This laundromat is vastly different from when I was here a year ago. And not in a good way. Betty Spaghetti, the manager, is still AWESOME! But the interior is kind of a mess. At least 6 washers and 9 dryers were out of order. The $6 and $7 dollar washing machines left most of my rugs and a blanket dripping wet, almost like there was no spin cycle. And all of us there tonight were having to spend way too many quarters to get our laundry dry. Apparently they recently had a major water leak along the back wall. Look at my photos to see the "before" and "after." The parking lot is still quite dark and a bit creepy at night. I hope the owners appreciate what a gem they have in Betty Spaghetti. She takes good care of their customers, while doing the laundry that's been dropped off, and cleaning things up. She deserves a better working environment! read more

We immediately walked in and the owner came right to us and helped us out we had so much laundry to do and he told us exactly how to do it and where to go and how much it costed it was the best service. Now it wasn't very busy so that's probably why he was able to help us but he seemed like the type of guy that even if it was busy he would make sure everyone got the best service they could all that being said it was amazing and we will go back again another thing to mention it was pretty damn clean in there too. read more

Clean and reasonably priced. My dryer went out had to dry clothes. Clean and clutter free dryers worked very well.

As a customer at Mur-Len Laundromat in Olathe, I recently commented to the male employee with long hair in a pony tail that I notice that the dryers switch to cool two minutes before dryer time is up, and he told me that the dryers switch to cool 14 minutes after they're on high and they stay in cool mode for 7 minutes. This somewhat confused me, because I was only commenting on what we customers can see when looking at time left on dryer, and I notice that when dryers are 2 minutes from being up, they switch to "cool" which is unusual. At most laundromats, the dryers go to cool 1 minute before time is up. I was not hostile when I made this comment, but the male employee seemed not to like it and seemed to become somewhat hostile to me. He told me that it was probably just the dryer I was on and said maybe the sensor was bad, but I used 4 different dryers and they all did this. He acted annoyed/somewhat angry when I told him this, as if he was going to tell me off if I said anything else, so I didn't. But it does seem he should be able to take honest remarks without getting angry. On another subject, before this happened, I heard him talking to a woman customer who was drying shoes in the dryer and he told her that they don't allow drying shoes in the dryer (and he knew she was doing this), but he continued to allow her to do so, even giving her quarters, for whatever reason, to continue. This was not my business but I overheard this. He obviously is overly accommodating to some customers, even allowing them to break a rule, while he was somewhat hostile to me for making a honest comment. I didn't appreciate this and if I go back, I'll never speak with him again. He is friendly with many people, but not all, and he obviously is selectively welcoming. read more

This was a busy place on a Sunday morning. The machines are old and obviously in need of replacement. There were several machines out of order and it was not clean considering there is an onsite attendant. Luckily, there was an attendant because one of the dryers didn't work, so she was able to refund my money. Although, didn't mark that dryer as out of order. read more

The older skinny guy that works here is incredibly rude and just down right mean to customers. The cleanliness was average. They have a debit machine bill changer. They don't allow you to use detergent pods so bring liquid or powder. read more

I just returned from Mur-Len Laundry. The staff manager was super helpful. The laundromat was clean. I needed to wash a very large drop clothe (too big to fit in our washer at home). I highly recommend this place. read more

Offered very rude service at the e front desk. More than half of dryers wee out of order and the prices were ridiculous for old, out-of-date washers that smell like mildew and dryers that don't get hot. read more

Laundry Marts serve a purpose when we are in need for sure. Make sure that you only wash whites in the oversized washers as users place bleach in the dispensers and they are all flushed with water at the same time during the cycle so whoever used it last may have used bleach. In my case I had darks and sadly the previous user had used bleach. I had thought that the four compartments on the top for products had individual compartments. They do not. It's all flushed out at the same time during washing and it floods through and whatever is left over from previous wash gets flushed into your cycle. Ruined a few things but so shop at thrift so no big loss on the two tops. About 12 loss. Very crowded and small inside. Nice folks tho in Kansas so it's a pleasant place to hang out because everyone there is pretty chill. read more

I came in to wash my comforter. I was greeted and welcomed. The employee at the front desk showed me which washer was best for a large comforter and then offered to wash and dry it and allow me to return later! She was so kind and I appreciate her! I only wish I could remember her name! read more

For reasons much too boring to go into I managed to let laundry accumulate to the point where I couldn't face doing it all myself! Found this place through the Yellow Pages. I took five big (and heavy) bags over to them for wash-n-fold. You can't imagine my pleasant surprise when I picked it up and found that everything seemed to be really clean and nicely folded. Even better, all the shirts and trousers were on hangers, not folded! Best of all, it was only $40 for all that laundry! I took the clothes over around 10:30 a.m. and it was all done when I picked it up at 5:00! The laundry is in a small strip mall on Mur-Len, just south of the one where the Price Chopper is located (on Santa Fe/135th St.) It's not at all fancy, but it was busy and the folks who run it were very nice and friendly. Based on this experience I can recommend the Mur-Len Laundry and would use them again! read more

I was looking for a different laundry place, met the boss on Sunday, which was odd because she doesn't work that Sunday and was with her grandson, than I met some of her staff and they are awesome, it does get busy but the atmosphere is great, she has been in business for many years, I go here all the time read more

Burned my clothes. Put four quarters in the dryer (a dryer that didn't even tell us the time of drying, we assumed 7 minutes per quarter), put the heat between medium and high, and our clothes came out SMOKING. Elastic and logos were melted in every single one of our shorts, pairs of underwear, and sports bras (Victoria's Secret and Under Armor brands) making them unwearable. One of a kind personalized pieces of clothing were RUINED that we can never get back. Black clothes turned orange as you can see. I take all of my bedding here. Comforters, Blankets, Mattress Pads, Pillows, Rugs ... They have large 60# machines to accommodate the large items. The place is pretty clean and the owner is very friendly & helpful. read more

The washing machines were expensive at $4 a load; and they didn't clean anything as all of my laundry was still dirty. the driers are a scam at $0.25 for 7 minutes (they don't dry either) and half of them were out of order. when i told the staff that was there i was told it was my error and that there was nothing that could be done. i spent $20 washing 3 loads and nothing was clean/dry to the slightest. read more

Plenty of machines, they have big ones if you have several loads. Change machine and atm here. There are some games and a soda and snack machine. Decently clean here. read more

On my first visit Beatrice helped me find the right machine for our load of laundry. Service here is really excellent, and convenient shopping (grocery) is a 4-5 minute walk away. Great service would recommend this to anyone. read more
