Charles is a good guy to buy a car or truck from We drive down from Paso because it's a better experience snd no bad surprises We bought a new superduty in 2017 and we special ordered another in December It came in on Saturday and we picked it up No problem. We paid $500 over factory invoice which we had agreed upon and knew the cost when we ordered it We used Golden 1 credit Union for financing

I appreciated the valet service...pick up and delivery back to Nipomo... of Mullahey Ford in Arroyo Grande. The service was prompt and on time both directions. And my car was clean and vacuumed. This service was convenient and time saving and driver was pleasant and personable!

    Alignment cam almost fell out!

STAY AWAY FROM MULLAHEY FORD!!! I took my van here 6 months ago to get an alignment done. When I got it back from the dealer, I noticed the steering wheel wasn't straight (angled to the right) and the van still didn't drive straight. So i drove it home and its been parked in the driveway until last Wed (7/8/20). I'm going on a family road trip up to Oregon and decided to take it to get re-aligned because I knew something wasn't right. Instead of taking it back to Mullahey, I decided to go to another Ford dealer (Paso Robles) to have them align it. I get a call from Paso Ford telling me they can't align it because the alignment cam (see picture) is damaged & had almost FELL OUT!!! WTF!?!?! This could have been really bad, I transport my kids in the van going up and down the grade... Apparently, the Mullahey Ford "technician/mechanic" forgot to tighten the cam down after he had aligned it. The alignment cam is suppose to sit flush on top of the upper part of the I-beam (directly on top of the ball joint)....and it's NOT. The alignment cam worked itself out on the drive home from the dealership, thank god it's been sitting in the driveway & not being driven since covid started. If the mechanics can't remember to tighten things down what they un-tightened, makes me wonder what other incompetent things have they done in the past to other vehicles. I'm just glad the alignment cam didn't fully fall out & cause us to wreck or get into an accident. Hey Mullahey Ford: Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey (FYI) DON'T GO TO MULLAHEY FORD! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Bait and Switch scam alert. It is one thing to ask over sticker when you're an authorised ford dealer. Which it's a shame that ford is allowing it. But double the markup over sticker after a customer is showing interest and giving all his financial information and calling it a "bad math" is nothing but dishonesty. Enjoy the steal, it won't last for long.

    Top notch used vehicles too!!

We are so pleased with the exponential customer service and the purchase of this awesome 2014 Ford Escape...and that you provided an opportunity to purchase a warranty! But most importantly, that our son, who is just beginning his family, was able to finance something affordable, clean, nice, and safe for himself and our baby granddaughter. Everything about this experience provided a sense of security...ALL IN THE MIDST OF A PANDEMIC! Every aspect of this experience was top notch from the lot attendant who told us, "the only pressure you'll get here is in our tires", to the signing of the contract; a proud family man, Mr. Gonzales, shared stories about his own son (who's pictures were everywhere in his office), while he prepped the contract in sync, never skipping a beat. Best experience ever! When Momma or Daddy need to purchase new...we'll be back.

The day I picked her up!

Kurk Scheer and the entire crew at Mullahey Ford were amazing. I had to order my new 2021 mustang (yes, it's ORANGE) during the summer and they walked me through the process and communicated well (delivered in November). They were easy to work with and lots of fun. Plus, they have a popcorn machine. Would I recommend them? I think I just did :-) FIVE STARS.

To start off, it was an extremely disappointing experience from the get go. I stopped by the Mullahey Ford here in Arroyo Grande, CA with my sister to help her check out the car she found online and really liked. The internet and fleet salesman, Charles Holden, that I can't even say helped us while we were in, had zero knowledge when it came to the questions we had about the 2018 Ford Expedition MAX 4dr 4x4 that he had just quoted us online. When asked a question his go to response was "I don't know". He had quoted a $23,777 discount on a 2018 Ford Expedition Max limited edition 4dr 4x4. When we showed him the quote he had sent us (see attached photo) he proceeded to back peddle and say this was all a mistake and that he didn't even have this vehicle in a 4x4. They only had a 4x2 and that even if they did have a 4x4 this quote was a mistake and that we essentially came in for no reason; like this was our mistake not his. I could not be more blown away by Charles Holden's unprofessionalism and this company's lack of attention to detail when it comes to sales and customer service. Please do your self a favor and stay away from this train wreck of a company

Finally back in June, I decided it was too much of a headache to try and maintain it and deal with its eccentricities, so I started shopping around for a decent used car. Initially I was looking for something as cheap as possible off of Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, but my mother convinced me to look for something in a slightly higher quality range, something reliable and dependable enough for her to borrow to drive down to San Diego and see relatives once or twice a year. And I'm glad she did, because otherwise I probably would have ended up with something nowhere near as nice as the 2015 Volkswagen Passat from Castro Auto Sales that I ended up with. I was waiting to write this review until she and I had been on one such roadtrip, because while it has performed well around town here so far, I knew that would be the real test of it. And it passed with flying colors! So I am very happy with the purchase. The salesman Mo was very straightforward and not high-pressure. He was easy to deal with. My family knows an independent mechanic that we go to frequently when we have an issue with one of our vehicles, and we acquainted ourselves with a friend of his who works at Tom's Auto Service across the street from Castro, and both of them said the same thing: the majority of the car dealerships around here are sketchy and not worth buying from, but Castro is the real deal. I am inclined to agree. The car runs great, it is a smooth and comfortable ride, and I've gotten several compliments on it already! Whenever I am in the market for another vehicle in the future, I am going to come back to Castro.

Perfect for young buyers, people who want to pay cash, people on a tight budget. Sadly, the previous owner or manager, Chuck I think his name was, passed away last year. Since then, I have notice a drop in quality and increase in prices to the cars they sell. Last year I bought a beater car for my daughter. It was nothing but trouble. Today we went back to the dealership to try and find another car at a fair price. Not only were the cars above KBB, but the cars were not in very good shape. Examples: cars that squealed and shimmied driving around the neighborhood, a car that clunked when shifted in to reverse. Out of the 3 cars were drove, all 3 would need new brakes. As I returned the 1st car, another gentleman dropped some keys off and said, "this car should have been left at the junkyard." The staff I have encountered have always been nice and helpful to me. I would give them 5 stars. Ultimately, we bought another car from a local dealer down the road. Here's the deal-- if you are poor and just need to get by, then you should go by and check them out. BUT understand something- these cars are ALL as-is. Once you sign your name, that car (and all of it's problems) are yours. They TOTALLY allow you to drive it, take it to your mechanic, etc.... Also know that they do NOT do financing. YOU must pay 1/2 down on the car and finance the rest yourself. SO..... research the cars on the lot BEFORE you go in. I don't feel like they are shady, I think their attitude is "this is our inventory, it's as-is, take it or leave it."

I would walk past the area and look at the cars just for laughs and giggles and then go on my way doing my own thing when I was done. There are no pressure sales tactics and not once have I been pressured into buying a car here (and I've been here PLENTY of times) which is a HUGE PRO if you're not looking to buy any of the vehicles. The con came when my dad found a vehicle that he really wanted to purchase and was seriously considering making a purchase. It might have been a good thing when there was no one pestering you to buy a car when you go on their lot, but when you really need someone in regards to making a purchase, they show the same attitude. Forgot the guy's name, but he really looked like he didn't want to be there. Throughout the entire process the man never uttered a word and when he did, the man sounded really annoyed. Whatever! The sales guy can pout all he wants. Despite his negative attitude throughout the entire transaction it was still worth the bargain my dad got when he purchased his car. It's such a great ride, low mileage, and he bought it over a thousand dollars less from KBB! We were skeptical about the vehicle at first, but after making trips to SF and LA with the car, we have not had one issue with the car! The car has been under my dad's possession for almost a year now and it still runs GREAT. I'm so satisfied with what my dad got from this liquidation center, that I'm actually looking to purchase a car from here when the right car comes. UPDATE (4/4/16): It's been a little over a year since we've had the vehicle and the car still runs great! We have not had a single problem with it since we've had at it. UPDATE (2/18/17): My parents still have that same car bought from the liquidation center and it's still running great! That car has been, without a doubt, the best investment ever in regards to vehicles. Still haven't found a car I would want, but when the right car comes, I'm driving back to the Central Coast and buy a ride. UPDATE (11/09/18): I found a ride for myself a month ago finally and so far have been very pleased with my purchase! In regards to the car my dad bought almost 3 years ago, it still runs GREAT. Almost 30,000 miles have been put in that car (with a recent trip to Las Vegas from Grover) and there have been zero problems! We've definitely had the best of luck finding reliable vehicles at that repo center and I'm hoping to say the same with my recent purchase.
