What can I say, two gems of realtors that are great to work with. Multiple times using Chris Zanger as he is professional, tenacious, and very attentive. Not only are they experts in the South Bay area. They are fun to work with during a very stressful time. Knowledge & will be a strong liaison for you. read more

We just sold our townhome with Chris Zanger at Mainstream and it was an awesome experience. I had met Chris several years ago and he provided us with great information about the market and the process well before we were actually ready to list. Chris went above and beyond on several occasions and made the whole process great. The pricing strategy was very effective and he was a great negotiator and got us the rent back we wanted and relatively quick close. He went above and beyond trying to make sure that we were informed throughout the process. He was also willing to baby sit the house on several occasions when we needed to have work done and let people in and out. In addition to Chris, the rest of the team at Mainstream is great. Very helpful and professional throughout the process. read more

I've used Matt Mueller twice: once to sell my home in San Jose, and again to sell my parents' home in Santa Cruz. He's been spectacular on both occasions. My first real estate transaction was disastrous as the agent treated us as a pathway to a commission instead of human beings making a massive investment. When it came time to sell we found Matt through a friend and took a chance on a difference experience... and it couldn't have been more different. Matt is solid, straightforward, always upbeat, thorough, and honest to a fault. Our home sale went incredibly smoothly, and when we ran into some issues with a couple of shady offers Matt guided us and took care of us the entire way. When it came time to sell my parents' home we didn't think twice about asking Matt to help us out. We accepted an offer just before the state COVID lock down and the buyer ran into trouble that delayed closing, but we didn't want to give up because we'd have had to start over and accept less money. It took nearly five months but we closed last week, and Matt kept things moving forward the entire time. If the opportunity arose again I wouldn't hesitate for even a split second to call Matt. When you find honest mechanics, accountants, and real estate professionals, you hang on to them. I don't know how Matt is with cars or double-entry bookkeeping, but I'm not going anywhere else for real estate without a fight. read more

First class - superior example of a firm that looks out for the clients at all levels and facets. I simply cannot emphasize how much of a pleasure it was to work with Chris in finding a home for our growing family. As we are all aware, the SF housing market is off the charts. This means that months are spent stressfully looking at homes, making offers, and repeating. Chris was with us every step of the way. He guided us through the process (our first home purchase) and was accessible seemingly 24/7 by email and phone. He looked carefully at each house with us and offered his honest opinion -- making it very clear that this process was about customer service for him, not profit. In the end, it was his recommendation to write a letter to the owners of the house we purchased that got us the deal. Excellent thinking on his end. It has been 6 months since we have had our home and we are thrilled. To cap it off, Chris is STILL instantly accessible by email and phone. He has gone out of his way to put us in contact with reputable and reasonable contractors to do some work. In addition, he has helped us navigate any issues that come up, e.g., in the context of home warranty service. The only horse Chris has in the race now is one about customer service. And this is appreciated. I highly recommend him and is company. read more

This is a long overdue review! I have been part of the Mainstream Real Estate Group (Family*) for over 2 years now. I originally started my career with a large corporate type firm and I am sure glad I made the transition. The Mainstream Leadership teams is outstanding. The words are limitless on how I can describe Chris and Matt. To keep it short I will say they provide an amazing atmosphere that increases productivity, energy and passion for this business. Their vision, direction and support cultivate an environment where I have been more productive and happier in these past few years. My move to the Mainstream Real Estate Group (Family*) has been career changing in a positive way. Yes, I was initially hesitant to make the change since anything new is scary. However, I am beyond thankful I made the the transition. Without a doubt Chris and Matt helped make my transition not only easy but seamless. Don't be afraid to make the move, the Mainstream Family is awesome! read more

I'm a loan officer and have worked with Chris Zanger on two purchase transactions where Chris was the realtor for the buyers. He is very proactive and quick to get on things where his help is needed. The buyers on both transactions were able to close on time, with no issues, as he was always on top of things in making sure the sellers where completing their required activities. I have been a loan originator for 20 years and unfortunately have seen how some realtors simply do not care and are just in it for the money. If you need hard working realtor who cares about your needs look no further. Chris is your man! read more

I am updating my 0 star review to a 5 ALL STAR all because of the switch of agents internally at Mainstream! I was working with Cassandra Bower before and it was such a frustrating experience and we thought we lost the house of our dreams! I was beyond upset on the fact we lost the house due to Cassandra's incapability. I had to call Chris, the owner of the company and left him an voice mail of what happened. Chris called me back right away and apologize about the experience we had, and understood where I was coming from, and said he was going to address the issue but unfortunately the property has an accepted offer and he wish there is something he could do... Well, he DID!!!! 3 weeks later after we looked about another hundred houses and can't find what we like... I was completely losing faith and received an VM from Andrew, at Mainstream. I called him back only to learn the accepted offer fail through and Chris wanted him to call me and work on getting the house. What an amazing news!!! I couldn't believe it. More importantly, I was working with US Bank and what do you know? Another incompetent home mortgage team so I was about to give up because the bank told me they made a mistake on the preapproval and don't think I can get the loan. Now I had the cleanest profile and near perfect credit score so the news was devastating when I returned from my vacation. Andrew pulled this all together for me!!!! He work tirelessly and always returns my phone call within mins! I never have to worry about not be able to get ahold of him and he is truly... A problem solver!!!! He has a tons of relationships and resources in the industry and knows just about everybody! He was able to escalate the matter to the upper management at US Bank and thinking outside the box, and helped me to find ways to work through the loan, and remain clam and collective throughout the process! In my opinion he was the only person who made this deal happen. He is very process driven and truly wants the best of his clients and do not care about upsetting people who do not contribute. In my eyes he was my loan officer, he was my title go to person, he was my escrow officer and furniture remover!!!! He did everything when no body puts in time and effort to it! We honestly can't thank him enough and because of him, we closed our house today and got the keys to the best home that we thought we did not have a chance. Andrew, is truly the best in the industry who will go the extra 100 miles for his customer! I have never met or worked with any realtor who is so capable, and clear mind and has the ability to think about the situation and provide a solution. I am so happy that I called Chris on my lowest day, which ultimately leads Andrew, and our dream home to us! Andrew- job well done. You are the best and I will recommend you to everyone I know who is in need to sell or buy a home. Thank you so much!!! 9/30/2016 is an super important day for my husband and I, and Andrew made it all happened! If only you know how many road blocks we have ran into during the process... He made the impossible possible, please ask for Andrew for selling or buying your next home and I can assure you, he will get it done. Truly an amazing realtor and adviser! - Mingge, The Happiest Home Buyer on Earth :) read more

Matt Mueller's dedication to clients goals, objectives and best interests are unparalleled in the bay area. He has a deep understanding of the Bay Area Real Estate market and current activity and comparable sales, both of which are key in the leveraging the transaction to benefit of the client. His communications skills and work to stay one step ahead of the "other side" in developing strategic scenarios is superb. Having known and worked with several agents in the Bay Area I'm pleased to have been introduced to Matt and have had nothing but great experiences throughout the process with his leadership. read more

Looking for one's first home in the Bay Area can be overwhelming to say the least. We really appreciated Chris's willingness to take weekend after weekend to teach us about just how things work in this crazy market. He was really patient with us and answered all of our millions of questions. He really walked us through what to look for, watch out for, etc. In the end, we found the perfect house for us and couldn't be happier. What's particularly notable is his willingness to help us even now that we've been moved in for several months. We still call for referrals for various services, like electricians, contractors, etc. because we know we can trust his advice. We highly recommend Mainstream to anyone looking in the area! read more

It was so great to work with Zanger and Matt. When we first started looking we were told how crazy the market was, and that people sometimes put in over 20 bids until they get their bid accepted. When we spoke with Chris, he was able to calm us down and explained that everything is about timing. He was able to get us our home on our 3rd try, and we are very happy. I know that is not normal in this market place, but Chris worked hard for us and we can't say thank you enough! read more

If you want someone who is honest, compaasionate and reputable look for Joe Borromeo. He is the best in the business. Joe helped us with our first home purchased last month. We recently had the pleasure of working with Chris and his team in selling and buying a home. Chris was great to work with on both deals. His professionalism is top-notch and he clearly knows his business. Chris cares about his clients and made us feel as if we were his top and only priority. While I know he had many clients at the time, he was dedicated, attentive, and always had our best interests in mind at all times. Chris did a fantastic job in guiding us through the selling process. He successfully marketed the house and helped us get multiple offers. We received a great price for the house and it closed without a hitch! As for purchasing our new house, that process went just as smoothly. After a few short weeks of searching, we were under contract on a short sale. Anyone who has ever done this knows it can take a very long time to close on a short sale. Chris did it in record time. We truly believe we never would have gotten the house had it not been for Chris and his depth of real estate knowledge and experience. He was able to get us a great house that met every one of our "must haves. read more

In 2014 we sold our Cambrian home using Mainstream. We were referred to Chris from a family member. Chris and Mainstream were extremely easy to work with, and they helped us sell our house quickly and at a tremendous price. We then worked with Liz Kroft at the same brokerage to buy a condo in San Jose that same summer. The process was equally smooth. Liz was patient, and apparently very thorough as she brought many opportunities to our attention. We will call on mainstream in the future the sale & purchase of a home. read more

Can I give Mainstream more than 5 stars? We bought and sold our Cambrian home with Chris Zanger at Mainstream. As this was our first purchase and sale we felt unsure of the entire process. Chris walked and talked us through every step, making us feel confident and at ease with all the decisions we were making. Additionally, during the purchase, Chris recommended super stars for some of the renovations we planned to make. During the sale, as we were moving across country, Chris was our eyes and ears in CA, ensuring the safety of our home and belongings. We have been extremely happy with the staff and services at Mainstream! read more

This review is long overdue. I was just reflecting on how far we've come in our journey to home ownership in this super competitive market. We first me Chris Zanger at an open house in which he was the listing agent. We struck up a conversation with him in the hopes of getting some insight as we were planning on making an offer. My wife and I found his demeanor to be friendly and we could tell right away that he was very knowledgeable. Long story short, we didn't get the house but we saw how hard Chris was working for his client that we decided to switch realtors and work with Chris and his team instead. At this point, we were working with a Redfin agent and we were getting blown out every time! Our previous agent did not have a workable strategy that was in our best interest. His only advice was to waive "ALL" contingencies and outbid everyone. He was just in it for the commission. We had already lost out on 6-7 houses at this point with all offers at a premium above asking price. Once we found another house that we were interested on bidding for, we contacted Chris right away. We did not want to lose another house and were fully willing to pay through the nose and waive contingencies that we weren't really comfortable with in order to come in strong. Chris actually talked us out of paying more which ultimately saved us $35k and convinced the seller's agent to accept our preemptive offer. Chris also advised us not to waive certain contingencies which solidified to us that he was looking out for our best interest and not just counting his possible commissions! With the help of his team member Joe, we were able to finally close on our house after a long, hard struggle to make our dreams come true! This was 3.5 years ago but the experience was so effortless that it made a huge impression with us. This is coming from a guy who rarely posts anything. Good job Chris and thanks again! Kind regards, Ralph read more

We contacted Chris Zanger based on a raving referral from a friend, and after having introductory calls with a couple of agents, we felt that Chris made us feel most comfortable, by far, and that he would be able to best support our needs and represent us in our first time buying a home. We actively looked for homes over a span of about two months, with Chris spending about five weekend days touring homes with us, always flexible to meet at times that worked with our schedules. He helped us narrow down our search to specific neighborhoods and homes based on feedback we gave him from prior visits. After viewing 50 properties, we found a home that we loved, and after guidance from Chris on what to offer, it was accepted! Chris is very patient, and we never felt rushed at any point. He is also extremely responsive to emails, phonecalls, and texts, usually providing answers to our questions within hours, if not sooner, and he worked closely with our lender and title company to ensure everything was on track to close once our offer was accepted. (He even helped us pull that in by a week based on our request!) Chris really took time to understand our needs, and we felt that he was always looking out for our best interest. Even after we closed, there were a few things that needed to be sorted out with the seller, and he stepped in to resolve all of it. Chris is a genuinely nice guy who really cares for his clients, and we are so happy that we chose to work with him. Highly recommend Chris and the Mainstream team! read more

We have gone through both a home sale and purchase with Chris, and if we could we'd buy another house right now just to have the opportunity to work with Chris and Liz! Chris conducted himself very well when we came to him to get advice on our house; we found his advice extremely valuable. He demonstrated a high degree of expertise and his knowledge was clear and immediately actionable. He was sensitive to our concerns, and time-frame. In addition, his style was open and inviting to questions (and expressed appreciation for them) and willingly gave his time to responding to questions thoroughly. Chris is extremely enthusiastic about his work which is infectious. I certainly would recommend him read more

Selling a house and leaving a neighborhood isn't a naturally easy, stress-free experience- but it's made much, much easier by the right realtor. Once we made the decision to take on selling and moving, we met with Chris Zanger and talked over the process. Right from the start we felt like we were in great hands with Chris and his team at Mainstream. We were coached through the process of selling our house and all questions were addressed. We honestly felt like we were important. There was never a doubt that we would be in good hands, and we were, with our house selling in just a week after being on the market! The sale went smooth and we were incredibly pleased with the offer Chris was able to negotiate. Chris also helped us find a home in our new city. He was patient with our needs and made sure to keep communication flowing about the house search. He toured houses with us and for us and when we found "the house", he was on it! We got the house and we seriously can't thank Chris and his team enough. We love Mainstream and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!! read more
