I was told upfront they were busier than normal and that it could take up to an hour and a half to see a doctor but was seen by the preliminary nurse within 20 minutes and given a private room as soon as one opened up. I ended up waiting another 40 minutes but could tell everyone was doing their best, they even let me know they were bringing in a second doctor to help out. The facility is clean, bright, and modern, and I was pleasantly surprised with their magazine options in both the waiting room and patient rooms. When Dr. Connelly came in and took the time to listen to my concerns and do more than the cursory "ok here's a prescription for antibiotics" it made the wait more than worthwhile. He checked out my sinuses, listened to my lungs, and did a thorough exam for which I was thankful. He agreed with my self-diagnoses of a sinus infection (I get them once or twice a year) and talked through my options with me as I'm supposed to fly tomorrow. He even took the time to fill out a form to give to the airline to help me get a refund for my flight. All in all, besides the fact the green Mucinex dudes are partying in my face, it was a great experience - I hope I won't need to be back anytime soon but they'll be top of my list if I do!

After 30 mins, we did got to a room, but no provider came to see for an hr. When asked, we were told provider would come to you as soon as he is available, felt lucky we weren't told "Provider is finishing a movie at Bella Bottega" nearby. Waited for another 15 mins and left the place, never to come back ever.

I went to Swedish Redmond Urgent Care today because it was at the top of a short list of places…read morethat my doctor recommended for me to go to get the XRay and the blood tests that he wanted me to get done. The receptionist in imaging was very nice. The XRay technician, Sean, was personable, and he told me a few interesting tidbits about the XRay machine in addition to giving me the instructions as to how I needed to stand for the XRays to be taken. I was in and out of Imaging in about 10 minutes, and it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience. The lobby was nice too. Next, I was checked in to the Lab by Austin, who has a great sense of humor. He had me laughing so hard I told him that he should do stand up comedy! He told me that he actually does want to do stand up comedy, and that his friends have already come up with a possible name for his Netflix show if he ever gets one! I hope he does get a Netflix show, I would definitely watch it! His comic timing was spot on. I shot back some jokes and I made him laugh too, and he said I was hilarious. Austin tried drawing my blood, but he wasn't able to find a good vein at first. This happens a lot for blood draws for me. I do drink a lot of water, but my veins are not easy to find for most people who draw my blood. Austin decided to draw blood from my hand instead of my arm, which was a good call because he was able to locate a suitable vein in my hand for the second attempt at drawing my blood, and he started to get the blood draw going... but then the needle (it's a smaller needle that he used for the hand than the needle that he would have used for the arm) popped out of my hand before he could draw enough blood to do the tests, and my blood spurted all over my fingers, my hand, and my forearm. I can't stand to see blood (mine or anyone else's), and I look away even for a normal blood draw, so I was mildly horrified when I saw the blood all over my fingers, my hand, and my forearm. Austin apologized for this. I accepted his apology. I feel like it could have happened to anyone. Austin called Daryl over to try to do the third attempt at my blood draw. Daryl was also unable to find a suitable vein. Daryl had a great sense of humor, too, and he ribbed Austin playfully and made both Austin and I laugh. Daryl also complimented my jade rings that I wear every day on my left hand now, and Daryl happened to be wearing a jade ring as well! I shared with Daryl that my new nickname this year is Jade. Daryl inserted the needle into my arm, but he was unable to get any blood from the place that he inserted the needle. Austin told me that they weren't going to try more than 3 times today. He said that they can usually get enough blood on the first try, and occasionally they need a second try, but the third try was the final try for today and they would not try more than 3 times in one sitting. It has frequently taken people 2 tries to draw my blood in the past, but I've never needed a third attempt until today, and I've never had an overall unsuccessful blood draw until today, either. Austin and Daryl were so kind to me, though. Both guys were upfront about my veins being hard to find, but I never felt blamed or shamed in any way. Austin kept telling me that I was doing "outstanding" even though I was growing a bit nervous and worried after the two unsuccessful blood draws and was fervently hoping that the guys would be able to successfully draw enough blood from me the third time, for the tests that need to be done. Both guys had used several techniques to try to get my blood flowing more to my arms and hands, including having me clench and unclench my fists, using the tourniquet, and even using a hot compress on the areas that they wanted to draw blood from. Unfortunately none of these techniques ended up being very effective. I really feel like both guys did everything that they could to try to get the blood that they needed, and it wasn't totally their fault that they weren't able to get it. My veins are hard to work with. I'm kind of bummed that I still need to get my blood drawn again another day soon, though. I thought I'd be good to go after today. Austin painstakingly cleaned off all of the blood from my fingers, hand, and forearm after the second needle had popped out of my hand and my blood had spurted all over those areas. He used several packets of alcohol wipes to do this, and he was very thorough and he got every last drop of splattered blood off of me. Then he carefully bandaged my hand. Although I'm bummed that I still need to get my blood drawn again, overall I felt very cared for by every staff member at Swedish Redmond Urgent Care that I interacted with today, and interacting with each and every one of them was a very good experience for me. Also, I don't think I've ever laughed that hard at a hospital before in my entire life. I wish Austin all the best if he does make it as a stand up comedian. He would rock it!

The staff was super helpful when they took my call beforehand to explain how long the visit would take so I could plan my work schedule around it. I loved that the urgent care was in the same building as all of the other speciality providers, so they can all see you as part of the same appointment. Would definitely recommend!

My medical assistant, Kim, was incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable before seeing Dr. Boone. Dr. Boone was calm, attentive, and never made me feel rushed. By the time I left, my blood pressure had even come down! It's amazing what a little patience, compassion, and good bedside manner can do. I'm so happy I found my place! They're still a small clinic, but give it time--I see big things ahead for this place! Everyone, from the pretty blonde lady at the front desk to the medical assistant who brought me back, was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The young lady in the lab was just as kind and courteous. Based on my experience, this is genuinely a top-notch clinic, and I think the staff deserve recognition for that! Now, regarding the complaints about billing, I think it's important to understand that the cost of a visit and the quality of care you receive are two separate issues. My bill was consistent with what I expected because I had not yet met my deductible. That is part of how my insurance plan works. And while the clinic currently accepts Premera insurance, that certainly doesn't mean every patient has the same coverage or benefits. Employers select different plans, and those plans can have very different deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket costs. I absolutely believe billing concerns should be addressed when something doesn't look right. However, before assuming a clinic is overcharging, it makes sense to review your explanation of benefits and contact your insurance company to understand how the charges were processed. Sometimes the issue isn't the clinic at all, but the details of the insurance plan. We can acknowledge billing frustrations without dismissing the people providing excellent care. Both things can be true: someone may have a concern about their bill, and the clinic staff may still be doing an outstanding job. Personally, I was treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism from the moment I walked in. I left feeling cared for, and that matters. While everyone is certainly entitled to share their experiences, I think it's equally important to share the positive ones. The staff at this clinic made a wonderful impression on me, and they deserve just as much recognition as any criticism being posted. Credit where credit is due! My experience was excellent, and I have absolutely no problem saying so. M

My daughter became very anxious, and instead of slowing down or reassuring her, the nurse was impatient, curt, and visibly irritated that she couldn't calm down. She then said the machine was being repaired but she'd see if she'd collected enough sample. A second nurse then came in to do the strep test again and seemed confused that we were waiting for results. She was even worse: condescending, dismissive of my daughter's distress, and impatient. The doctor was fine and took flu and COVID swabs, but no one ever called with results. I had to call 48 hours later to learn everything was negative. We both left close to tears. Patients with anxiety or trauma deserve patience and basic compassion. We won't be returning.

The employees are very kind and welcoming. The room is similar to a hotel room, with the exception of a camera watching you (above tv). I thought that would freak me out more than it actually did honestly. The bed is very comfortable - it's actually a sleep number bed! All the wires are uncomfortable, but that's to be expected. You also have to sleep on your back - at least try to! ;) I don't love all of the gunk stuck in my hair, but thankfully it should wash out easily. I'm home now and I have to say this was an overall great experience. I really appreciate the employee that worked with me. I didn't catch her name, but she is awesome. We had some really great conversations.

The sleep test I did is the worst experience. Before the sleep test, there were already two rounds…read moreof charged "visits" (virtual). One is with my physician in Swedish. The other one is with the physician (Morris Chang) in Swedish sleep medicine. Those two sessions are very simple question/answer sessions and basically the same in my opinion. Both of them charged me 400-500 dollars each for a useless session (very expensive and useless for a 30min-ish session). Why do we need 2 doctor visits for the very similar questions and charge the customer twice. And both of them are in Swedish (and doctor refers to another doctor in the same system so Swedish could charge you twice). Those online visits didn't get anywhere as I expected. They will always ask to do a sleep test. The test is delivered as an in-home test and they will charge you another 700 dollars. It's a very simple device you attach to your finger and chest. As an in-home test device, I expected some basic functionality from the device as "reset the test". But that device is designed not to give you this option so if for any reason you fail to complete the test (for example, in my case, I didn't have a full night sleep for the first night), there is no way you can to a reset and test again at home. You will need to bring the device back to Swedish and pay another 700 dollars to do another test. I don't think this is a fair situation for any patient especially I know the test I have done will not result in desired testing results. I asked to do another test without charging me again since the test is fulfilling its desired function. It should be considered as incomplete test. Plus, they don't tell you beforehand about all these (regardless your situation and testing result, as long as you take the device home once you will be charged once. They don't tell you what considered as a failed test, how long you need to sleep to consider a successful test...). I'm only expecting something very simple: "I had a bad night sleep. Can I reset this device to test again at home?" I don't believe there is any extra cost for such kind of ask. But if you assume that you will be treated as a normal patient and have your rights to do a re-test because a bad night sleep, you are wrong. They will use a ton of reasons as excuse to either get you into more expensive in-lab test or another separately billed in-home test. I'm not trying to be unreasonable as a patient. I told them that I will be easily satisfied with your expert decision if I believe the in-home test is delivered as expected (such as "I believe my last night sleep is a good one and the sleep data can be used for the test"). But in my case, I don't even believe the test is delivered in its desired form and obviously the process is set up to not even let patient to re-test in those situations (just to maximize Swedish profit). At this point I'm charged around 1500 dollars but just with an inconclusive test result. I think Swedish just lost a customer/patient forever. I will share this experience with all my colleagues and friends (and others on the internet) so they can avoid the same trap.
