This review is long overdue, and I highly recommend County Tree Service. I had the guys out to my house last summer to remove a couple trees (both of which were climbs/no crane access) and a huge stump. Last month, I had them back out to remove a large pine tree next to my garage and prune the dead stuff off several other trees. County Tree Service is a family owned and operated business. Joe and, his life-long friend (they've been friends longer than I've been alive), Chucky, along w/Joe's son, Bobby, are friendly, professional, hardworking guys. I actually enjoyed hanging around while they worked, and they didn't seem to mind either. All of their vehicles and equipment are clean & well maintained. Speaking of clean, they do a great job cleaning up the yard when they're done. Some of the other services I got quotes from last year stated that they would not remove excess stump grindings, which is a hassle if you don't have a place to dump them on your property. To top it all off, Joe's pricing is very competitive and he stands by his estimates... the price he quotes is what you pay. read more

Overall great experience with County Tree Service. Their quote for trimming back a bank of trees and fine pruning on two additional specimens was competitive with others I obtained. Joe honored the quote without question when we were finally able to schedule a couple of months later. We had some confusion when setting the date but Joe apologized and made it right. His work was top notch: cuts were clean and well placed to ensure the health of the tress. My local landscaper had done a brutal hack job on an arborvitae - misshaped and cut back so thin it wasn't clear there'd be much room to fix it. But Joe took such care that today it looks better than ever. They cleaned everything up as they went and actually left the yard in better shape than how they'd found it. We had a number of trees removed and others pruned and even in the middle of the job when we weren't sure about the removal of a couple trees, Joe let us take the time to rethink our decision. He is very knowledgeable about trees and provided us with his professional opinion. His goal is to do an excellent job so the customer is more than satisfied and he accomplished that with the work he did at our house. Joe and team is incredible. We had a huge tree (with three trunks) removed from our front yard and had it stump ground. I got several quotes from different tree service companies (including from the one I normally use). Joe was by far the most reasonably priced and very responsive. Based on that and the Yelp ratings I decided to go with him. I was not disappointed. Joe and his team showed up exactly when they say they would. They worked fast and were very efficient. They even worked over the weekend and left the place cleaner than when they arrived. These guys seriously do go above and beyond without charging for it. I called them and they came out 15 minutes later, provided a fair price quote, and started removing the fallen 30' tree in a half hour after that! They used a crane truck and shredder and where very precise at removing the trees. I would hire again. read more

We had to get 4 old trees (~60-70 feet per tree) removed and another 2-3 trees cut back from overtaking our home. We called around to 3-4 places for quotes and Joe (owner) was by far the most professional, proactive, and fairly priced. His equipment and trucks looks very new and well maintained. It took them a span of 3 days to complete the whole job and each day, Joe made sure all the scraps were cleaned out. He even helped us get rid of a small 10' dogwood that was pushed up against the side of our house. They were awesome and we have plans to bring them back next summer for more work. I contacted County Tree Service to obtain an estimate for tree removal. Not only were they punctual in there rely they were the best estimate of the four that I obtained. On the day of tree removal they were punctual and extremely efficient. They communicated with us about every step off the process. They did an outstanding job of cleaning residual debris from the removed tree. I recommend them fully and will use them in the future for tree trimming and or tree removal. Joe (the owner) is a terrific guy and reason enough to go with County Tree Service. He is extremely knowledgeable about trees and homes in general. When giving the estimate we had a great conversation about the trees encroaching on my house and what would be the best course of action. He gave me the quote right on the spot, no BS. A couple months later we ended up going with Joe and County Tree Service to remove several trees from our backyard as well as trim back several plants and trees that were well over our fence. When Joe came to do the work I asked him about removing a couple very large plants/bushes that we wanted to get rid of on top of and he threw it in free for us! A landscaper would've easily charged us $100+ for this. The tree removal was completed in one day and opened up our yard giving us the feeling of having a much larger yard with more sunshine. My yard was in need of tree removal along with the removal of huge branches high up on a sycamore tree, and much pruning of trees and shrubs throughout the yard. County Tree Service did a wonderful job, and provided expert advice and recommendations. I had no idea that my birch tree had an issue until Joe consulted with me, removed the area of disease, and saved my tree which is part of a grouping at a focal point in the front of my home. What a difference his work made, my yard looks beautiful thanks to his expert work. He is a precision cutter, he considers every cut before he does it, and it shows in his fine work.
