If you think of the latter as being all the yummy Filipino donuts, it may help. However, I ended up getting cantaloupe bubble tea and a grab-and-heat-up-later pinoy hot dog in a bun. I still can't tell which part of the business those items are a part of. Maybe that's the point. You aren't supposed to tell. It's supposed to be a seamless experience. There is parking behind this store. I made a right turn on Ranee Avenue, followed by a quick right turn to access the parking lot. I got there just before 5 pm on a weekday. This lot was busy. I nabbed the only spot available, which was tight. I backed into it fine and walked in. There are Filipino snacks, such as chicharron and candy bars, that made me happy. I would have bought the former, except that it was salt and vinegar. I was in a garlic mood. My other weakness snackwise is prawn crackers. This place has Oishi. I can devour a bag easily. If you want bottled drinks or Tylenol, you can get them all at this store. All fish varieties and forms are available, which isn't a shock to me, but the selection is amazing. From dried whole fish, to cans of tuna and sardines, you are completely covered. Filipino spaghetti is my favourite. I saw a package of Filipino-style spaghetti sauce, which made me smile. The sauce is more on the sweeter side. It was nice to know that when I'm ready to make my own that I can and not completely butcher it. It's your one-stop place for Filipino groceries, snacks, food, and drinks. I met Kenneth and Fatima, the owners behind this store. They were super nice and kind. Fatima offered to heat up my hot dog, but I wanted it for later. I wanted the cantaloupe bubble tea. It seemed different. I got 30% sweetness, which is not my usual drink order. I felt that I needed something sweeter this day. She made my bubble tea with came with boba. It was refreshing and yummy. It was the perfect drink driving home. I was a bit skeptical that it wouldn't be yummy when I saw it in powder form. However, it dissolved perfectly and was smooth. The boba was chewy and enjoyable. I paid with a debit card. My transaction was seamless. I had the pinoy hot dog in a bun for breakfast the following day. I heated it up and it was delicious. The bun was soft and perfect. The hot dog was plump and yummy. The cheese on top sealed the deal. There was a hint of mustard with each bite. Yummy! This place is on Ritual. Next time, I'll need to place an order through it. FK Dulce and Tropa are listed together on this app, so it's almost as if the listing should be mashed together on Yelp for these two places, too. They are that tightly knit. (154)

The store is located in a mostly Filipino neighbourhood. Tropa is slang Filipino or Spanish for friend/pal. There are your typical chips, Pocky Sticks, salted peanuts, cupa-soup, refrigerated drinks, toothpaste, soap bars, and Tylenol. But then there are mamon (little sponge cakes), ensaymada, Ube Cream Cheese cake slices, sauces, Toyomansi (soy sauce with lime), Milo drink powder, etc. The staff are very cheerful and helpful. During pandemic times, staff wear masks, there are plexiglass, and there are 2 hand sanitizer bottles. You can pay by cash, credit card, or digital. You can also order via food delivery apps. Inside the store is another business called FK Dulce Bakery selling Filipino baked goods. Both businesses are owned by the same owner. Give the baked goods a try, especially the Filipino donuts! There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible but there is no door-open button. There are no customer washrooms. There is free parking in the rear in their own private parking lot. For the Gluten Free among you - not a great selection, but that's not their fault - Dutch GF goods don't tend to be exported en masse. But they DO have Stroepwafel in GF. And lastly - the chatchkes. Oh boy, the chatchkes. The "Opa's Little Favourite" onesies. The NL stickers for your car. The Delft salt & pepper shakers. The clog-shaped fridge magnets! The plethora of orange! The owner's an odd fellow with a mildly disturbing sense of humour, but on the plus side, he can take it as well as he dishes it out. What an amazing gem for plant lovers in downtown Toronto area!…read more This is a neighbourhood store that sells grocery and fresh produce but come spring and summer, it transforms into an additional local plant hubs. The selection of houseplants here is great and the prices are very reasonable. The staff in the Garden Centre - Angela & Crystal are very friendly and knowledgeable. It's so convenient to pick up food essentials and at the same time buy something for your plant addiction in one quick trip. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Okay, it's nowhere close to what real pho is, but they're not bad! It's like Ramen noodle bowls but pho. I added some thinly sliced beef, white and green onions and a bit of oil and it was actually really good. If you're looking for a snack in a pinch, this could be it. And it's $1.50! As for what else they carry: Asian style cuts of beef, chicken and pork are available along with some western items and fresh veggies and fruit, plus the always important HiChew! It's wax and sugar but delicious. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Check it out!

They have a beautiful assortment of baklava and offer to roast on the premises coffee as well as nuts. The store keeper let us sample before buying. I picked up some brazil nuts for a pretty good price. I also picked up a flavourful zatar blend. They sell zatar leaves, which is something that I have never seen in a grocery store. There are probably quite a few things that you wouldn't find in most stores. I look forward to trying their baklava next time.

But this time I went in. It is a medium-sized grocery store but large for an Asian one. The store is clean. The many shelves are fully and neatly stocked. They have all the typical Chinese products plus a few western products. They also have Japanese and Korean products. Prices are ok, some lower, some higher. It took me a while before I noticed there is a refrigerated room with seafood and meats, at the back of the store. Some seafood is available fresh/live while others (like shrimp) are stocked on ice with shells on them. The various meats are cut/sliced. There are some frozen products there too. If you are buying less than $30, you have to pay by cash. If you are buying more than $30, you can use a credit card.

They had the sapote fruit which was a little bit expensive at $10. But I guess it takes a lot too import. They also have some fresh juices like hibiscus, and lime. Unfortunately there is no street parking. The closest parking is by the alcohol store if you can sneak a parking there. My number one reason for coming here was the queso Ruffles. I have never tasted a chip flavour better than this one. If you have never had it, change your life today and go get a bag though its over $5 for a bag, but it's a rare find in Canada so definitely go get it and impress your friends by sharing ONE chip. Just the one, because you will want to keep the rest! And then you can tell them about the gym of a store where you got it. I also recommend the Ibarra hot cocoa tablet. It's really easy to use and they're individually packaged inside for you to use at any time. It's really sweet though. Melt the tablet in a little pot of hot water. After, add milk or cream and some ground cinnamon and Nutmeg. It will be a spectacular treat!!! Ive also put it in the fridge and sipped it later as a cold drink. If you add some instant coffee, it will be Super Fly!! You are welcome! I also recommend getting a little pack of chamoy. They have different flavours. Check this place out!
