Of course, that doesn't include any plywood that may be needed, so by the end of the job the final cost was $26,000.00. So now the shingles are torn off and the project starts at around 10 AM A crew of none English speaking feverishly start the job. They continue working (men and women) until almost dark. The next day we got a good look at the final job and noticed the most horrible, unprofessional, uneven "Valley" one would could possible have. I contacted JSK and told them I wanted them to fix it. Jeremy Sager (owner) said that there was nothing wrong with it at first, but after a heated discussion, he said that it was our fault because the roof rafters at that location were sagging and it would cost us another $5,000. to remedy the problem. My question to him was, if they knew the roof rafters were sagging, then why not tell us before they covered them up. The whole experience with Jeremy Sager was very unsettling and his behavior was that of a very spoiled and undisciplined Child. Needing some remodeling work and never had to use a contractor in the Ithaca area, I started asking for a good contractor. I received Chris Eder as reference to use. From our first phone call, he was very professional. Chris was very punctual for our first meeting and after looking at the job that I wanted him to do, he gave me a written email estimate later that evening. Every day for work he was on time, and every day when he was done working, he always cleaned up debris or mess that he had made as if he had not even been there. I am very pleased. I have had Chris do several different jobs for me on my house and rental and he has never failed me. He has remodeled three bathrooms, trim work around floor and windows, carpet/vinyl flooring installation, subflooring, installed electric baseboard heating, ceiling lights, minor electrical work and building storage shelves in my garage for me. Chris is always accommodating around my work schedule when he does a job for me. He has never started a job and then left me hanging days before returning. Every time I have asked him to do a job on whatever days I am available Chris is always there on time, always professional, very reasonable and works harder than a beaver with dull teeth.
