I was standing next…read moreto the car watching the techs at work when suddenly my Hybrid Camry switched from electric to engine power because Kirk did not turn the car off properly. All the techs working started to yell frantically, and Kirk rushed to the car to turn the engine off. After I asked if they could document the incident in case of engine failure in the future. Kirk laughed and said no and kicked me out of the service area. Upon completion of the service, I again asked for documentation, and he said he needed to call his boss and ask him how to handle the situation. At this point, I started recording. Kirk then came back and said there was nothing he could do and that I needed to pay and leave. When he was asked about his side of the story, he said he had already given it to me, although he hadn't. Later, he admitted he was not in the room when the engine turned on, cut off the electricity, and switched to engine power. He then told me the oil change was on the house, so I called that suspicious, and he revoked the offer. After I paid, he left the office, and that's when the tech who was working on the oil change admitted on camera that the engine was on.
