He gave me the name of several places around Buffalo and this one happened to be the closest and most convenient for me to get to. When I walked in I was greeted right away by a man behind the meat counter. I told him what I needed, bone-in skin-on chicken thighs for deep frying, and he got my order together as I shopped for falafel mix, garbanzo beans, and a jar of some roasted red peppers. I looked around and they had many other things I'd like to go back for another time. My order was waiting for me at the register when I was ready. The meat was fresh, and the price was right. And my friend enjoyed the food I made for him. It was a win-win. Thank you, IHM! I'll be back soon :)

They're Grandma's Perogies brand which are made right here. I bought the cheese and potato pierogies and the Ukrainian pelmeni, which both tasted great! Compared to other eastern European stores in the area, they have a smaller selection, but carry some different items than what I've seen elsewhere. But overall I'd recommend the store if you enjoy Eastern European goods!

Now as much as I love buffets for what they are, I have never seen one for Indian food so of course I was elated. BUT, what I didn't like (and maybe this is the reason they get 3 stars), was that I did notice that the same paper plates were used every time someone would go up to serve themselves another plate. I did ask and the waiter did say I could use the same plate, but working for the Health Department, I quickly let him know, "I would rather use a new plate thank you". He did let me do that, but by than my appetite starting changing since I am really funny with people touching the utensils to their plates. After paying, I discovered that only one of the tables was in use, and then only a fairly small selection of foods, and that mediocre at best. I think you are meant to mistakenly believe that the selection is much larger than it is. For $12.99 for lunch at other Indian restaurants (in Corning for example) I have found a much wider selection of dishes that were much tastier and I did not have to eat off of cheap paper plates. It is clear that this place does not expect you to ever come back again, and their food and ambiance shows it.

In addition to the crumpets, we ordered beef & onion pies, steak pies, chicken korma pies and slices; even Cornish pasties. They were all delicious and just as I imagined they would be. The pies had buttery, flakey puff pastry crusts with rich, flavorful fillings. (if I have any complaint at all, it's that the heating instructions are quite small and sometimes hard to read, especially if the ink blurs due to moisture when frozen.) As soon as I ordered, I realized, no one would be home on the dates it would arrive so I sent Parker's an email. Within an hour or two, I heard back from Jessica who had already rescheduled our shipment for a week later as requested. The package arrived right on time in perfect condition, packed in dry chill packs. Great customer service! You have to try these folks. We will be placing a new order soon.
