I ordered a hot fudge Sundae, no nuts and no cherry (please) with hard ice cream. An older gentleman was serving. He made a joke, "no whipped cream too?". I laughed an said "lots of whipped cream please". He then proceeded to make a sundae with alot of nuts. I gently reminded him for no nuts. He then hands me a sundae with virtually no fudge and with a cherry. I request more fudge and no cherry. Pictured is the final product. This constitues a hot fudge sundae at Scoops There were 6 others with me. atleast two complained of stale cones and the chocolate "tasted off". The 10-year old in the group was disappointed with her cone. It's hard to make a 10 year old not like an ice cream cone. This isn't the first time we've had issues with this place. I thought it was a fluke or a bad day for the server. Tonight confirmed that it's not a fluke. Needless to say, the boating tradition is broken. We won't be back, after years of loyal service

One thing that was disorienting - in an effort (presumably) to keep employees cool - they've got the place sort of boarded up - it's hard to tell if they are open for business or not despite the neon sign - which I couldn't see until I looked at my photo! :-) As we sat beside the booth, we noticed other people were also confused about whether they were open or not - so not just us that are clueless. Need to ensure employees are visible from outside somehow to improve the appearance. Would I return: Yes. Would I recommend: No - I would want to go a few times and know I'm not going to get a stale cone before I'd send people there.
