I was told the job would be completed in a month, but two days later they had an opening and so came and did a nice and very neat job of sealing the cracks and sealing the blacktop. The whole job was completed rapidly, allowing more than enough for the driveway to completely dry by evening. A couple of cracks did not completely fill so they came back two days later and redid these cracks, and even added a bit more sealer on 20% of the driveway at no additional cost. I am pleased to strongly recommend Pete's Absolute Asphalt. Pete inspected it and assessed the work that would be needed to take care of the cracks, failing edges, and overall condition. He explained the what's and why's of his prospective work thoroughly and advised what would happen if that work wasn't done. Pete is an honest and straightforward local businessman. He took my schedule into consideration and showed up when he said he would; took time with the job to do it right (weed whacked the grass edges, blew away the cuttings and leaves, and made sure the driveway was clear of any debris that would affect the sealing); and gave a firm estimate as to when I could again drive on it. He charged an appropriate and reasonable amount (what I expected), took half down and half upon completion. There were no surprise add-ons at all. Four Winds Chimney came out to inspect the two fireplaces in the house. We had not had them…read moreinspected since we purchased the house a few years ago. The technician, Mike, was outstanding as he recommended that I sit down with him to watch the inspection of the fireplace and explained in detail the images as they crossed the screen. Mike also inspected the chimney on the roof and the vent for the oil-based furnace in the basement. Mike provided me a complete report with pictures, and he went over his recommendations.
