Unfortunately when I returned home from work, I discovered Retelle was in the process of removing a tree on my property. When I confronted the owner, he never apologized and left the stump for me to deal with. I asked Retelle to remove the stump since they cut down a tree without my permission and they refused. I don't like to leave negative posts but this is what happened to me.

I needed a large maple tree removed from my backyard and our tight gate opening didn't allow for…read morelarger machinery. Went with Lopez Landscaping since they had the smaller equipment and manpower to get the job done. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

The trees I had Steve take down were large trees in difficult circumstances. Steve is a tree climber and limbs the tree as he climbs, then takes the top off and works down from there. It is a tricky technique that takes skill and courage. The advantage to the homeowner is the work is more precise in where the tree falls and the damage to the yard is more limited. Nevertheless, dropping trees and removing the slash is messy work. But Steve and his crew have always left the yard in amazing condition after the extensive work done. I have referred others to Steve Repoza and they have been pleased with his work too. I plan on having him back when the occasion arises. G.N. - Londonderry NH

When I was home, I had a large tree cut down in my back yard on June 17. They cut a hole in my vinyl fence with the chain saw. I called the main #781-518-8014 and was told to text pictures. I also emailed the pics to eastcoasttree@outlook.com No one was getting back to me. I called Kevin Yore 781-628-8126 and left a message. He left me a massage on June 30 that he wasn't aware of this and would talk to the boss Tom Fitzpatrick and get this taken care of right away. Yet he saw the pics the day before on email. I have left several messages on the phone and through email almost daily for 3.5 weeks and have gotten no response or resolution. Tom FitzPatrick and his company East Coast Tree are a disreputable company. do not hire them!! I wish I could add pictures here.

Last month, I had them back out to remove a large pine tree next to my garage and prune the dead stuff off several other trees. County Tree Service is a family owned and operated business. Joe and, his life-long friend (they've been friends longer than I've been alive), Chucky, along w/Joe's son, Bobby, are friendly, professional, hardworking guys. I actually enjoyed hanging around while they worked, and they didn't seem to mind either. All of their vehicles and equipment are clean & well maintained. Speaking of clean, they do a great job cleaning up the yard when they're done. Some of the other services I got quotes from last year stated that they would not remove excess stump grindings, which is a hassle if you don't have a place to dump them on your property. To top it all off, Joe's pricing is very competitive and he stands by his estimates... the price he quotes is what you pay.
