Goddard started later in the season than promised. Fall was ending and the trees were shedding…read moretheir remaining leaves. He insisted on cutting a ridge vent. (We already had gable vents.) He never told me the downside of doing this. He had several roof panels off for two days. Lots of dirt, leaf litter and rain got into the attic. Would've been a good time to tell me we had insufficient insulation for the added ventilation. Also would've been easy for him to install the insulation with the panels off. But did he tell me? No. Our heating gas consumption DOUBLED, and of course he denied the ridge vent had anything to do with it. I never found an insulation contractor in the area. I thought about doing the job myself, but I can't squeeze through the tiny attic access port, and it's too dangerous for me, as there's no floor and I have balance issues. I'm running the heat 10 degrees below what we used to set, freezing my butt off, and still paying much higher bills. I called Goddard a couple times to address water spots that developed in a couple rooms. He wasn't nice about it. He claimed they were old spots and got angry with me. Both gutters stopped working properly. Water is falling on the front and back porches. Today I discovered one reason. He installed the drip edge tight to the fascia. The water curls around and onto the wood. It has rotted. He should know this would cause damage. I'm going to have to get someone to take off the gutters, replace the wood and then reinstall the old or new gutters. Maybe I'm judging him to harshly, but it seems to me that his job is not just to put on roofs, but also to keep his customer's homes comfortable and in good repair.

He was originally recommended to us by our painting contractor, and now I wholeheartedly give him my recommendation for projects big and small.

When I raised concerns, the responses were slow and didn't really address the problems in a meaningful way. Jeremy Sager (owner) is also a despicable human being, disrespectful, rude, inconsiderate, greedy, etc. Never rely on JKS for anything.

I was at Texas Roadhouse tonight when I saw a Guy in a JKS Home Improvement Truck park in the lines…read moreof a handicap spot. The poor people parked in the Handicap spot had a little boy in a wheel chair who looked to be around four or five, who appeared to have Cerebral Palsy. It was raining and they couldn't get the poor little guy in the van because this guy parked so close in the yellow lines. The people had to go in and ask for someone to come move it. The guy comes out with an attitude saying "looks like a perfectly good spot to me. Looks like a spot." The dad of the kid was rightfully getting really annoyed and this guy was being a complete jerk, even though he was obviously wrong and caused this little guy to be in the rain while they tried to get him to move. The mom looked like she was about to cry. I heard the guy say "What are you going to do call my boss? Go for it. Call my boss" and then laughed. I looked on the website and he appears to be the owner, which is why he didn't care. I didn't call because I figured it would fall on def ears. Before you support JKS Home Improvement, I suggest you think about the kind of person you are dealing with!!! If he can be so rude to parents of a wheelchair bound CHILD after he was the one who parked in a spot he shouldn't have, imagine how he's going to treat a customer!!! It took everything I had not to get involved, but it would not have been good if I did!
