Terrible food and terrible service. Would not go back. Only went because we had no choice and someone else picked it. We picked up pizza on the way home because the food here was so bad. I have to change my ranking to 2 stars. I have been there a total of 4 times and I have to say that 2 times the food was great and 2 times the food was not that great. But they are not consistent with there fish. The time it was good was because I believe it was catfish. The times that it is not good is they served tilapia, that fish is dry. I understand it's your business and you can serve what you want. But let the customer know when that you probably ran out of catfish and you substituted it with tilapia. Remember if the food is good the customer will come and eat. If it is not good we put it here so customer will know also. I will consider some where else to eat seafood at this point read more

My husband and I just moved here from the west coast. If you are used to WEST coast food and looking for that flavor you wont find it here. I had the cocktail and my husband had their combo plate. The cocktail just felt to thick and tasted of tomato. I thinned the broth with the soup they give you when you sit and added lime. To be fair you wont find that here in south Texas, I have the same review to give to multiple locations that we have tried when we first moved here as we had no kitchen to cook in for about 2 weeks. Only reason this place gets 3 stars from me is because their michelada was so on point, but after that...it all went downhill. My fried shrimp was cold and the middle parts of my fish were not even warm. Their fries were soggy and tasted like they had been sitting all day. Not sure what people see or taste when they review this place, it's not it. Service was pretty good and visiting with family was awesome...to reach their own. Don't go if u can't speak Spanish fluently. Was there yesterday, Tuesday, at 5:30. The young man/host said he spoke no English. After staring at us for a few seconds, he got a lady who spoke English. She acted confused so we asked what types of beer did they have, we could see a large ice chest filled with several choices but weren't allowed to walk over to it as just trying to be seated. I thought this place was very good. It is mainly seafood. They start you with chips, verde salsa, refried beans, and limes. The starters were great. I ordered the Pier 37. The meal was huge. The fish fillets were breaded well and tasted fresh. The shrimp were grilled and delicious. The shrimp cocktail was very good. It has cilantro, avocado, cocktail sauce, and lots of shrimp - very delicious. It also came with fries, onion rings, white rice, and a normal looking salad. The fries were very good. The onion rings were tasty, but weren't anything too crazy I didn't think. The rice was rice. The salad was the only thing I wasn't hot about. It seemed out of place and didn't look the best. We visited this place for the first time today. Food was good. Service was a little slow. Has a bright Applebee's appearance. The clientele was mostly under 35. I believe we were the only non Spanish speaking patrons. Menu is in Spanish and our waitress spoke limited English. The reason for the 3 star is due to their credit card machine being out of service. If the staff would have told us prior to eating that we could not pay with a credit or debit card we would not have eaten. Luckily after scrounging around my wife found a $50 bill stashed in her wallet. I guess we could have washed dishes. Never should a place of business allow customers to order and eat prior to letting them know their credit card machine is out of service. read more
