Initially I was looking for something as cheap as possible off of Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, but my mother convinced me to look for something in a slightly higher quality range, something reliable and dependable enough for her to borrow to drive down to San Diego and see relatives once or twice a year. And I'm glad she did, because otherwise I probably would have ended up with something nowhere near as nice as the 2015 Volkswagen Passat from Castro Auto Sales that I ended up with. I was waiting to write this review until she and I had been on one such roadtrip, because while it has performed well around town here so far, I knew that would be the real test of it. And it passed with flying colors! So I am very happy with the purchase. The salesman Mo was very straightforward and not high-pressure. He was easy to deal with. My family knows an independent mechanic that we go to frequently when we have an issue with one of our vehicles, and we acquainted ourselves with a friend of his who works at Tom's Auto Service across the street from Castro, and both of them said the same thing: the majority of the car dealerships around here are sketchy and not worth buying from, but Castro is the real deal. I am inclined to agree. The car runs great, it is a smooth and comfortable ride, and I've gotten several compliments on it already! Whenever I am in the market for another vehicle in the future, I am going to come back to Castro.

Actually...it was the Mullahey Ford Representative, Jim Beckman, who steered me in the right direction. Jim was exceptional...personable, knowledgeable, very "laidback", friendly and funny. Within minutes of the introduction to this F-250...my family and I were on a test drive. Needless to say, it went very well. Getting back to the Dealership, Jim was all smiles and asked how the test drive went. I replied...well, it was okay (when in fact, it went fabulously).
