Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and had a great demeanor to her. I started off with a Premier Corona to curb off any bad energy I might have walked in with & humbled myself to give this mom and pop joint a chance. The menu offers all your standard Mexican seafood staples. We went for the mariscada for 2 which was a terrific portion for two grown adults with a heavy appetite (mind you no app's were ordered). In the mariscada there was plentiful fish, shrimp, jalapeño cheese bites, fries, and onion rings. This was accompanied by two plates of rice, salad and two cups of consomé. The rice was flavorful & the consomé was super tasty, on the heavier side since it had pieces of shrimp and heavy handed spice but very memorable. The batter used on all the food was very palatable. Needless to say, dinner ended up being delightful. The manager rang us up and informed us that they would start having karaoke nights starting in January. The entire time they played great Mexican music that will have you strumming to the beat. So I'm positive their karaoke nights will be a hit. Tired or wanting to try a new Mexican seafood spot? Everyone in my group raved about the food even the little soup they serve before the food arrived is savory. I tasted a few of the other entrée from my group and I loved it all. Our server Cristo gave us a very friendly warm experience. She was good always attentive. The music is playing the staff sings happy birthday in unison. Quite a show. A Hidden Gem of Authentic Mexican Flavor and Elevated Hospitality…read more If you're searching for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further than this incredible spot. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and enthusiasm that set the tone for an exceptional evening. Let's talk about the food: the grilled octopus was nothing short of perfection--expertly charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired beautifully with fresh, vibrant microgreens. Every bite was a masterclass in balance and flavor, showcasing the kind of culinary skill that can only come from recipes passed down through generations. The authentic Mexican flavors here are deeply rooted in tradition, yet elevated with a modern touch. It's clear the chef-owner has honed their craft under Michelin-starred mentors. That level of expertise comes through in every dish--from the nuanced seasoning to the thoughtful plating. And then there's the drink: La Paloma de Mi Corazón--hands down one of the most refreshing, clean-tasting cocktails I've ever had. Bartender Benito is a true artist behind the bar, blending flavors with precision and passion. He absolutely rocked that drink! The customer service was exceptional throughout. Attentive without being overbearing, every staff member made us feel genuinely cared for. It's rare to find a restaurant where both the front and back of house operate in perfect harmony. Whether you're a local foodie or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Authentic, elevated, and unforgettable. Can't wait to come back. It's not the food, but the food is average at best. Nothing special. The big issue is the service. They are very good at telling you want you want to hear with no knowledge that is case. e.g. I asked about my order after longer than expected with nothing served. I was told, "They are just finishing." The waitress had no way of knowing this. She didn't go check. She didn't ask anyone and became offended when I asked, "How do you know that?". The food showed up 15 minutes later by the manager who wanted to discuss my comment. No apology for the over 20 minute wait from the time the order was put in. The arrogance and attitude of the help is all you need to know is what we tell you. Don't challenge our authority. The food isn't good enough to overcome this treatment. There is no ambiance. Only two other tables with guests both times I went. The help stays behind the bar talking amongst themselves.
