My intention with this review is to warn others. Please take my words and Angela's response into consideration: (Side note: kit was lovely) My biggest complaint is that it's crooked. I didn't notice until after, Angela put it on while I was sitting then immediately turned around and started her machine - but it's on my body forever, it's upsetting that an "experienced" artist didn't notice or offer to fix the stencil. Though overall an uncomfortable costumer service experience and i will not be returning for that main reason. Unprofessional. I tried to be nice and just agreed with her retarded statements, but talking about drugs and her alcohol problem, and some hot takes about wanting her child to be abused to be put in place - the WHOLE time and only wanting to vent to me about personal problems - that made me uncomfortable. Angela was careless and egotistical. After reading mixed reviews I was nervous to come in, the reviews were right though. I would absolutely never recommend such a disrespectful person. Through multiple points of the tattoo I should have just left, but I wanted it done and to not put up a fuss, I should have. The tattoo overall looks shit, I'm going to have to have a more experience artist touch it up. I'll now need to add to it to hopefully lessen how crooked it looks. her disrespectful response shows exactly what kind of insecure and shitty person she is. Such a disrespectful fake person. Well i have been fortunate enough to get laced up in just about every state on the east coast. So I have spent a lot of time in tatt parlors, that being said mums is the first experience I've had here on the west side. This is going to be my place of pain and art. The owner and her current staff that I have met was nothing more than helpful, kind and a pleasure to be around. I had the honor of getting inked by Angela and she took my idea and made it a sweet mark of art. One thing I am very happy about is her standard of health code, she is very strict on following the guidelines, which in turn should tell you that this is a great shop. I do have to say tho to all you haters out there.... wake up, stop being self entitled pompous P.O.S., y'all always have a opinion without knowing the facts. The tatt industry is complicated and on a daily basis things change. All said and done if you want great work for a decent price and from a shop that cares that you do not get a disease then mums is the place hands down. read more

I have been to the so-called 'clean and friendly' shop 3 times before getting any work done. I originally wanted Holly to do my work and was urged by Angela to let her do it and after I said I wanted Holly to do it, Angela became very hostile and wouldn't talk to me anymore. I came back a week later and decided on having Jake tattooe because he did a great job on my friend and Angela said she would do it instead. After she convinced me that she would do a much bettwr job, I agreed. About halfway through my tattoo, she DROPPED her machine while working on me as Christian music was blasting. She never even changed her gloves or needle and I didnt know any better until after talking to my doctor after I broke out with a MRSA staph infection. My tattoo is horrible and I wish I would have never listened to Angela, let alone let her tattoo me while preaching, not adhering to state health guidelines, and being so BAD at art. I have to live with this for the rest of my life!!!! read more

I absolutely love this place. I have had several tattoos by the owner Angela herself. The color work she does is amazing and holds up over the years. My tattoos seriously look like they were just done yesterday. Angela is accommodating to she has stayed late and worked to finish work. I have nothing but great things to say about her. Angela at Mum's Tattoo is friendly and you can trust that she will be fair about her prices. In fact many times she had dropped her rate down to 100$ an hour when she posts that she charges 130$ an hour. It seems like the more I go to her the better the rate is. She is fun to talk to and Amazing artist. Seriously what more can you ask for in an artist. The shop is always clean to I feel safe to get work done in the cozy clean atmosphere. read more

When I returned to get my free ink, he did the most sloppy fast job he could and I could smell alcohol on him. Later I met Angela and she fixed my ink. I didn't think it could ever look right but She made my bracelet ink gorgeous. Angela also showed me her art to cover scars and create nipples for women that had faced breast cancer. She is amazing. I have gotten tattooed by Angela many times. I love the work that she has done on me. Her work and the color has held up super well over the years. She is always polite and accommodating and will even stay late to get me and friends or family in last minute. Her shop is clean and cozy. I would recommend Mum's Tattoo to anyone looking for any type of work. Also over the years I have seen many talented artists at her shop. She is sure to always hire quality artists who are professional and talented. I particularly like Chris Johnson's work as well, I am considering getting something done form him soon. The Best!!! Followed the Covid safely rules to perfection!! Angela is not only extremely talented but also caring, kind and hilarious. I drove a LONG way to get this tattoo, and it was worth every hour of it. My tattoo is absolutely perfect, even better then I thought it would be. I will only go to Angela for more work, and already designing my next one. I had mine done on the top of my foot, I knew it was going to be painful, but she talked to me the whole time, she had me laughing and before I knew it, she was done!!! My sister and I were in town for the weekend and decided we wanted to get tattoos! We saw that Mum's Tattoo had great reviews so we decided to go. Their customer service was awesome, they answered the phone and had a great conversation when we were there. They accept walk-ins and we waited for a little while because there were a couple people ahead of us. Angela and Ash did a great job! After the owner not remembering she had an appointment with me. I was there for a half hour while she took out the trash, etc. Then charged me $80 for a 3 word tattoo that took 6 mins!!! She didn't even have to draw anything... just found a font on the computer. Save your money.. don't go there :/ hate to have to say it! I went there 2 years ago and got an amazing tattoo from one of the employees that worked there. That is why I went back. Found out she is no longer there. How is it that in business purely about custumer service and workmanship, that one would not care about repeat business. When you do work and tell someone to come back in a few weeks to get it touched up, then you try to charge them for the touch up and state that you don't guarentee your work. Well touche you get your wish now off to a different studio to fix your screw up. Thanks Angela you were just a peach good business ethic! Angela did my first tattoo and was nothing short of amazing. She was very helpful and the experience was way less painful because she talked and laughed with me and made it an overall enjoyable experience. She was very generous and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. She was professional but fun, and my tattoo turned out perfect. I was lucky enough to run into Angela when she was in California. She did a wicked awesome Grimm Reaper tattoo on my entire back. I loved the work so much that I went back to get another peace done on my left arm. Then another peace on my right arm and then another peace on my chest. But she only comes to bend to Angela to get her tattoos. She does such a good job the color hasent faded at all and its been years. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop, her professional approach and her honesty on what to expect with my cover up. I found Angela to be very caring and kind and professional. My back was hurting really bad and she was very understanding of that. At one point i got really light headed, and she sensed it and asked if i was getting lighted headed and i said yes so we stopped for a bit which was very considerate. Called an hour before a walk in and came in and got a tattoo from Angela the owner, wasn't sure what I wanted and she helped me pick out a design she had already made and kept up a good conversation during the tattoo process!
