No advance notice. No contingency plan. No attempt to make the situation right. This left our family completely stranded on moving day. We were required to vacate our apartment due to the end of our lease, and this company abandoned us at the last possible moment with all of our belongings packed and nowhere to turn. What was even more disappointing was the complete lack of support that followed. No alternative crews were offered. No referrals. No meaningful assistance whatsoever. We were simply told they would not be showing up. When I asked to speak with the owner, the manager, Drew, refused to connect me and stated that the owner would call me in two days. As a business owner myself, I was shocked by the lack of accountability and customer service. When your company creates an emergency for a customer, the least you can do is make yourself available and work toward a solution. Reliability is the single most important quality in a moving company, and unfortunately, this company demonstrated that they cannot be counted on when it matters most. My team consisted of Alex, the owner, who honored their 5 % discount if booked 3 weeks before moving, and my movers, Eugene and Serge. Eugene contacted me the day before to confirm & ask some questions about my contents, and he kept me informed all along as to their arrival time. All went well but it took longer than expected with only 2 men. They were careful and followed my instructions re: delicate or previously damaged furniture. I asked if they would tell me when the heavy furniture was coming inside because I wanted to put padding on the legs to protect the wooden floors. This slowed them up but it helped me because I might have forgotten about doing that later. Also, I asked them to carry many boxes to the basement, and that I appreciated so much. I was very concerned about one piece, an antique rocker that had 2 breaks in one leg. Much to my surprise, Eugene placed a reinforced bandage on the leg and I am still using it until I take it to get repaired. While packing the month before, I had forgotten where I had hid some valuable jewelry. Well, low and behold, when my bedroom was already emptied, I saw my 2 stashes of gold and silver on the window sill. When I went to Eugene, I commented that I would never have known if they had kept it, and thanked him profusely. His response, "My parents taught me right, I guess." As far as Albo's rates and overall value go....You can't put a price on this kind of integrity and work ethic. The fact that I used them twice in 2 years speaks for itself. Packing for a move is one of the worst stresses in life.
