I recently purchased a new home and was less than thrilled to find that the original garage door opener was poor working condition. However, I decided to replace it with a new motor. Muhly's Garage Doors came highly recommended, and I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service I received. Barbie, the friendly and knowledgeable receptionist (wife), answered my call promptly and scheduled an appointment for me the very next day. Shawn, the owner, arrived five minutes before our scheduled time. He took the time to explain everything in detail, including the installation process and what to expect. Shawn's expertise and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire process. He made sure that I was fully informed and comfortable with the new motor. Tyler, Shawn's son-in-law, came to assist with the installation. Tyler was incredibly helpful and patient, answering all my questions and guiding me through the process. He even took the time to explain how to program the new motor and shared some tips to ensure that it would work optimally. Tyler's professionalism and dedication to providing excellent service made a significant difference in my overall experience. I highly recommend Muhly's Garage Doors to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy garage door replacement service. They offer exceptional customer service and a seamless installation process. In just 48 hours, from the moment I contacted them to the time I received my new motor, I had the must positive and satisfying experience so far with contractors in this remodel. All within a great reasonable price. If you would like to support a true local and family owned business, trust in Muhly's Garage Doors!! Thank you!! read more

He was so helpful and friendly! I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family!! Thank you Muhly's! See you next year to replace the garage door! read more

Garage door decided to audition for a horror movie and stop working. I hollered at Muhlys, a delightful lady answered the call, and somehow summoned Tyler within an hour. Tyler rolled up, diagnosed the issue, fixed it, and then we somehow ended up discussing garage types and the secret to life itself. Man's out here repairing doors and expanding minds. Honestly, if I owned a garage company, I'd be trying to recruit him immediately. Fortunately for Muhlys, I do not. Excellent value, fast service, zero nonsense. The job was completed quickly, professionally, and my garage no longer operates like the 50's. Highly recommend. Will absolutely call again. read more

Wow! So so very impressed with everything about this company. They always answer the phone, don't have to wait long for service and the technician was not only very skilled and helpful, but very kind and funny too! Win! Win! Win! And the garage door now opens so quietly! read more

Looking for garage door services? We are very pleased with Muhly's. Great people, reasonable pricing, and flexible scheduling. Tyler, the technician, restored some stubborn garage remote programming for my sister. This week, Tyler, serviced our garage door on a short notice Saturday appointment to replace a spring for our garage door that had broken. Tyler was efficient. We joked that it took more time to get my car out of the garage than it required for him to replace the spring. We love supporting local family businesses. read more

Great company to work with! We had technician, Tyler out to fix some springs on our garage door. I called in the morning and in the matter of two hours they were able to repair the door. Very friendly company and easy, quick to work with. Affordable as well. Thank you! read more

My garage opener said it was time to do maintenance/ tune up and saw the $99 ad from Muhlys in the local Forest Grove flyer. I thought I also needed a replacement striping on the bottom of the garage door so I called them up and got scheduled a few days later and Tyler showed up on time (after getting a call ahead of time that he was on the way which was appreciated for a Saturday morning) Tyler was great, very personable, checked everything out, asked a couple questions on what work had been done in the past and was honest enough to tell me I didn't need to replace the weather stripping if I wasn't having any water issues. That's the kind of honesty and professionalism you don't see much anymore and why I would recommend this family business to anyone looking for a simple tune up or anything garage door / opener related. I've added Tyler and Muhly's to my contact list and it will be who I refer any friends and family to from now on. Thanks again. read more

Tyler was great, excellent customer service! Tyler was very professional and completed our service timely.

Muhly's garage doors is the best. From the minute I called to say I had a problem with my garage door to when Tyler showed up to make the repair everything was 1st rate. They diagnosed my problem over the phone in less than a minute. Tyler arrived well within the repair window and not only did he fix the broken spring he also fixed the squeaking and made sure everything was alighted and working correctly. The price was fair and reasonable and nothing changed in the price from the phone estimate through the in person repair. Thank you for your great service. read more

I called Tyler this morning letting him know that we broke a spring and he said he would be out after 3pm the same day to fix it. He also said he would call to let me know when he was on his way and he DID JUST THAT. It only took him 30 minutes to replace two springs and he noticed one of the main contact points for the quick release was failing so he added a longer strut piece and anchored it even better. He went above and beyond. Great customer service Tyler. You are a great addition to the company. I use them at the school district as well and they are always willing to help, prompt and very friendly. I will continue to call them for service both at my house and the school district in the future. Keep up the good work. read more

We've used Muhly's for years, with two homes. Until this point, all have been for regular servicing (no repairs) to keep our garage door openers in smooth working order, but a few days ago we discovered the garage door wouldn't open! Yes, you guessed it- a spring had busted into two pieces! We thought we might have to park outside for several days or even a week until we could get an appointment, so you can imagine how surprised we were when on the SAME day we called and got an appointment! The person on the phone (sorry- didn't catch her name!) was extremely helpful, friendly, and professional! She scheduled the appointment, and later that afternoon, Tyler came out. He fixed it in a very short amount of time, and then serviced both doors! He was friendly and personable, and took lots of time to answer several questions for us. He even advised us on a service we wondered about doing that day, but he was forthright that we didn't need to do it at this time, which saved us money. Based on this service call, we would highly recommend Muhly's! read more

Tyler was so friendly & knowledgeable about my needs to replace our double garage door opener. They are the only company I use as they already replaced our single car opener a couple years ago. I highly recommend them to others. Pricing too is affordable and they were able to come same day that I called. read more

Tyler was amazing. I love our new door. I asked for the highest quality and got it. Now I have a step-daughter suite. When my step daughter comes to visit I can go to the garage and it is sweet! read more

They did a nice install but are pretty expensive. After my work they made an appointment to work with my neighbor but never showed up, only called after the fact. Not very professional in that respect. That's all that is necessary for you to know but for some reason Yelp insists that you write a novella before they're publish it but you probably already knew that. Just filling space here folks. read more

The job was done but the cost were not disclosed ahead of time... I had a spring on my 8' garage door replaced. The man identified himself as Mr. Mulhly. The job took less than 30 minutes to complete. After the job was done, he said the cost was $445.00. Before I paid by check, I asked him for a receipt of services. He told me this wasn't his service truck and he told me that it was $125.00 for the services call. A few days later I was sent a invoice for a service call to replace the door spring @ $445.00. I called the Muhlys office and spoke to the office manager and biling department person and asked to have a itemized receitpt of services. She refused to give me a break down of the cost of items including the springs. I asked her if she knew the cost of the springs and she responded "yes" She refused to tell me the cost of the springs upon multiple requests. As a customer I like to know what I was actually paying for and she said "I don't do the billing that way". If you take the $445 charged-$125 service call =$320 remaining balance...I can only assume that the springs cost me $160 each. If you go to your local hardward store the springs are aproximately $99 pair. Lesson for me here is to get an itemized quote ahead of time and hire a company that is willing explain their cost upfront. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Muhly's Garage Doors. I called and got scheduled for the following day. Thank you. If I need anything Garage Door related, I'm calling these folks. Already referred my neighbors. read more

Over the weekend the large torsional spring that assists in mechanically lifting up the garage door broke on one side. After asking some friends on a recommendation, this led us to the team at Muhly's Garage Door. I went to their website, sent them an email @ 4:53 PM with a couple of photos of what needed to be repaired and the model number of my garage door opener. I figured with how busy everyone has been, it would be 2-3 days before I would hear an answer. To my unexpected surprise, they sent an email to me later on that evening @ 7:35 PM stating that they they had the parts and could fix the garage door the next afternoon. (I had to look at the email a couple of times to make sure I was reading it right...after all it was after 5 PM.) Anyway, it is the next day, they have arrived this afternoon and with a minimum of fuss, replaced the spring and the garage door operates properly! Can't beat their service and desire to take care of me as a customer. read more

We had a damaged door that needed to be replaced and our spring also broke the day after Muhlys came out to evaluate door and schedule an install date. I called and they moved install date up to the next day. they did an excellent job on the install and were very helpful at answering our questions and concerns. Also decided to install a new belt Drive opener which we love. Thanks to Barbie for her quick response and getting the install done so quickly. read more

After an outrageous quote that I received from a home warranty service call I reached out to Muhly's Garage Doors for a second opinion. Without hesitation I signed the quote and scheduled my install. Muhly's came in at 1/2 the price of my original quote including a couple of upgrades. I received their name from a neighbor who had an equally pleasant experience. They are dependable and family run. I don't foresee needing another garage door in the near future so the best I can do to support this business is to leave this 5 star review here on Yelp. read more
