The Exxon serves as more than a gas station. There is fuel for trucks as well and in the very near future there will be charging stations for your electric vehicles. They were installing them during my visit. Being that there isn't any competition here for fuel, they kind of set the prices. They are fair, but not the best. Ample enough pumps when they are not doing maintenance on what they have. When I was here, they were working on the awning, taking out a few of the pumps as they made progress. I used pay at the pumps. It felt like I wasn't able to get out of here fast enough. Before I could even get out of my vehicle and swipe my card there was already somebody behind me. The pump took a bit, but soon enough I was done and back in my vehicle. Easy to get back onto the Interstate once I was done. This will be on my short list when it comes to places for fuel on my trips.

There is also a convenience store/deli here, so you can fuel up on sandwiches and convenience store junk food as well. That is until they hired this one girl in the kitchen who is incapable of putting together a breakfast burrito. She seems to not care about the food she prepares at all. This morning was the 3rd time she made my burrito and it will be the last. I always get a sausage, egg, and cheese with salsa added. 1st time she used cocktail sauce instead of salsa. 2nd time she forgot to add the cheese. This time she managed to fuse the paper wrap to the tortilla, causing the burrito to fall apart as I opened it. It seems this employee needs to be retrained on how to prepare food.

Here you have the gas/convenience store, IHOP, Little Caesars all in one building with Burger King sitting off to the left of everything else. There isn't much competition in this small town so it is a welcomed option when you want to make a quick on and off of the highway. Gas prices are the given for the area. Service inside is decent, staff are friendly. With it being new, it is bright and clean and everything is well stocked.
