These flavour ideas are delicious! Some I've never heard of - like crab apple, and sea buckthorn which was so fruity and tasty! They openly offer samples of whatever you would like to try. The menu changes every week, so there's always something new to try. Pints are also available in the freezer for self-serve. They also offer coffee and hot chocolate (for those who fear cold foods in cold weather? Hahaha) No need to rush off! Don't forget to check out the back patio! Located in the heart of this charming small Ontario town, Scoops is a simple walk-up ice cream stand with outdoor seating that perfectly fits the laid-back atmosphere of Pakenham. There isn't any indoor seating, but on a nice day that's part of the experience. The menu offers a variety of hard ice cream flavors along with soft serve, milkshakes, floats, and other frozen treats. Over the years, some flavors have come and gone, but a few of my current favorites are Moose Tracks, Heavenly Hash, and Maple Walnut. I was also thrilled to see that they now offer gluten-free cones, which made the experience even better for me. One of my family members never passes up the chocolate-dipped waffle cones. The homemade waffle cones are a standout and fill the area with that irresistible fresh waffle cone aroma. Scoops is also incredibly dog-friendly. One of my favorite memories is stopping here with our chocolate Lab and treating him to one of their doggy cones--a small cone topped with vanilla soft serve. It's such a simple but thoughtful touch that always makes me smile. Parking can be a little challenging during peak summer hours. There are a few street parking spots right in front of the shop, but if those are full, you can usually find parking elsewhere in town within a short walking distance. Even when the line gets long, the staff does a great job keeping things moving, and we've always found them to be friendly and attentive. Between the small-town charm, delicious ice cream, homemade waffle cones, and years of family memories, Scoops has become much more than just an ice cream stop for us. I ordered a hot fudge Sundae, no nuts and no cherry (please) with hard ice cream. An older gentleman was serving. He made a joke, "no whipped cream too?". I laughed an said "lots of whipped cream please". He then proceeded to make a sundae with alot of nuts. I gently reminded him for no nuts. He then hands me a sundae with virtually no fudge and with a cherry. I request more fudge and no cherry. Pictured is the final product. This constitues a hot fudge sundae at Scoops There were 6 others with me. atleast two complained of stale cones and the chocolate "tasted off". The 10-year old in the group was disappointed with her cone. It's hard to make a 10 year old not like an ice cream cone. This isn't the first time we've had issues with this place. I thought it was a fluke or a bad day for the server. Tonight confirmed that it's not a fluke. Needless to say, the boating tradition is broken. We won't be back, after years of loyal service

I had been wanting to try Kingburger for years, but every time we were in the area, we were always just passing by and had to get to where we were going on a specific schedule. This past weekend we had some time and stopped on the way home. My husband and I each got a King Cheeseburger and split a large poutine. The King Burger has two beef patties, triple bun, Kingburger sauce, and fried onions. The cheeseburger just adds cheese. The patties were real, homemade beef patties. They weren't too thick or dense and were juicy. The cheese was real cheese slices and not Kraft singles. The fried onions were good, not too many and not overwhelming. The Kingburger sauce seemed mostly like a mix of ketchup and mustard and there was far too much for me - I would've liked to taste the beef more because it was really great! I was also hoping to give more burger to our little kiddo without the sauce or just minimal. The buns were nothing special, but were fresh, soft, and helped soak up the sauce. In fairness, I like light sauce, whereas my husband likes everything super saucy and he really enjoyed it. All in all, it's definitely a good burger and I might try the Super Burger next time, which also comes with back bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and subs fried onions for raw. The poutine, unfortunately, did not the have cheese curds I was craving, but the gravy was very tasty and the fries were so perfectly crispy. As a big cheese lover, dare I say that I might just order fries and gravy next time. The portion was pretty big, too. Super affordable, weekday specials, and fast and friendly service. Love a small, local, family-owned restaurant that's been around for ages. There's a patio to the side and parking, but no indoor seating and truly a drive-thru with a drive-in theatre restaurant vibe. I'll need to try one of their many milkshakes next time.
