I had an altercation in traffic with one of their employees. I was super distraught and shaken up after the incident. I reached out to the company, initially, and by 2pm the same day, they were able to get a hold of me. I felt very accommodated and taken care of sincerely, even though I am not an actual client. They listened to my concerns and got me in touch with the person in the incident, as well as relaying the situation to the supervisor. The employee in the incident, with me, was very apologetic and accountable. In a society where accountability and responsibility seems rare, they took care of me and made sure I was left satisfied, cared for, and I felt reassurance, safe, and most importantly I felt valued. I am grateful for their employee who came forward and was genuinely and sincerely apologetic and I am incredibly appreciative of the secretary and supervisor for their assistance in mediating the situation. I wanted to note that I was not a paying or even potential client. I'm just a normal person who had an incident with one of their employees, and they did more than their part to make sure I was taken care of and leave me feeling worthy and value. If this is how they treat people, then I can imagine that they treat clients with the absolute and utmost respect and care. If I ever need landscaping services, or if I have people in my circles and connections who need it, i will be referring Murakami Landscaping because of how incredibly professional, accountable, and respectful they were. I give them a 5/5 for upholding a very professional and proper business reputation, and a 10/10 for their communication and respect. read more

On November 8th, when I tried to get a quote for some yard work from a handful of Yelp businesses, Murakami was the first to respond and they seemed earnest/excited to do the job. The following week, having not heard back, I sent pictures and asked again if they might be able to provide a quote. After some back and forth, they said they'd get back to me the week of November 24th. It's now December 8th, and I never got my quote or a message back. The person Sarah I was speaking with explain everything and replied and communicated well going back and forth. After couple hours she got a estimate base on pictures and was able to come the next day. I am pleased in how fast they booked me. Today Cyrus had very well manners explain and understood what I was looking at snd how I wanted my yard he listened well. He was alone & work at his own pace and I am very pleased. The team from Murakami Landscaping did a great job of clearing our overgrown yard. The hillside between our house and the neighbors was crammed with trees that reach as high as our roof. The lower side yard was almost as bad--covered with vines and other growth I couldn't deal with. It looked like an overwhelming task before they started. But Cyrus and his crew worked hard, fast, and efficiently to clear the land and carry all that mess up to the street and then haul it away when they left. They also cut the regular grass, trimmed the trees, cleared out the area on the other side of the house, weeded the torch ginger, etc. They did everything I asked for and more. My husband and I love trees and flowers and ferns and orchids so we have a tendency to buy with our hearts instead of our heads. You can eventually have too much of a good growing thing. I want to thank Cyrus and his team for tackling our property which had gotten out of control during my husband's recent disability. They mowed, whacked, sawed, mulched and trimmed overgrown grass, weeds, trees and hedges then they hauled away all the rubbish. Cyrus and Scott and the rest of the guys were the answer to my prayers! I needed to clean out a house that was in my family before it was transferred and the yard was totally overgrown. I don't live in Hawaii anymore and so I was worried about managing things from afar. Cyrus was reliable in responding to my text messages and quoted me an extremely reasonable price. He took before and after pictures of the yard and it looks great! I subsequently hired the team (through their associated construction company) to help me with cleaning out the garage and the whole house. Again, the price was extremely fair and reasonable. Scott cleaned out the garage before I got here and again sent before and after pictures. Scott also helped me arrange dumpsters. When we got here, everything went super smoothly! The team was reliable, professional, kind, and efficient! Everyone had a great attitude even though the work was grueling! We cleaned out the whole house in record time and Scott gently shoo'd me away on the last day so that I could try to enjoy some of my time in Hawaii rather than helping clean out the house. I really appreciated it! I could not have done the work without Scott and Cyrus and their team! I almost hesitate to write a review because I still need them to help me with renovating a house over 2019, but they are really a gem. It's hard to find reliable people and even more so if you live on the mainland and are trying to do things long distance.
