The first two of my three children went to different orthodontists; one in Wheaton that sold us on a two-step plan that ended up costing an astronomical amount of money, and one in Glen Ellyn, who's office staff left a lot to be desired in terms of customer service. I have to say that this experience far surpasses both of those. The office staff is always pleasant and accommodating. They walked us through my son's orthodontia plan, set up a payment plan that worked for us, and were always helpful with appointments. Most of all, his orthodontia was completed in the timeframe that Dr. Saylor had promised us, as well as no additional last-minute issues. He went the extra mile to coordinate some post orthodontia dental work that needed to be done with our dentist. I recommend him to all of our friends!

(surprise! that's where Dr. Wardell is on Fridays in Glen Ellyn) I received braces as a part of an overall procedure to extract a baby tooth, expose the adult impacted tooth in the palate, and essentially realign my entire bottom and top teeth to accommodate all the changes- starting at 28. Needless to say, quite the complicated process. I moved out of Chicago to South Wisconsin midway through my 4.5 year braces treatment. Due to the quality of Dr. Wardell's care explaining each step of the procedure, answering my questions, I remained a patient of his, seeing him at his suburban practice. The office staff always being understanding that my commute was long, were very helpful in scheduling appointments to fit around work and other logistical things. I really appreciate it and, if you could not tell already, I would highly recommend them.

I visited 3 orthodontists in the area and checked out many things - availability, parking, what they recommended and of course price. I picked Dr. Head because he is an INVOLVED orthodontist. He only has 3 or 4 chairs in the back, not 6 or 8 like others. He spends lots of time with his patients and is available for questions. You can talk to him anytime your child has an appointment. The other docs I checked out had a large staff who did almost all the work on the patient and the doc would waltz in for a few seconds here and there. His office doesn't have anything fancy like video games or give out t-shirts to their patients, but I don't want to pay for that. I just want my boys to have straight teeth and have a doctor that is available and honest. I have 4 friends whose children are Dr. Head's patients based on my recommendation. I think that says it all.

His office is very nice, and his office staff is friendly and professional. Dr. Head, himself, is pretty good, though I can't speak to him that much, since replacement retainers take such little time and commitment from the orthodontist. In fact, when I came back to pick up the retainer after it was molded to my mouth, I'm pretty sure Dr. Head never even saw me come in. The price of the retainer was quite fair, given the price of retainers, and I don't think there was an office visit fee. Last time I was there, they charged extra if you used a credit card. Not sure if the policy is still the same. Overall, not a bad place to go.

It could have either been because she did not want to undo the work she just did of putting it on, because she might have been late for her lunch break, or both... ...Other than that, both Dr. LaRoia and his staff are pure professionals. They're skilled, attentive, considerate, and pleasant to be around. There's also so many beautiful people there. The night guard impressions were taken 3 weeks ago, but since the practice is going out of business, customer satisfaction is at an all time low. I was told to pick up the night guard at 5:30pm on Friday. By 7:00pm Lisa decided to close the office, throw me out causing physical harm when she slammed and locked the door on my backside and hand (I have it all on video). Furthermore, she refuses to give the appliance I purchased to my 17 year old son, fiance', or myself. If you read her profile online, she states "it's impossible to have a bad day at work."Hmmmm. I called my bank and disputed the charges on my card. I intend on filing battery charges with the Glen Ellyn Police against Lisa.

They consistently over book appointments. They have absolutely no respect for your time. I have been a patient for nearly a year. I never get seen on time. And yet, the have the audacity to have late policies against, yes against patients. Their prices are higher than most based on the reputation of a doctor who will not be your orthodontist. Again, besides the first day he will not be serving you. They cancel and reschedule your appoints all the time to consolidate and overbook slots. With not as much as an apology. This place is a classic example of a spot drinking its own kool-aid. Parking! Their locations are horrible. Never any parking. A converted house with no parking. A spot in Glen-Ellyn no street parking! And again a tiny waiting room full, absolutely full, of poor people too far into treatment to change. Save your money and go to a reasonable place. Braces are not rocket science and there is nothing novel in his approach. Once the brackets are on it is just tightening every month and how much you want to over pay someone to waste your precious time in his waiting room.
