Had a shower door & panel, along with multiple mirrors installed. Great job by the installers & price was fair..

Buyer Beware! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. You have been warned. Had three shower redone with glass and paid double for the film on the glass so it wouldn't spot. Third day used shower and spots. Not to mention the first day I contacted the owner Sam to let him know the trim he installed to hold the glass was not fitting properly and separated and the edges were sharp. Sharp enough it cut my hand. His response was too bad I paid him. I told him I wanted to file against the spotting on the warranty and his response was too bad. You probably used a cleaner that removed the film. Funny thing is I never used the cleaner at day three and the only cleaner in my house is the approved cleaner, Spray Away! This guy is corrupt and has an excuse for everything. Just read all the reviews. Do your homework. I have three showers that are crap and I paid a lot of money for them. Please don't be scammed by this man. read more

Had them install a replacement sliding glass door. First door was ordered incorrectly so needed to wait for the correct one to arrive. The door itself is fine, but the install is shoddy. They did not replace the 20 year old rain gutter from the original door. The new door leaks. They have not responded to calls to come fix the leak. The caulk work outside is messy and looks bad. The new screen door had a tear already upon install. Sam didn't remember how much of a deposit we had paid and I had to find the paperwork to calculate the balance. All in all, not what I'd expect from a professional glass company and now I have a leak I need to contend with which I never had with the original door. read more

Had vanity mirror installed. Horrible workmanship. Called back, said they would come and fix. No show. No call. No response. Called and verified the day before. Chrome piece that mirror set into no spacers and drilled through front part of chrome. Looks like mirror is broken. read more

Sam, the owner of Munster glass poorly communicated with me and my mother, ordered the incorrect block window and installed it in my mother's home without mentioning that the item was not what I asked for or paid for. Before returning to Ca I wanted to have my moms basement window replaced. I called Munster Glass and spoke with Sam. He asked me if the window had a vent, I said no. He told me to text him the address of my mother's home and he would be by that day to measure the window and quote me a price. He never came by that day. Red flag number 1. I followed up the following day and he said he would send someone by to measure the window that day and would call me back with a price. He called me later and told me that he would order the window that day (Tuesday) and install it the following Tuesday and that the price would be $400 and that I could pay half then and the remaining half when he installed the window, or I could pay him in total right then if I trusted him. I chose to pay him half. I called Sam the following Tuesday to make sure he was going to be installing the window that day. He seemed to not know who I was but said he was supposed to get a shipment in that day at 11am and the window should be in that shipment and he would call me back. At 2pm I called him for an update he remained unfamiliar with our past communication. I reminded him of our conversation the previous Tuesday and referenced our text thread. He asked me for the address again and said he would stop by to jog his memory because he could not find the paper he wrote the information on. He called me back and said he remembered and that he called the company putting the blocked window together and was told it would not be ready until the following day and to pick it up then (Wed). He said he would install it on Wed but he didn't know what time and would call before he came. I gave him my mom's # because I returned to Ca and had to work. My mom told me he called and said he was calling to set up an appointment for Thursday. She told him that he was supposed to be setting up and appointment for Wed. He told her that "something happened with the glass blocks" so he would pick up the assembled blocks Thur morning and come install and he would call before he came. My mom (who is a senior and who recently had a knee replacement) woke up Thursday morning to the doorbell ringing. Sam did not call before he came and she managed to maneuver the stairs and let him in the basement. He installed the window and she paid him the remainder. She took a picture of the window and sent it to me and I noticed there was a vent in the window. I called Sam and ask him why there was a vent in the window, I reminded him that he asked if the window I wanted replaced had a vent and I told him no. He told me that the company who assembled the window, assembled it wrong, so he just picked up like that. I asked him why he didn't communicate that to me before "picking it up like" or before installing something I did not order. He would not answer and hung up on me. Please beware of Sam and the Munster Glass business. I Take responsibility for rushing to try and get my mother a new window before returning to Ca and not reading these reviews. Had I read them, I would never had called him. I only called him because I called a company but they did not provide the service I needed. However, their business was next door to Sam's and they recommended him, probably as a friendly neighbor and not one who has done business with him. read more

I would not trust Munster Glass. We ordered a window that we were told would take 10 days to get in. At 3 weeks I called and was told it just came in. I paid half up front. They came to install the window which I was told would take 3 hours. The owner Sam came at what I thought was towards the end of the job for final payment. Soon after the men installing said they needed to leave for lunch and to get more supplies and would be back in an hour. 3 hours later I called and was told they had to do another job and would return later. At this point my check had been cashed. I made it very clear they needed to be back first thing in the morning. They did show up and the window is in but the finish work is not great. read more

We needed a large bathroom mirror installed they came measured so far so good. When they came to installed it they huffed and puffed about baby gates being up and it was going to make it difficult however 2 large bathroom vanities were brought in with NO problem by our contractors. So they also huffed be puffed about light fixtures being in the way and they taped them to the ceiling with tape the left a residue on the light fixtures and by scraped up the ceiling and side wall. When I went to go see their work there was glue left in a part of the mirror you can see! Jeez talk about sloppy work and when I called to complain the manager was a jerk. I was alone when they came with my toddler so I couldn't really see what they were doing until they left so basically it's my fault because I signed off on the job! Oh...and they didn't carry change he. I paid in cash so they ended up with an extra $10 so the manager even said I must have been ok with it b cause I tipped them. SHADY!!!! Not professional. When you supposedly fixed doors the first time you installed one piece of mirror with bevel on top and bottom and the two end pieces with bevel on top and both sides but Not on bottom and then had one of those bevels on top and one on bottom! If you think this was how it was supposed to look you would never have been able to fix it anyway! When you gave it back to me like that I knew you would never stand behind your work anyway you did not call me when you were supposed to and I DID NOT chip the mirrors your guys kicked them around the shop for 4 days before you had me come in to talk to you. Also when I talked to you on phone you said mirrors would be ready when I came in Monday Not that you wanted to talk to me! read more

Horrible experience on a very important job. Bad service, late and don't show up. Wait for hours for workers to show. Rude. Bad workmanship. Used products. Wrong color latches and knobs and frames not bent correctly. Terrible to work with. Go elsewhere. Beware! Months overdue. The owner is a joke of a businessman. Horrible experience! Do not trust Munster Glass! The owner is a terrible business man! He can't be trusted! He delivered my outdoor table back to me and put it in the backyard. I pulled in the driveway the same time he was pulling out. He said, your table is in the backyard and I just need your signature. While he was still sitting in the truck I signed for him and thanked him. After he pulled out I went in the backyard to see it. It was clear glass not the frosted etched glass I ordered when he was out to see the project. I immediately called him (the owner) to tell him of the error. He said he would have to check the order and he would call me back. He did not call me the rest of the day. I called him the next day and reminded him, of his promise to call me. He said he checked the order and it was ordered correctly and there was nothing he could do about it. I told him if he ordered it wrong, he now needed to order it correctly and get it replaced. He said no it was correct and hung up on me! I paid him at the time of the order and trusted that he was a trustworthy business man. Sam the owner came and gave me an estimate to fix the seal in 8 windows that had moisture in them. I showed him two windows that had been repaired prior with the same problem. Instead of repairing the seal, he delivered 8 pains of glass and tried to tell me that the "film" between the Windows was causing the foggy appearance. I made him correct the problem. Then he came back asking for final payment before the job was done. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Do NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

I am totally dissatisfied (as a customer) with Sam and Munster Glass. In late August I called this joke of a company, based on a friends' recommendation. Sam came out and measured and said it would take 2-3 weeks for the 'frameless glass door & side panel' to come in. I put 1/2 money down. On September 14th, he sent his crew out to install the shower door on the same day I left for vacation, and I'd left a check for the balance. After installation, my wife didn't like what she saw, so for 2 weeks she used a different shower. Upon my return, I noticed a large disparity in alignment and called Sam. He sent his guys out again...they tweaked the adjustment screws, but fixed nothing. I've called Sam 3 times and asked for satisfaction. My friend, who recommended him to me did the same. NOTHING! NADA! ZERO! This guy will be answering to my attorney and/or the Better Business Bureau, soon. I can't even close the shower door because it rubs against the stationary glass to the point I think it could crack or break. Stay away from this sham of a glass company! Be warned... read more
