My husband was going to trade in his Roadmaster and worked on some financing, but then fell in love with an ICON on an out of state trip and they were able to beat the price -so guess what? I ended up with the bike he thought he was getting from Rollin Fast since the deal was already in the works. Since then, we've purchased two other bikes privately. Once the Gilroy is running, that will make four bikes in our home and I can't imagine taking them anywhere else for service. What I appreciate most is that Greg and John never make you feel bad about your purchases or for trying to do your own work. They both share their knowledge and help steer you in the best direction. The shop is usually busy, but when we have problems John always calls back within about 24 hours and since they know we ride often, they do their best to keep us on that road. All the techs are friendly and as a woman it's really important to me that they never talk down to me -they all just want to share the love of bikes and keep you safe. I was surprised to find "no footprint" either good or bad, on the Internet for Persa Auto Repair,…read moreso I guess I get to start them off on a good note. I selected the shop for some recent brake/suspension work on my 2000 Ford Mustang mainly due to convenience as it's within walking distance from work. I couldn't have made a better choice however. The shop owner himself (ok, forget the first name at the moment, but "Mr. Persa") answers the phone for the most part and obviously is completely involved in the day to day operations. They promptly diagnosed the problem, were upfront about the costs with zero surprises later, and had it all fixed the same day. (Pretty fair amount of work - front brakes/calipers/rotors/wheel bearing assemblies.) All old parts were kept for my inspection. As you'd expect (and is not entirely unwelcome) they did suggest some new hoses/belts as the car is 13 years old, but were completely relaxed and no-pressure when I said I do that work myself. In fact I'd be awarding 5/5 except for two minor, but real, annoyances: #1, they put a license plate frame advertising the shop on my car without my consent (or even noticing for a few days) and while they were courteous in general in terms of keeping the car clean (paper mat on floor and so on) there was a STRONG cigar smell in the car. I'm not even particularly sensitive to it, but it was strong and unmistakable. POSSIBLY just whoever drove the car was a heavy cigar smoker and just had the smell on their clothing, but the strength of the odor really makes me think they were smoking in the car. That might really annoy some people far more than me... So, all in all very highly recommended. Those two things did not affect in any way the quality of work or the friendly, personal nature of the business.
