Susan also advised me to first wait for them to order a sample tile before I placed my order and advised me that the sample should be in in a few weeks. Two months later, when I had heard nothing back, called in. After finally getting past their terrible voicemail system that constantly told me it had not yet been set up so no messages could be left, I finally spoke with salesperson who told me Susan would get back to me in a few days. Two weeks later, still no call back, left both a voicemail message and sent email to Susan's attention. Now one month after that, still no call back, no reply to the email... nothing. What a huge waste of my time and a needless delay of two months for no reason whatsoever. Fortunately, I wrote down the tile manufacturer's name and was able to finally contact the manufacturer directly to proceed with my order.

We worked together for 2 months to find the perfect flooring. Not once during the process did he mention he is CASH ONLY as he had one bad experience with a product only (no install) chargeback a few years ago. Since credit cards provide a lot of consumer protection in regards to warranty and paper trail records for warranties, we contacted the HQ for Floor Coverings International to ensure they would keep the records in case this local store goes out of business, as our flooring came with a 20 year warranty to the tune of $5000. The HQ staff was very helpful, they understood the problem with cash only records and offered to speak with John to see if he would accept a partial cash and partial credit payment to solve the problem. They also stated they had a similar problem with another location skipping town and leaving customers without service post-sale, so they understood our concerns as it's valid. They also pointed out John plans to retire soon so he won't be in business much longer likely however they would find another location owner to travel to us if need me. Southern hospitality at this HQ 100%. We texted and called multiple times to complete the sale over the next 2 weeks. After a 2 month working relationship with a contract in hand and ready to write him a check to begin work, John GHOSTED us without so much as a voicemail, letter, text, nothing. Highly unprofessional. After 4 weeks waiting for him to respond, giving consideration perhaps something had prevented him from replying, we ordered the same product from elsewhere and paid a few hundred more BUT we were able to get quick, friendly service, installation warranty, full product warranty, and use our credit card which gives us peace of mind long term for warranty records as well as cashback on the $5000+ purchase from our card issuer. Overall, we wanted to use John, HQ were reassuring and reasonable people, and he had better products than Endwell Rug or Discount Carpet. But, ultimately, someone who acts inscrutably pre-sale is going to be trouble post-sale. We are very happy with our new flooring and are bummed we could not support this small local business.

Pretty standard stuff you would expect from a sales visit, but the salesmen went on to describe the installation process that turned out to be inaccurate. He also said the workers would be able to do some other things and not charge me while they did the floor installation. This issue turned into a massive issue because there were no notes about it anywhere. So it became an "I was told" situation with no proof. The owner did try to make it as right as possible and I do appreciate it. - the first day they installed the floor. I came home to inspect after work. the floor was shifting in spots. Out of curiosity I pulled back a few pieces and found the installers had cut pieces of cardboard from the cardboard box the vinyl planks came in and used that to try to level the floor under the planks. The next day I called the owner who came over and after taking a look and having a discussion he again made it right by pulling the floor up and having it installed properly. If I had not noticed the cardboard, the cardboard would be under my floor right now. - At this point I had become very worried about the installation and would check in on the workers periodically throughout the day. I do want to thank Mike who came in on the second day. Mike was amazingly patient and communicative. He walked me through the process and helped me feel at ease knowing he was going to do a good job. Mike who's professional nature and the owner trying his best to make things right are what saved this experience. - The shower and floor look good. The shower doesn't leak and the floor is flat. If you decide to choose Bath Planet I would suggest that anything that salesman says you make them write it down! - It is my opinion Bath Planet is not worth the price and would not use again.
