We hired Lambert & Sons last summer to redo a shared driveway with our neighbor, spending five figures on the project. Unfortunately, the quality of the work has been extremely disappointing. Early this Spring, less than a year after completion, the entire section at the end of the driveway completely washed away into the roadside ditch. While I appreciate that they were prompt in returning to address the washout, the repair matched the quality of the original job: They failed to place sufficient riprap along the end of the driveway around the sides and drainage pipe as they had done originally, and streams are already beginning to wash the driveway away again just months after the fix. I raised this to Rick, explaining that the overall grading was poor/non-existent. Fresh gravel was spread unevenly, and proper build-up and critical drainage issues were completely ignored. Just one year later, the potholes he filled have completely returned and are as bad as they were before the project. His immediate response was to blame bad weather and heavy traffic. The work simply has not held up and they have not stood by their work. I would not recommend Lambert & Sons for driveway installation or drainage management. read more

I had multiple quotes for my driveway (see pictures). Part of the reason I chose Lambert and Sons was them providing a quote immediately when they came to measure. Both father and son were great to work with. The team was super efficient and friendly. They prepped this site in about a half-day and had the whole driveway paved the next day. Lambert and sons paved my driveway in the summer of 2019 (previously reviewed). They did an awesome job, sloping the driveway just right so all the water ran off away from the garage. We had previously battled a lot of water in the garage. Then, a year later, NYSEG came to replace natural gas lines, and called my house "ground zero". They dug huge holes through my (new) driveway, my yard, and across the street. They said they would have it fixed and repaved. I told them I would only let Lambert and Sons do it. They finally agreed and Lambert came back within a week and did another awesome job! They stripped the entire driveway and repaved from scratch. I have not had a drop of water in my garage since they first did it in 2019. They came when they said they would, on time, and finished the job quickly, making sure I was satisfied. I know from the first job that they were very reasonably priced. I don't know how someone could say they don't show up and bill at outrageous prices - not true! I highly recommend them. They even talked me out of the extra price for adding a drain in front of my garage, which they fixed by sloping the driveway properly. read more

They never show up when they say they will, and then suddenly appear without notice. They do not complete jobs they were hired to do, and then they bill you at outrageous prices. There are many more honest, reliable, and dependable contractors in the area. read more
