Repositioned door latch connection to function.
Samuel T.

Brought my 1973 BMW 2002 in to Munich Motorworks a few times. First time was for a consult on the doors. Second time was due to car not getting out of 1st gear without stalling; had to tow it that time. Had them take care of a minor engine wiring issue causing stalling. Then they got my passenger door to a temporary functional level while they tracked down parts to complete a full repair. Passenger side door was rusted shut, frozen, they got it opened. I brought it in a third time they fixed and/or replaced the window regulators that were problematic as well as the window gaskets. They repaired, replaced, and removed the rust on the door and door latch mechanism for my passenger side door. They did other work like installing door check straps. Their pricing is absolutely beyond reasonable for work on a classic car. They did excellent work and Darby kept me informed on the progress (mainly waiting on parts from suppliers). I'll be going back to Munich Motorworks for any future issues, which I'm sure will arise with a 49 year old car. I can't recommend them enough. Ask for Darby or Joseph. Joseph was great in offering advice and insight on helping me determine next steps in my classic car's restoration process. Really amazing crew working at Munich Motorworks.

Munich Motorworks exceeds my expectations with their thoughtful and thorough care of my 2001 325 I. I recently came away from the dealership with a list of red flagged repairs needed after a factory recalled airbag inspection. I felt less than comfortable with the report and safety of my car. I immediately took the report and my car to Joseph and he made short work of what was really needed and what was not needed. I cannot recommend Munich Motorworks enough!

Road trip following the transaction from hell. Notice the temp tag and refer to review for the story regarding titling.

Body Control Module failed on our 2002 Buick Rendezvous. I had been able to reset it 4-5 times over…read morea 2 year period having done research on methods. Short version. After my brake man unhooked the battery to replace the oil pressure sensor the BCM permanently cooked. All it takes is one solder piece on one of the 2 flow soldered boards within this $189 AC Delco henco en Mexico BCM. Another short version of a long story. Suffice to say said cooked solder piece can be fixed if you can see and don't shake. GEORGE; owner of Burnside Auto Repair is an honest and fair proprietor who also has integrity. I paid a fair price for a real pain in the backside job. To see what I mean go to You Tube. I have no reservations whatsoever about taking the Buick to George in the future. The last thing anyone should do is take their car no longer under warranty to a dealership. One PDX area dealership wanted to charge me $331 for the $189 BCM. BTW- "Just Answer.com" provided a Buick/GM expert who charged $24 to confirm what I already knew. The expert did provide the flat rate manual labor for r&r of the BCM at 1 1/2 hours. The Buick expert had the exact same problem happened to him and it only cost him around $500. BUT HE DOESN'T LIVE IN PORTLAND. We have to consider George's rent and property taxes when it comes to keeping the doors open.

George has always done an amazing g job gets you in right away. Good service, good prices. Friendly.read more
